Change position of an added form field in Symfony - symfony-1.4

I have created the form in Symfony 1.4/Doctrine) that is generated from the schema i can manipulate the field labels, the validation, modifying the widgets to get data from the db and can generate a new filed that is not in the schema.
The problem is the form is generated by $form variable and the the new field i create is at the bottom of this set of fields. How do i insert it somewhere in the schema generated fields.
Note . All i want to do is have Password and Confirm Password. Password is onviously in the schema but Confirm Password is not.

sfForm::useFields() is a new function to symfony 1.3 that allows the developer to specify exactly which fields the form should use and in which order they should be displayed. All other non-hidden fields are removed from the form.

You can make any change by rendering each field separately in your template or view. For example, if you have user, password and confirm_password fields you can do:
//template or view
<?php echo $form['user']->renderRow()?><br/>
<?php echo $form['password']->renderRow()?><br/>
<?php echo $form['confirm_password']->renderRow()?>
if you want to do more complex things see Jobeet Form Example

You can use setPositions from the WidgetSchema to set positions of all your fields:
<?php
$this->getWidgetSchema()->setPositions(array(
0 => 'field_one',
1 => 'field_two',
// etc...
));
Or you can "move" a field across the form with moveField:
<?php
// Moving to top
$this->getWidgetSchema()->moveField('field_one', sfWidgetFormSchema::FIRST);
// Moving before 'field_two'
$this->getWidgetSchema()->moveField('field_three', sfWidgetFormSchema::BEFORE, 'field_two');
// * Available actions are:
// *
// * sfWidgetFormSchema::BEFORE
// * sfWidgetFormSchema::AFTER
// * sfWidgetFormSchema::LAST
// * sfWidgetFormSchema::FIRST

How can I add a paragraph (as default) in the node form by using hook_form_alter in Drupal 8?

I am trying to add a bunch of different empty paragraphs of different types, to a entity reference revisions field, everytime a node of a certain content type is created.
I DON'T want to use the contrib module "default paragraphs" for this, because I need to use a certain form widget here, and default paragraphs is also achieved by a widget.
What I tried so far:
function myModule_form_alter(&$form, \Drupal\Core\Form\FormStateInterface $form_state, $form_id){
$paragraph = \Drupal\paragraphs\Entity\Paragraph::create([
'type' => 'tab_features'
]);
$paragraph->save();
$form['field_tabs']['widget'][0]['target_id']=$paragraph->id();
$form['field_tabs']['widget'][0]['target_revision_id']=$paragraph->getRevisionId();
return $form;
}
$field_tabs is my entity reference revisions field.
'tab_features' is the paragraphs type I want to add.
I guess there should be a method that can be used in the form or form widget to add a paragraph to the form, like someone already clicked the button to add it. I want to avoid to actually trigger this via Javascript if possible. Anybody knows how to do this in form_alter?
In a project I'm working on, we have done something like this:
//get the body field
$field = $entity->get('field_em_p_body');
$paragraph = Paragraph::create([
'type' => 'em_section', // Paragraph type.
]);
$paragraph->isNew();
$paragraph->set('YOUR_FIELD', 'SOMETHING');
$field->appendItem($paragraph);

WooCommerce Bookings: Triggering AJAX Recalculation of Booking Cost on Product Page

I've added a couple new fields to the date-picker.php template in WooCommerce Bookings and need to trigger the AJAX recalculation of the booking cost on the product page when these fields are updated.
Currently this recalculation is triggered when the standard fields in date-picker.php are updated. However, I will be using the additional fields to recalculate the duration and booking cost so I need this AJAX recalculation triggered when updates are made to the new fields as well.
How can I trigger the AJAX recalculation? I have tried simply triggering a change event on one of the standard fields, but that doesn't seem to work.
I had the same issue. If it helps someone in the future, heres my work around :
Go to
/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-bookings/templates/single-product/add-to-cart/booking.php
This is the template for the single product booking form.
You can then move one of the actions such as <?php do_action( 'woocommerce_before_add_to_cart_button' ); ?> (or create your own action) within the <div id="wc-bookings-booking-form"/>.
Now add a custom field or code to this action (I used wc-fields-factory). When you change a field value within the booking form the AJAX recalculation is triggered.
You can hook into this trigger in your functions.php file (within your theme) to alter the cost based on the custom fields you have added like so :
add_filter( 'booking_form_calculated_booking_cost', 'my_booking_cost', 10, 3 );
function my_booking_cost( $booking_cost, $booking, $posted ) {
/* use fields here to show a new booking cost*/
$my_time = $posted[ <name of custom field> ]; //access field within booking form
$booking_cost = 1; //whatever your calc is
return $booking_cost;
}

Get the value of the selected field in Drupal Form API

I have a custom content type called events which has a few fields defined in it.
The field name is field_store_name. I can get all the options from these check boxes using this code:
$form['field_store']['und']['#options']
This is how I get the option(s) that are selected/checked. Is this the correct way of doing this?
$form_state['build_info']['args']['0']->field_store['und']
Thanks
When user submits form your custom submitter could be called.
To add custom form submitter to any form you should use:
/* Implements hook_form_alter(). */
function moduleName_form_alter($form, $form_state) {
// ...
$form['#submit'][] = 'moduleName_submitterName';
// ...
}
So in custom submitter you will have all submitted values under $form_state['values']:
function moduleName_submitterName($form, $form_state) {
dpm($form_state['values']);
}
This index will apper in $form_state array only when you submit form and will contain submitted values. $form array will still contain default values shown at form before you've changed them and submitted form.
Read more:
An example of form submitter: https://www.drupal.org/node/717740.
hook_form_alter(): https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/modules%21system%21system.api.php/function/hook_form_alter/7
Value you need should be $form_state['values']['field_store]['und'][0].

Drupal 7: calling custom content type field into page tpl

I'm working on a Drupal 7 website. I need custom layout for some pages. so I created page--customContentTypeName.tpl.php file and it addresses perfectly.
The problem is, I need to display some fields in page tpl. The code below works fine in node tpl, but page tpl :/
<?php print $content['field_images']['#items']['0']['filename']; ?>" />
How can I call custom fields into page tpl?
Appreciate helps!! thanks a lot!!

with custom field editing... here is the tutorial video: http://lin-clark.com/blog/intro-drupal-7-theming-fields-and-nodes-templates#comment-54
For page.tpl.php
if you access the node directly you can use $node variable
$node['field_images']['und'][0]['filename']
else use $page variable.
$page['content']['system_main']['nodes'][1]['field_images']['#items'][0]['filename'];
but remember in a page variable you might have more than one node.
The structure changed in 7, the field is keyed by language first ("und" by default which means "undefined"), then you can follow this example:
// Array of Image values
$images = $node->field_images['und'];
//If you don't know the language, the value is stored in:
$node->language
// First image
$image = $images[0];
// If you need informations about the file itself (e.g. image resolution):
image_get_info( $image["filename"] );
// If you want to access the image, use the URI instead of the filename !
$public_filename = file_create_url( $image["uri"] );
// Either output the IMG tag directly,
$html = '<img src="'.$public_filename.'"/>';
// either use the built-in theme function.
$html = theme(
"image",
array(
"path" => $public_filename,
"title" => $image["title"]
)
);
Note the usage of the uri instead of the filename for embedding the image in a page because the File API in Drupal 7 is more abstracted (to make it easier to integrate with CDN services).
there are 2 useful modules in drupal for theme developers:
Devel and Theme_developer
Devel module provides a function called dsm() .
using dsm you can recognize that how elements are stored in different objects.
like nodes or ...
for example you can use this statement : dsm($node)
the structure of any nodes in the page will show up in the message box.
you can type the statements in your codes.

Drupal Views exposed filter of Author name as a drop down

This is a follow up question to Drupal Views exposed filter of Author name. The following question was answered and works. I can filter a view by user name. The user name is entered is entered by typing in a box and the box then auto completes. Rather then doing this I would like the list of users as a drop down. I only need one user to be selected. Do you know if this is possible?
You'll need a custom module for that.
I've done this for Drupal 7 this way: create a module, say, views_more_filters, so you have a views_more_filters.info file like this:
name = Views More Filters
description = Additional filters for Views.
core = 7.x
files[] = views_more_filters_handler_filter_author_select.inc
files[] = views_more_filters.views.inc
(file views_more_filters_handler_filter_author_select.inc will contain our filter handler).
A basic views_more_filters.module file:
<?php
/**
* Implements of hook_views_api().
*/
function views_more_filters_views_api() {
return array('api' => 3);
}
Then define your filter in views_more_filters.views.inc:
<?php
/**
* Implements of hook_views_data().
*/
function views_more_filters_views_data() {
return array(
'node' => array(
'author_select' => array(
'group' => t('Content'),
'title' => t('Author UID (select list)'),
'help' => t('Filter by author, choosing from dropdown list.'),
'filter' => array('handler' => 'views_more_filters_handler_filter_author_select'),
'real field' => 'uid',
)
)
);
}
Note that we set author_select as a machine name of the filter, defined filter handler ('handler' => 'views_more_filters_handler_filter_author_select') and a field we will filter by ('real field' => 'uid').
Now we need to implement our filter handler. As our filter functions just like default views_handler_filter_in_operator, we simply extend its class in views_more_filters_handler_filter_author_select.inc file:
<?php
/**
* My custom filter handler
*/
class views_more_filters_handler_filter_author_select extends views_handler_filter_in_operator {
/**
* Override parent get_value_options() function.
*
* #return
* Return the stored values in $this->value_options if someone expects it.
*/
function get_value_options() {
$users_list = entity_load('user');
foreach ($users_list as $user) {
$users[$user->uid] = $user->name;
}
// We don't need Guest user here, so remove it.
unset($users[0]);
// Sort by username.
natsort($users);
$this->value_options = $users;
return $users;
}
}
We haven't had to do much here: just populate options array with a list of our users, the rest is handled by parent class.

Tutorial: Creating Custom Filters in Views
Yes, this is possible. Its not particularly tough to do this... but its slightly tedious. You need to create two views
The first view is a list of users on your system (a View of type Users). This user list is displayed as a dropdown instead of a list (using jump menu view style). Clicking on any user within this dropdown will call the second view with the uid (user id) of the selected user as the argument in the URL. This view is a block.
The second view is a simple Node listing. It is a page view at a particular URL. It takes 1 argument which is the uid (user id) of the user.
Detailed Steps
Download the Ctools module
http://drupal.org/project/ctools
Enable the Chaos Tools Module. This
module provides a Views Style Plugin
called "Jump Menu"
Create a new view of type Users and NOT type Node which you usually
create. In the fields add User:
Name and User: uid. For the
settings of User: uid, make sure
you click on Rewrite the output of
the field. The rewritten output of
the field should be
my_node_list/[uid]. Make sure you
select the exclude from display checkbox.
In the settings for Style in the view, select the Jump Menu style. Click on the settings for the style. Make sure the Path dropdown has User: uid choosen
Add a block display to the view. Name the block User Drop Down
Save the view
Add the block User Drop Down to any region in your theme e.g. Content Top (usually the best) or left sidebar. Make sure the block is only visible at the urls my_node_list/* and my_node_list by setting the block visibility settings
Now create another view of type Node. Add an argument field User: uid. Add the fields you are interested in e.g. Node: title, User: Name etc.
Add a page display. Let the page be at the url my_node_list
Save the view. Test the dropdown with its list of users on the system at http://yoursitename/my_node_list

Check this one
I think you just have to choose "Taxonomy:term The taxonomy term ID" instead of "name".
