I just finished downloading and installing the trial version of the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 but for some reason, whenever I try to run it, I get a BSOD or Blue Screen of Death. I'm pretty sure I meet and exceed the requirements for Windows as defined HERE.
I would so much want to try it to see if it's worth buying but as I said, it keeps giving me the BSOD. Has anyone ever encountered this before? Is there a "fix" to this problem? What should I do?
Additional Note:
I'm using Windows XP Service Pack 2.
It certainly looks like it went corrupt on the install. Try uninstalling the trial and then run the CS Clean tool to get the registry entries and other junk removed too:

I've been using Atom for years on my Mac. I know it has been end-of-lifed by its dev team. I haven't installed anything new on it like plugins for many months. After the latest MacOS update, I get this popup when trying to open it:
Does anyone know if there is a way to tell if my copy has somehow become corrupted, or if this is a false positive?
Many thanks!
OK I found out that github revoked the Apple code signing certificate and is now enforcing that. I found the answer on the Atom blog. So, I was able to download an older version and it works well.
thanks for the info, i think it's the best time to find alternatives on text editors since Atom has been officially sunset (Sublime text?)
If you want the current installation to continue working:
$ xattr -cr /Applications/Atom.app
I'm not sure what the security risks of this are.
You might consider the Pulsar fork of the Atom project: https://pulsar-edit.dev/
I can't fully vouch for it because I'm just starting to use it, but it looks and feels the same to me.
I have tried all the solutions which found on stack overflow, but still not able to resolve it. Somehow its not open the simulator and gives me error "unable to boot simulator".
I have reinstall 2 times xcode and also remove all simulator and add again. also change "DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES" to ZZ but no solution.
Please help me, Thanks in Advance!
Try to turn off System Integrity Protection http://www.imore.com/el-capitan-system-integrity-protection-helps-keep-malware-away - it helped me.
Problems:
As I also faced the same problem as below..
--"Unable to boot simulator"
--Storyboard designs/views completely invisible and showing only blue lines.
--CoreTelephony Trace File Error ... failed to create \tmp
Solutions
Don't do any SIP (Disable/Enable)settings its just temp solutions & it may harms to other applications in the mac as well as may affecting on secure data in the mac.
Best way to do upgrade your iMac to macOS "Sierra". It will solve all your problems.
Finally I am able to work on my project by solving above strange problems.
Happy coding.. happy Development...!!!
Assuming the error message was actually "Unable to boot the Simulator.", this error indicates an error starting up launchd_sim when booting the simulated device. In and of itself, it does not indicate the actual cause. You can look in ~/Library/Logs/CoreSimulator/CoreSimulator.log for more information about the error (including the error reason).
Possible causes:
On OSX 10.9 and earlier, DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES could be set by 3rd party applications. On later versions, invalid DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES are ignored instead of resulting in an error.
Usage of older simulator runtime DLC with Xcode 7 betas. Newer versions of Xcode ignore these older DLC.
If you need additional help, please provide that additional datum.

I am trying to use Gamemaker Studio 1.4 on my Lenovo but every time I open it I get:
I/O Error 32
This used to just happen when I tried to close the program but now I can't even open a project or do anything because I get multiple error notifications filling my screen. I have tried the following but none work:
Rebooting my device
Deleting and downloading Gamemaker
Closing all my programs and files and then trying to open
Is there a bug?
If not how can I fix this?
I can't update gamemaker either as it can't close
Best place to ask is the yoyo games forums

Here is your issue, seems to have multiple fixes that may or may not work, seems to vary.
I DID IT!!!!!
THANKS #Daedric!
Okay, so I saw something that said use task manager. So when it was updating I closed down the studio using task manager, and then when it relaunched its fine!
I am trying to install SimpLESS on my Windows 7 64bit PC. However, as soon as I tried to run the installer, it popup an error message saying: "Could not query info: Invalid HTTP Status Code (403)". I tried with Google, but didn't found any solution for that.
Do you ever experience this problem before? Any idea what causes that problem? How can I solve it? If worst case I can't get run on my PC, is there any other way to do LESS CSS on my PC?
Thank you.
I was also facing same problem.
what i have done is, quit some background running application like torrent etc.
Now its working perfectly.

I'm really confused about this problem, and I'm pretty new to Flex. Basically, anything I try to build with mxmlc fails to run now, giving me the above three errors depending on what I do. It was working 30 minutes ago, I've been spending that time trying to figure out what has changed. I redownloaded the Flex SDK, cleared my assetcache, have cleared Firefox's cache. (I'm using Linux.) Even if I compile with -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries=false, since it seems like #2048 is a RSL problem, it still refuses to run.
Another strange thing, if I keep
<policy-file-url>http://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/swz/crossdomain.xml</policy-file-url>
<rsl-url>textLayout_1.0.0.595.swz</rsl-url>
in my flex-config file, then firebug tells me that my swf file is trying to access a copy of that in the app's folder, giving error 2032. And if I stick the one I have in frameworks/rsls/ then it gives me error 2046. I don't know how it could not be properly signed, unless Adobe magically changed a signature and didn't update their flex SDK.
Any help will be appreciated.
On Linux I sometimes get these errors. It seems that the Flash Player cache sometimes get corrupt. When I delete the asset cache I then have to reboot in order for things to work again. Not fun. I filed a bug a while back but without having a consistent way to recreate the corruption I can't help them reproduce the issue. Please file a bug if you have a consistent way to reproduce the issue.
Okay, more weirdness. Simply restarting Firefox seems to have allowed the applications to work again. Facepalm
Today I experienced that problem in one browser but not in other. I have Ubuntu 10.04 and in google chrome 6 I received error #2046. In FireFox and Opera everything worked well. The problem has been solved when I reloaded my chrome browser.
This is an off the cuff answer, maybe not correct, but I encountered a similar issue recently and discovered that the issue was that our app was not compiling the Flex libraries into the SWF. Because of this, in some cases the Flash player would for whatever reason decide that the cached Flex libraries (.swz files, aka Runtime Shared Libraries or RSLs) were incorrect versions and so would refuse to load them, giving similar errors without explanation. These cached libraries are separate from the browser cache, they are cached for the whole OS. You could try explicitly linking the Flex libraries into your SWF to troubleshoot the problem. If it goes away, that's a useful clue.
