I'm relatively new to wordpress.
I mainly use wp for very simple websites, where i just want a simple theme other than the default, and there is no need to pay for a premium theme.
Unfortunately, the words "free" and "word press theme" on google attract a host of malicious websites.
Unfortunately, the majority of free wp theme websites (that i found) have themes that contain hidden links, malware, advertising, or are stolen from other websites.
Please provide any websites that offer free wp themes that are clean, malware free and advertising free.
Smashing Magazine often do great themes for free - have a look at:
http://www.smashingmagazine.com/tag/wordpress/
They often do 'round up' posts of great free themes too.
The answer is wordpress itself

nopCommerce is the popular open-source eCommerce solution. It provides fully customizable, stable & highly usable shopping cart. And it is totally free.
You can also download it's source code from here.
You can see the demo from here.
There is an ebook available for beginners here.
Lots of video tutorials are available on the internet, just google it. And almost all major web hosting providers also supports it.
Finally conclusion: It is good & perhaps the best free eCommerce solution available in the market. Go for it.

I have to add a new blog to Rails 4.0 application. There is a good bit of insistence to add Wordpress as the blog. But I DON'T want to use subdomain, I want to make it www.mydomain.com/blog I read a lot of hassle which is involved in making that with wordpress.
Currently I am running my server on Heroku and soon might migrate to AWS.
I read about heroku-wordpress with the reverse proxy to link /blog on server to Rails App but can this be extended to AWS setup ?
All other blog engines https://www.ruby-toolbox.com/categories/Blog_Engines do not say they work on Rails 4.
If we use one of the blog engine with Rails which is the one best suited for ease of maintaining blogs for a non tech team ?
I thought of Wordpress and Octopress as the top contenders.
I think Octopress is a better option if you want to have full control of domain name (And more control in general), Wordpress needs less configuration though, both should work with rails 4

I've been using CloudFront for a while now but it seems lately my CDN files aren't always loading. I have a number of customers experiencing issues and the only fix is to restart their computer. Annoying for them and me.
Can anyone recommend a better CDN provider that's not too expensive? I'm still small so paying $99 a month is way too expensive for me at this stage.
I've had a look at some reviews on the net but they aren't that helpful. Some are a bit biased and are almost like paid reviews.
Two things I really need is:
Ability to serve the files a HTTPS
Ability to refresh the files quickly if I make a change (I used Query Strings to do this on CloudFront)
Appreciate your help
You can checkout CDNPlanet. You will find there a list of some of the most known CDN on the market.

I want to enable multilingual support in my wordpress.com blog? Is there any plugin or option for that? I just want user to be able to have automatic translation of my posts.
I suggest you to use Transposh WordPress Translation Plugin. It offers you the possibility to translate automaticly your blog into other languages, but with the option to translate some parts of the blog by yourself if you need to.
I used it on a project, and I'm pretty sure it would fit your needs.
I think wordpress.com doesn't have such an option for now

Please suggest me some better ecommerce plugins for WordPress sites?
Thanks
Take a look at WP-ecommerce if you're looking for a shopping cart. And Your Member ( www.newmedias.co.uk/wordpress-membership) is ok if you're trying to do content subscription (ie pay x for access to content in the blog)
I can heartily recommend Shopp from Ingenesis Limited if you want a customisable solution. I have used it for 6 sites now, some very customised, and - although I've hit problems as you would with any development work - nothing has been insurmountable. This is mainly because the Shopp page template and Plugin API are so versatile. Support is good, although you have to get your hands dirty and try and work along with the developers to get things working i.e. they usually won't just write a custom Payment gateway or shipping plugin for you!
One drawback is that I can't link you to any of the API docs because they operate a 'buy, try, no quibble money back thing instead' of a trial, and only allow registered users to see all the docs. There is a Feature List here though.
wp e-commerce - free version available, has addons and themes
shopp - paid
