Hi I am trying to add a web service in flex 4. This web service is deployed in share point 2010 in the intranet . I am able to see this wsdl file through browser but trying to introspect the service is giving an authentication error.
I am getting the following error :-
There was an error during service introspection.
WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: Unable to resolve imported document at 'http://sql2008:47672/_vti_bin/StoryboardingDatabaseConnect.asmx?WSDL'.: java.io.IOException: Authentication failure

The Data Services Wizard does not support (as of now, afaik) connection to https services, neither to ones that need authentication.
So you should add your credentials manually to your soap request's header using name-value pairs:
[{name: "userName", value: "yourUserName"},
{name: "password", value: "yourPassword"}].

Hi I have a Secured SOAP web service . I am able to hit from Soap UI successfully using the credentials .
When i am trying to configure the web service in any point studio i am getting a warning saying unable to get the metadata . But if run the application i am getting error while trying to connect to webservice.

I think the way i am setting up the credentials for the service is not correct . In Soap UI i am setting it as shown in screen shot . How to set it in Studio ? I tried the security tab in studio ,but no luck.
I'll assume that you are using the Web Service Consumer connector to consume an external SOAP web service. The screenshot shows that SOAP UI is using HTTP Basic Authentication. To reproduce that you need to configure the Web Service Consumer to point to an HTTP requester configuration that configures the HTTP authentication, as it mentioned in the official documentation:https://docs.mulesoft.com/web-service-consumer-connector/1.5/web-service-consumer-configure#setting-a-custom-http-transport-configuration

We are trying to deploy an EAR on WebSphere Liberty.
Our application contains an EJB-module, which contains and EJB that makes a call to another SOAP server.
The WSDL of the service defines a wsp:Policy with ExactlyOne of http:BasicAuthentication xmlns:http="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/06/2004/policy/http"/
After deployment when we send a request to our application, which would trigger that SOAP-call we get an error: None of the policy alternatives can be satisfied.
I found some java-code on how to solve this

But I do not want to do this in the Java-code but I want to make it part of the server config.

You could use the JNDI feature to express the userid and password in server.xml, then have your java code pull it out of JNDI.

I'm building an Azure web app for a client that will be provisioned into many other directories for their customers. This app will call a web API in my client's directory, which will then call back to another web API in the customer's directory. Something like this:

We have been able to get the first call to work. This requires a corresponding App Registation for Web API 2 in AAD1. We figure that we could get the callback to work by following the same pattern, with a registration for Web API1 in AAD2. However, that might be a LOT of these 'proxy' registration in my client's AAD, so we're looking at alternatives.
We are exploring using Managed Service Identity, which we think will allow us to get tokens that are valid for resources in other tenants. If there's a better way, I'm certainly interested in knowing about it.

Web API2 is configured to have a Managed Service Identity.
I'm currently running this on my local machine, and I've installed Azure CLI and I'm logged in. I've tried 'az account get-access-token', and I get a valid token.
When Web API2 tries to get the token to be able to call Web API1, I get an exception:

What's interesting is that there's no application with ID '04b07795-8ddb-461a-bbee-02f9e1bf7b46' in either AAD1 or AAD2. Is this a known Azure app? I thought that it might be the Service Management API, but I'm not sure.
In any case, I'm not sure of the proper way to grant permission. I've tried building different content URLs like this into my browser, but none of them seem to have done the trick:

AzureServiceTokenProvider uses Azure CLI (among other options) for local development. For a scenario where a service calls an Azure Service, this works using the developer identity from Azure CLI, since Azure services allow access to both users and applications.
For a scenario where a service calls another custom service (like your scenario), you need to use a service principal for local development. For this, you have two options:
Login to Azure CLI using a service principal.
First, create a service principal for local development

Then login to Azure CLI using it.
az login --service-principal -u 25922285-eab9-4262-ba61-8083533a929b --password <<pwd>> --tenant 72f988bf-86f1-41af-91ab-2d7cd011db47 --allow-no-subscriptions
Use the --allow-no-subscriptions argument since this service principal may not have access to any subscription.
Now, AzureServiceTokenProvider will get a token using this service principal for local development.
Specify service principal details in an environment variable. AzureServiceTokenProvider will use the specified service principal for local development. Note: Ths is only for local development. AzureServiceTokenProvider will use MSI when deployed to App Service.
I've encountered a challenge regarding internet-facing deployment installation for CRM using a AD FS server. After the setup is complete, users are able to access the CRM server - but when trying to run custom pages the following error message is prompted:
"The authentication endpoint Kerberos was not found on the configured Secure Token Service!"
I've found several solutions on the internet for this issue:
First I found a KB article from Microsoft providing a possible
solution, this involves updating MEX endpoints by running a provided
PowerShell script.
(https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2828015/configuring-ad-fs-2.1-with-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011).
But this doesn't seem to be the issue.
Another solution could be to update the CRM rollup version (currently have version 14 installed, latest is version 18) - this is something that I want to avoid as it might lead to further issues.
Have anybody else encountered a similar issue, and in that case how did you solve it?
I have just spent last few days to figure this exact same error message and it turned out that it was the "Domain" attribute in crm connection string. Copied my answer to my own question at the Microsoft Dynamics CRM community forum here:
"Well, I found the culprit - it was the Domain attribute in the connection string:
For connecting from outside the domain, it does not like to have a Domain in the connection string:
Connection string format 1 (without Domain attribute): "Authentication Type=Passport;Server=https://devcrm.myco.com;Username=devuser#myco.com;Password=pwd" - this works both inside and outside the domain "myco.com"
Connection string format 2 (with Domain attribute): "Authentication Type=Passport;Server=https://devcrm.myco.com;Domain=myco;Username=devuser#myco.com;Password=pwd" - this only works inside the domain myco.com but NOT outside (exception: The authentication endpoint Kerberos was not found on the configured Secure Token Service!)
The key is in the Xrm.Client.CrmConnection.ClientCredential:
If Domain is NOT specified in the connection string, when connecting from outside domain, Xrm.Client.CrmConnection.ClientCredentials.UserName is populated whereas the ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredentials.UserName is empty.
But if the Domain is specified, Xrm.Client.CrmConnection.ClientCredentials.UserName becomes null and Xrm.Client.CrmConnection.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredentials.UserName populated, which led to the service trying to authenticate user as a Windows AD user so of course it would fail when running app from outside Windows domain. And it explains why the same app works inside the domain even with Domain specified in the connection string.

On II7 we host a WCF/asp.net based API. In order to allow users of a classic asp application to connect to the API we had to publish a version we refer to as "transport". This Transport version is written in asp.net too, it points to the same assembly , its just the security layer is different to allow classic asp to authenticate. Transport level security is used as opposed to message based security.
When using a browser to load the service reference i can loading the svcutil.exe ... WDSL page.
When using my test asp page to call a web method from this reference i get the following returned:
Finished calling Web Service.
Status = Internal Server Error
ResponseText = a:InvalidSecurityAn error occurred when verifying security for the message.
This suggests that the authentication is failing. When testing using asp.net or the application WCF storm to contact the normal API everything works well.
The API was recently migrated , it would appear something has not been setup correctly but i am at a loss to explain what.
I can browse to the svcutil.exe ... WDSL service reference, when selecting it via the browser i get the expect XML response.
The USER NAME and password utilised work when using the non-classic asp publicaiton of the API using the message based secuirty.
Would it be possible to post some troubleshooting tip that may help diagnoise the issue please specifically regarding transport level security fault finding and setup ?

Attempted to use the Default App Pool and a new App Pool but same problem persists.
My test page error: ResponseText = a:InvalidSecurityAn error occurred when verifying security for the message.
IIS LOG shows:
v3/transport/testclassicasptransportwcfservice.asp ( 200 0 0 ) (i.e iis 200)
/V3/Transport/DeviceService.svc/DeviceService (500 0 0) (i.e iis error 500)
note: virtual dir defined on TRANSPORT and V3. V3 works ok using .net as opposed to classic asp to authenticate.
EVENT LOG:
The Template Persistent Cache initialization failed for Application Pool 'transport' because of the following error: Could not create a Disk Cache Sub-directory for the Application Pool. The data may have additional error codes.
This reference appears to suggest a fix but many of the DIR paths and references in "appcmd" dont exist.

Sorry another update. The network service permission change DID NOT resolve the issue , changeing to the DEFAULT APP POOL solved the problem.
Got a lead at last. Examined:

IIS logs (simply shows the non-specific error 500.)
Fault tracing enabled( also shows error 500).
Custom errors were off
Friendly IE messages were off
Asp client side and server side debugging on
ProcessMon running , no errors.

ServiceSecurityAudit found me an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" so sounds like our app has a bug.

Was the key for us to resolve this issue. Uncovered the Object Reference Error which indicated out Business Objects and Data Access dlls were out of alignment. Using CLASSIC ASP to contact the WCF.NET API using TRANSPORT AUTHENTICATION there was abolutely no indication of this error until Service Security Audit was enavled on the behaviour.config file in the WCF deployment.
