I am trying to find a good network monitoring system, easy to configure and to still have a lot of features. I want to try Nagio but it seems to be very complicated. I saw that are also a lot of systems direved from it (or work with it), like groundwork or Shinken.
Do you know or recommend a good solution for this?
I use GroundWork Community version. It runs Nagios inside already. Very hand one try it out.
you can use zenoss , monitoring system , groundwork community or enterprise
opsview etc
I would recommend New Relic. It is super easy to use.

So I am doing a small project with my friends, and we are making like artlist.io website (ish) it needs to accept payments from users, paying members to have an unlimited download of our audio files, but non paying members should be able to listen to the beats/sound effects, just not have access to the download.
does anyone know how you would do this, and what plugin you recommend (does not need to be free)
I have looked over MemberPress and few others but no one from the support is willing to answer, and I don't want to pay for something that might not work.
hopeful to get some answers!
If I understand your question correctly, any membership plugin will be able to meet the requirements that you have. I've recently done some similar projects using MemberPress, and it's good. PPM is also a good choice. You might require some coding for doing exactly what you want. Otherwise, any membership plugin will do.

I'm looking for an open-source framework for classified ads. It needs to be .NET-based, but I can pay.
Advanced features not really required - just need to be able to post ads for registered users in a private environment.
In terms of price, anything up to $1,000 is fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
MixNP is written in ASP.net C# and is a new addition to codeplex. It is free and open source GPLv3.
Looks good.

Microsoft have a starter kit for classifieds:

I'd think DotNetNuke would work for you, although it might be a bit of overkill for your intended use case.

I have searched through the net for the open source project of Document management system for asp.net, all I got was CMS.
Is their any Document Management System open source for asp.net?
I do understand that Sharepoint can do this task for me, but I am looking for a asp.net solution.
Have a look at sensenet http://sensenet.codeplex.com/
I am trying it at the moment as I am also looking for a .net/asp.net solution. It seems very promising. So far it seems like something I might be able to use. The only issue is the GPL license but am seeing what the deal with that will be. I.e. is you wanted to use it in collaboration with other software.

In some crucial projects I relelized that time is one of the biggest concern while developing a project, specially a web application.
Specifically about ASP.NET, does any Open Source tools exists for generating code for helping developers [like codesmith] to work smarter rather than work harder?
I think T4 templates is what you need.
Check this out: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb126445.aspx
I'm not sure if your problem is that you want a code generator or something to help you generate automated tests to be run in different browsers. Since codesmith does .NET I'll assume you wanted automated tests for various browsers.

I can't see a reason why we couldn't do the same thing Heroku does for an ASP.NET website.
Anyone care to object?
We're trying to be just that. Go to appharbor.com and sign up for an invite and we'll be in touch soon

Take a look at www.gearhost.com. It's very similar to Heroku in terms of it's offering but for .NET and PHP developers. You get 100 free sites and 100 free databases, just like Heroku.
