I am working on a project which has events calendar. I am using date and calendar module for that.
On calendar month page, we can display titles of events on that day. That is simple. But suppose there are 10 events on one day, then that day column becomes too long. So, instead of displaying titles, I want to display no. of events on that day and place a link on it which will go to the day view.
Using custom php code module for views, i created one field where I am entering this code
<?php
$view = views_get_current_view();
$view->set_display(day_view);
print count($view->result).' events';
?>
"day_view" is the id of the view which display events on that particular day.
If I am not using $view->set_display(day_view); it willk display no. of events for that month. But I want to disply no. of events for that day only.
My logic is since day view displays events from that day only, it will return correct number, if I call its display for month view. But it's not doing so.
Also how to generate link for day view?
Please help!

I am trying to find out how to disable the date click within a cell while in the month view. I cannot find it in the documentation on the site. I only see dayRender and disabling the entire cell. I just need the date itself not the cell. I needed selectable to be true for the calendar just not this piece.
Is there a event/render that I can get to in full calendar to stop this from going to the day view? Thanks for any help that is provided.
I've created a page where all the booked appointments showing in a table with four buttons for each one, show on calendar, edit, delete and not_accepted .
The edit, delete and not_accepted buttons i can handle them very easily, but i don't know how to show the clicked event on the calendar which exist under the table, lets imagine that i clicked show on calendar on one of the booked appointments the page will be scrolled down a little bit and the calendar should took me to the event, so its similar to a slider but i don't have to click next to see where is the event exist by date for example .
I am feeling that jsEvent coordinates would help some how !!, but really don't know how to do it .
Please any help .
I need to store the 'on' days (in this case, the 'available' days) in the database and show the 'available' days on a monthly or weekly view.
I need to allow a user to toggle days on a the calendar on and off. I've been looking a fullcalendar and some bootstrap options such as http://bootstrap-calendar.azurewebsites.net/.
With Fullcalendar, is there a way to toggle a day on and off in a weekly or monthly view? and generate the corresponding AJAX call?
Sure, you can use background events to show that a day is available or not available. And dayClick to toggle it back and forth. Since background events are events, they should store and fetch from the DB.
Keep in mind, that all this needs to be coded though. It doesn't automatically code a day toggle. But these things aren't too difficult or long to code and FC is built to facilitate this kind of thing.
I'm populating a number of calendars in Google Calendar via dynamically generated iCalendar feeds. These calendars are being correctly imported into Google Calendar, but their events appear intermixed as shown below:
Is there a way I can modify the iCal feed to encourage Google to render a single calendar in a single vertical column? It gets confusing when viewing our 12-13 calendars!
I don't believe that there is a way to change this. The layout is based on the starting time of events, and does not care from where the event was imported.
Although not entirely as per your question, you could change something inconsequential like the seconds of the start date of the event. For example, all items in your first feed start with the seconds set to :01, all items in your second feed start with the seconds set to :02 etc. This will not help you when you have an item in the second feed but nothing in the first feed, but should ensure that when you have two items with the same nominal start time the items are ordered correctly in the calendar.
I want to be able to view 3 large months at a time using FullCalendar by Adam Shaw in my WP site. Possible? In other words, current month, plus two more. A 90 day events Calendar starting with the if the current date falls in a given month. Example, today is July 26, so display July, Aug, Sept.
Any ideas? I am calling it for use in a WP Events manager application.
Thanks,
Create three FullCalendar instances next to each other:
Set the defaultView for all three to 'month'.
Disable the previous and next buttons for two of the three calendar instances by manipulating their headers.
Disable any other views (like agendaDay, agendaWeek, etc.) in all calendar headers.
Whenever the viewDisplay callback is called on the calendar with the previous and next buttons, update the other calendar's date using gotoDate.
If you also need to use a week and/or day view, you may wish to set them up in a similar way, although I can imagine that would be confusing. You could also hide (using CSS) two of the three calendars when the user navigates to day or week view, and make them reappear when the user selects month view again. You probably need some CSS hocus pocus anyway to make it all look slick, but I think it should be doable.
