So I'm trying to embed the google analytics login page onto a page. Works fine on IE and Firefox. The website is hosted on a local machine.
Code:
<iframe src="https://www.google.com/analytics/settings/?et=reset&hl=en" height="1000px" width="100%">Your browser does not support iframes.</iframe>
Is this a bug in chrome safari or can I adapt my xhtml to fix this?
Edit :In the end I used the Google Analytics API with this PHP library http://code.google.com/p/gapi-google-analytics-php-interface/
and google chart api.
Google is setting response headers to explicitly block the loading of these pages into an iframe. The headers are respected by newer browsers, but not implemented in older ones. I suspect you're using a version of IE below 8 if this is working for you.

I have my application running in iframe https://iframe-domain.com embedded in the main site https://parent-domain.com. With a bit of pain I was able to setup google analytics and GTM to make it work. For this I've used the configuration
cookie_flags: max-age=7200;secure;samesite=none
in Google tag manager. Then it worked in all browsers except Safari. I've noticed that safari ITP (Intelligent tracking prevention) is blocking GA (more precisely, it's blocking third-party cookies) because of the cross-origin iframe. This is reproducible in mobile safari, not sure about the desktop.
Is there any workaround? I don't want to miss all my safari users in analytics reports. GA version 4 is used.
When you add a video via Google Drive, the video doesn't play. When you click on play, nothing happens.
The error was detected only in the Safari browser (Mac OS and iOS), on different devices. The Safari console displays the following:
In Google Drive, the video has permission and is available to everyone who has a link. The video works in Google Chrome, Firefox.
I don't use the API from Google, I only have an iframe that google itself suggests using.
My iframe:
<iframe src="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tYPqwtbgNp17xXNR5mZH3SdeFTcUrTHt/preview" width="640" height="480" ></iframe>
Video testing takes place on a clean page, without scripts and styles
An embedded Google Drive video does play in Safari (just tested on iPhone with iOS 14.7) but only if you set 'Prevent Cross-Site Tracking' to OFF in Settings, Safari, Privacy & Security.
This is probably not an option for a public website!
I am using WordPress to build a site, but actually have a problem, the site don't update at all. For example, I update some data in a box, on pc can see the update, but in mobile don't.
Browser pc version
Mobile version
Update 1
Searching a little more, I could find that typing the name of the page in google, and checking a little more, I could find that there is a cache that leaves the page hosted in google, the strange thing is that I am using Firefox.
Update 2
I prove the page in 5 browsers in the desktop and work fine.
Firefox normal and developer edition
Chrome
Edge
Opera
Vivaldi
I do a search about the page on google, and see other problem. I was using a plugin for maintenance mode, and deactivate, and still appear the message as principal and not logo for the Google.
When working with Wordpress make sure use common browsers like Chrome and Opera. When your work isn't updating make sure you clear the cache of any caching plugin on the website and that of your browser(found in settings), if you are still in doubt then you can view the page on Incognito(Ctrl + Shift + I) for chrome on PC
I'm facing a problem just with google chrome. My website home page works properly, but when trying to open a post on the site, it shows this message:
Security Wrror
The site is based on the latest WordPress version, and it works properly with all other browsers. I tried to remove ads (the only way to get the required fund). but nothing changed. It still doesn't open on Google Chrome.
I tried to update the sitemap, but nothing changed.
I hope you can help. Most of the visitors use Google Chrome as a default browser, and this is a major problem because we earn money due to ads viewed on the site.
here a link to my website
I have an email with a link to a web page on my server. The pages link issues a Http Refresh header to redirect to a PDF in the cloud. This redirect works with every other browser and/or web mail client configuration.
When debugging, I discovered that if my link points to localhost, IE allows the redirect. But, If I use localhost.site.com IE9 does not allow it. (Again, only in Gmail)
Fiddler between the test does not show any discernible difference. For what it's worth, I'm using MVC3 and IIS 7.0. There are no javascript errors. If I disable javascript and click the link from Gmail's non-js client, the link redirects properly.
I only encounter this problem when redirecting to PDFs.
This looks like it could be an issue with the PDF plugin (I am assuming that you are using Adobe) that IE uses to render the PDF in the browser. You can try disabling the plugin and seeing if this problem still occurs.
To disable the plugin, Open Adobe and go to Edit --> Preferences --> Internet and uncheck the option "Display PDF in browser". Try it with the plugin disabled and see if you will be able to download the file.
I came across the same issue. I just thought I'd add that interestingly adding the redirecting site domain (i.e. the domain in the embedded link) to trusted sites also seemed to work for me. Obviously not much use for tracking link opening.
Clearly this is some weird combination of IE9, Gmail and Adobe as it works fine from Hotmail and from Gmail in Firefox/Chrome. "Display PDF in browser" also worked for me.
