I found some really good solutions alike : CollabNet (on grails) and others
But when I want to make some changes for my own I really want it being ASP.NET based. Sadly I can't find good solution for it.
Is there open-source project-management systems on asp.net ?
Added : So I'm looking for something that will highlight and browse sources and shows the changes. - that is my main tasks.
Here's a listing of mostly all the ASP.net open source projects.
The majority are not really project management though. There is issue tracking though which can be part of project management:
http://wiki.asp.net/page.aspx/388/aspnet-open-source-projects/
try bugnet. Though its much of a bug tracker but maybe it helps.

I want a simple html and javascript based web page for editing a single document for documentation of an app that I am making. it should be editable by multiple people if possible asking for a password before it registers. I have ftp access to a web site but that is it. no database. I did not find anything that will point to a single file and just simply edit it without any software requirements. it would be nice if it were mobile friendly too.
I work for a hosting provider so that is a good question imo. What you are looking for is a flat file storage CMS to avoid a database. Requiring user management and simplicity you will not want to code this from scratch. We deal with alot of CMS (Content Management Systems) and most are bloated and require MySQL.
Check Out: http://get-simple.info/
I fired an installation up and it is very easy to install, has alot of features, and is very WordPress like which means it looks good out of the box and is very easy to use.
I hope this helps you out and if you do use it let me know your thoughts.

Does anybody knows a good vendor bundle for symfony2 for Sitemap generation with minimal modifications.
I think that this article is a good primer for creating a sitemap any which way you like - I can easily see how you can adapt this to your specific needs as required. (Although I think I would rather push the route generation down into the template on general principle - that way you won't have to pass the hostname in.)
There also is a PrestaSitemapBundle available offering further tools for generating sitemaps in Symfony.

I have a long list of categories and keywords provided by one client. Is there any way/tool to avoid one by one manual creation of them.
I'm not aware of any existing tools to do this, but it would be possible to build one that uses either the Content Manager .Net API or the Core Service (WCF web service) interface to programmatically create the C&Ks for you. Personally I'd probably go with the Core Service - if you google "sdl tridion core service" there is a wealth of information already in the public domain to help you get a better understanding of how to use it.
There's a particularly good article here - http://blog.building-blocks.com/creating-keywords-using-the-core-service-in-sdl-tridion-2011

anyone know of some well written (but not too complex) ASP.NET web applications/websites that i could download from code.google.com or something? i just want to peek at how some other projects look to get some ideas for how to structure my project before it goes live. many thanks.
Check here : Microsoft Official ASP.NET Starter Kits
Take a look at The Code Project. Lots of good stuff there.
CodePlex has a lot of the microsoft asp.net open source projects, also a good place to start
I would recommend using ASP.NET MVC 2 for new web development.
You can find proper 'real-world' sample application called NerdDinner and 185-page PDF walkthrough 'how-each-line-was-written on Code Plex. Nerd Dinner has many nice features, like intergration with maps or OpenID.
Running app is here: http://www.nerddinner.com/

Any good ones?
So far I have found IZWebFileManager, OXFileManager and AWS File Picker. The file manager should be able to delete, copy, rename, download & upload files.
You have WebFileManager created by our very own Jeff Atwood
(shameless plug)
The question is old, but it may still help someone:
http://elfinderaspnet.codeplex.com/
Uses elFinder as frontend and IHttpHandler as backend so it is compatible with WebForms and MVC.
Try here this manager, it can to you will approach.

I used HTTPCommander. Telerik also has a file manager control in their asp.net suite.
