I'm using Wordpress 3.1.2 and custom fields are not appearing on the Post and Page edit pages. What am I missing?
Thanks
Check your Screen Options in the top right menu and see if Custom Fields is unchecked or not.

Good morning! I have a small problem with a Wordpress site. Basically our site contains information above the main menu. Before, this info, was editable via a meta field directly from the Wordpress back end on the HOME page, now (since I upgraded to Wordpress 5 and 6) this meta field to change those dates above the menu I can't find it. How can I solve? I tried looking at the .phps from the file manager but can't find that section. Could you help me?
Thank you
Good Morning. If these were default custom fields from WordPress then you should check in top right screen option whether "custom fields" are checked/enabled. In latest WordPress versions with Block Editor Enabled, you will find this option when you will click on 3 dots on Top right and then in Preferences>>Panels
please provide the steps to add an article using Elementor widgets.
Installed the elementor plugin
I see the elementor menu item
I am logged in as admin
I added a page and then clicked edit with elementor
I need to post an article
Just take for example the header block from the left side and drag and drop it onto your page. The headline now appears and can be edited there.
You can do the same with texts and other premade elements.
I have custom fields on my wordpress installation but after theme update, they disappeared from admin.
They still show the content on front-end, but I can't add new content from admin.
I already checked if it was unchecked in "screen-options", but it isn't there ...
I tried to deactivate every plugin and see if anything changed, but no.
I don't know what version you had, I am using Wordpress 5.2+. I had the same problem, I can't find the checkbox of Custom Fields in the Screen Options as it suppose to be but later on I found it in the Options of adding or editing post. Go to Posts > Add New > click on 3 vertical Dots on the top right conner > click on Options > once the options dialog box popped up you will see Custom Fields checkbox under Advance Panels.
Is there a way from which I can use any plugin and show Post or Page specific image gallery? The image gallery upload area should be displayed in Page when Creating or Editing the page below or above the text composer or should be at least in the page. And this gallery should not be hocked the default Image gallery of wordpress or at least should not show the images that's in default gallery.
Kindly let me know if anybody knows any plugin that does the above mentioned job.
You can do this simply by [gallery] shortcode. You can also set image ids like this: [gallery ids="729,732,731,720"]
Here is my answer: All my requirement got fulfilled by default "Media Library" tab. I just need to select the option "Uploaded to this page" from the dropdown. So, no need to use any plugin for the requirement I had.
I have a wordpress plugin and i want to create a dynamic page when the user activates the plugin. Page creation is already done. But i want to hide it from the pages menu. No matter how wordpress is configured i want to hide the page.
Page can be only accessed using the url.
Can anyone provide me a solution for this.
You can do it by assign a different value to post_type like dy_page
