Using Facebook Connect for User Data in Drupal - drupal

I have a Drupal site where I want to allow users to add their current Facebook Events that they themselves have created into a custom database. I'm not looking to use Facebook Connect as a User Management system, just trying to get someone's info after they accept.
More specifically I'm looking for a way to access a user's Facebook events info from a Drupal Page using PHP. I want them to be able to hit a button and give me access to their events.

Did you take a look at http://drupal.org/project/fb and http://www.drupalforfacebook.org/ ?
The FB module works pretty well, is mostly sane to use, and the author is responsive to bug reports.

Wordpress plugin for multi-user, multi-profile website

I want to create a upwork.com like website in Wordpress called geeksboston.com and I do NOT know what type of plugin/extension I should use. Basically my idea for the site is something like this:
I as administrator need to have full control over users/geeks accounts (enable, disable, delete, etc)
Everything should be free of charge for both "geek" and "user".
Automatic registration process with email validation and captcha.
If you are a "geek" you can create your profile entering your experience, resumes, certificates, etc.
Regular users are not required to register, but can navigate through out the website, look for/contact geeks, etc. But to contract/rate a geek, this user must be registered.
I am new in Wordpress but heard that it can do great stuff. So any clue?
I would like to suggest Ukuu people plugin and WP-CRM. The above two core plugin is for free and It also offers paid add-ons to integrate some features. Please refer the below link. Click here for more details.

How to create an audio streaming site in the style of Lynda or other video-training sites?

I would like to make a streaming store like Lynda.com, Udemy.com, or other video-training websites - where the customer can buy and/or subscribe to my digital library, but the customer can only stream the content, no downloading. Is this something I should do in WordPress, Shopify, or something else? A key aspect would be the customer being able to go back-and-forth between buying an individual stream and a monthly subscription without losing their purchased streams.
The content will be self-created audio files. As far as the audio-player, I was thinking about using SoundCloud.com and privatizing the audio on SoundCloud.com. Then embed the audio onto the site to prevent pirating and rely on a third-party site to host the audio content rather than burdening the hosting provider. Or is there a better solution?
Thanks for any feedback!
You CAN use Wordpress, but there will need to be more involved then just setting up a basic website. You'll need to provide the user with a unique URL to stream the content from.
Other than building a custom platform, you can use something like http://buddypress.org/ to create user profiles. And only allow paid users to access certain content.
Shopify will only help with taking orders. Not giving users account access to login.
You could use shopify, then build out a user login side using something like Heroku. We had a similar goal to build a marketplace for live music bookings - basically the difference here being that the artists were the users, not the customers. We used Collections as profiles and Products as bookable packages. We simply embedded youtube vids and made sure to turn off recommendations in the youtube embed code. We currently make this information public, but it could be behind a login (the basic login/account that shopify provide) in your instance. It would be a little bit manual: e.g. they 'purchase' the subscription, then they create a login at checkout, whereby they're then able to access the videos/audio.
Have a play with our marketplace as an example of what I mean: tremolo.com.au

How can I create an embedded Google Calendar widget that is logged in as a specified user?

I want to use Google Calendar's embed capabilities on a site but I want it to be viewed as if logged in by a specific user (we are using Google Apps for Business). I already know that a proxy service of some sort will have to be created but I'm not sure as to the steps that would be involved. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Assuming your users are already logged into Google (whether a normal Google account or a Google Apps account), you should just be able to use the Google-provided widget.
For a single calendar, you can use Google's tutorial here. To get a normal view of every calendar that the user has access to (eg. the same things that the person sees at calendar.google.com) you should use the embed generator here. This is an iGoogle widget, but Google allows you to style it and embed it on any site. The widget will automatically know who the user is, assuming they are logged in to Google.

Drupal Facebook connect functionality

I have tried to implement Drupal connect with facebook functionality via fbconnect module. I have installed and set up the plugin. When I click on the facebook button the new popup window is opened and it requires my facebook credentials. After I enter those, instead of just simply logging in to my site, drupal asks of me to create a new account for drupal.
Is there any way to just connect with my facebook account without creating a new one on the drupal site.

RPX works the same way.
I believe you would have to modify the code to grab the returned data from Facebook and simulate a user creation with user_save, then automatically log them in, bypassing the Drupal login. Drupal needs a way of tracking that user on the site which is why that occurs.
I don't think the modules are quite there yet, though. Thanks for pointing that out, because I will have to come up with something like this.

FacebookConnect integration with ASP.NET

I'm working on a site with a Facebook Connect integration on blog posts. I want a Facebook .NET SDK that will allow me to:
Authenticate that a user is logged into FB. The actual login will be done via the typical FBML login button and simple JS with the XD Receiver.
Be able to push data from my WebForm to the user's FB profile, such as a status update.
I do not need to:
Create an actual FB application that goes on your profile, like "Cheer for the Red Sox" app or whatever. I do completely understand that I need to create an app using the Developer application but I'm not indenting to create a real full app.
Do any special stuff other than know the user's basics and push data to the profile.
Now are there any good starting points or SDKs I should look at. I've tried Facebook.NET and also peeked into FBConnectAuth. It seems like the former is too much and the latter is too little of what I need. However, that was a quick glance so are there any people with good experiences that did simple things?
Help is much appreciated!
Have you tried this example?
Post status to Facebook profile without Facebook modal window using ASP.NET
If you have any feature requests for FBConnectAuth, please let me know.
Adam
For me, Raya's integration of Facebook Connect is the best example out there. The author also has a good blog post where he describes how he integrated it with his existing web application..
