I just installed RBloomberg and when I call blpConnect() it returns an error saying "This application has failed to start because XLCall32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
So, until here, re installing has been done three times including once through (install.packages("RBloomberg",repos="http://r.findata.org/")) and no change
I added the dll in R's path using Sys.setenv(PATH=..) and still the same error. Any idea on that issue?
Thanks
Whomever stumbles here. I had the same problem. I used Bloomberg Excel API diagnostics to find problems and do a repair. Once done, this issue went away.
this dll is a part of ms office - locating it under office installation folder and copying to C:\blp\API\Office Tools folder worked for me.
I think it is just not in the path - I copied to C:\WINDOWS

I'm pretty new to using Github and Git in general. But this error is driving me crazy because I can't find anyone with a similar problem..
In short. Whenever I try to commit a saved file to a repository in Github I get the following error:
enter image description here
I tried reinstalling RStudio and changing the project to a different folder because I thought maybe there was an issue with writing rights, so I don't think that is the problem. I find it interesting that the message inside the Error warning is in Spanish. I remember that RStudio was initially like with Colombian formatting or something like that, that I had to change to install and use packages. But I don't really remember that well what that was. However, I don't think it has anything to do with this.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I am trying to install sqlite studio and from what I have researched I have seen that I need to go to sqlitestudio.pl. However, once I navigate to the website I get an error saying: err: database or disk is full
I have downloaded the sqlite3tools and have done nothing at all with them. I have tried searching up the error to see if anyone else had the same issue as me but I have not found anything like I am experiencing. Usually, others have gotten this error using the database but as I mentioned above I have only just downloaded the tools from the sqlite official website. Does anyone know what could be the issue at hand here and could help me? I do not necessarily need sqlite studio but the GUI will be very helpful. Thank you so much ahead of time.
EDIT : So I just decided to download another tool, DBeaver as it supports SQLite and other RDB's as well so it will suit my needs. Will not mark this as solved yet just in case someone does know why this is happening and could help someone else.
The hosting server was indeed full. It is resolved now. Regardless of that, you can always reach binaries to download at GitHub releases: https://github.com/pawelsalawa/sqlitestudio/releases
After having a 4-month break from my .NET project I suddenly run into this error:
Could not find a part of the path c:\Users\...myusername...\.nuget\packages\.tools\Microsoft.Extensions.SecretManager.Tools
Can anybody explain why I should suddenly get this kind of error? I have checked that Microsoft.Extensions.SecretManager.Tools is not found in the path listed here. I will try to install the SecretManager (although I installed it one year ago), but I'm still confused why I get the error now.
Take a look if you have the package folder in your local machine, maybe when you added the new packages to a project the TFS marked them as pending to check-in and then later you removed them manually from your hard drive, at that moment the tfs has a package pending to upload that is not physically present on the hard drive and that is the error you are getting
After the last windows Security Update (Oct 17, 2014) my MVC 5 solution (System.Web.Mvc) started misbehaving. I'm using VisualStudio 2013. Thanks to the help I received in here I fixed the problem according to the instructions found on this page and that one.
However another problem has emerged. Everytime I debug my solution I got the following message:
C:\Program Files\IIS Express\ntdll.pdb: Cannot find or open the PDB file.
C:\Windows\System32\ntdll.pdb: Cannot find or open the PDB file.
I searched for the dll but I couldn't find it. In an attempt to solve the problem I emptied the Symbole cache and I reloaded all symbols from the Microsoft Symbol Servers in a new folder that I've created with read and write permissions. The problem remained.
In fact it's not an error because I can still run the solution by clicking on Continue and the website works well eventhough the ntdll.pdb is not found. How can I overcome this problem and how can I recover the ntdll.pdb?
Thanks
I think your solution resides here, which is the "Understanding symbol files and Visual Studio’s symbol settings" page. It describes how to configure VS's settings for using symbol files/where they're stored.
Additionally, you can acquire system PDB's for multiple versions of windows directly from MSDN, this is useful for remote debugging scenarios (production environments, or those with multiple host operating systems which need to be debugged.)
Ideally you would want to set up your own symbol store(s) and configure visual studio accordingly.
It has been answered before, but i don't know the way to find the exact solution. I took whole day to find the solution but i entirely stuck with this.
I was worked with my project nicely on day before yesterday. I designed many modules for doing my project further. AS usual i opened and started doing (I didn't get any errors) my project today in visual studio. To execute my old project(coding) once again, i checked in browser, as soon as i did, my face gone too bad :( because of this strange error. Error is,

I did deleting temporary files in this area : C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\Temporary ASP.NET Files. But again I'm getting the root folder when am running the project
Any help, would be more and more helpful to me. Thanks in advance.
The error message
An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format
means that there is an incompatibility in processor architecture. I think you installed either the 32- or 64-bit version of .NET and try to run your website in the opposite architecture.
You should install both the .NET framework versions, or change your application pool to use the right processor architecture.
