I'm a drupal newbie...
I created my blog post listing page with View. Everything is great...
but the post detail page is not like as I need. So I wanted to create that page as well with View Module, so I can control all content, etc... but how can I create that page? url changes according to post title. somehow I need to define a dynamic Path at view module page.
appreciate helps!!! Thanks a lot!
You aren't going to want to use Views for that. You should look into creating template pages for whatever theme you are using so that you can customize the look. Here's a Drupal handbook page on blog pages specifically:

Here's a book that covers front end theming for Drupal in-depth:

I am new with Wordpress and I need some help.
I have added this theme to my website (theam demo link) and I am trying to create a page where I can add new post and every post must be on the same page and with a read more button (like home page from the link).
Go to Settings > Reading and under "Front page displays" select "Your latest posts."
You should go to the WordPress site and read the getting started as this is a basic setting. Also, read the documentation that comes from the theme developer. It will have further information as well.
In your WordPress admin,
go to Pages » Add New to create a new page Like Blog
go to Settings » Reading
under the Front page displays option choose A static page.
under the Blog page displays option choose A Blog page.
Hello,
You should create a child theme where you can enter a custom template where you can enter the custom loop you need to have the posts you want to show.
Then you will need to create a page and activate it with the custom
template you made.
Hope that can help, however there are a lot of other ways to achieve what you want and this one is not the most beginner friendly but i think it is the most developer friendly, so i think you should at least check it out.
install the plugin visual composer it will help you a lot
I have: index page of website with a section for latest news (short version with a link).
I want: the link in short news have to direct to another page with full version. For every news this page will be similar. Can I do it automatically? In WordPress I will add new post and I don't know how it will create new page of website with a link on it, using my template of this page.
In the news template, right side of the side bar, you can select the template, usually it comes with default template,
Change it to Blog template. Then you can work on it further.
Good luck
I have a site and I'd like a sub section of that site to be blog.
Details:
The site is fairly dynamic.
I have image carousels that get populated via custom-post-types utilizing featured images.
I have titles and headers being populated via custom-post-types and etc... That's all in the index file.
I want to create a pure blog (i.e. news style subsection of the site that aggregates latest blog posts on the www.domain.com/blog, has widget areas that post related content, comment sections, etc etc...) as a subfolder of the landing page.
I was thinking that I would create a new instance of wordpress and put it in a subdirectory of the domain called blog. Obviously this is not an optimal solution.
I'd appreciate any help.
No reason to do another install of wordpress. Just create a separate template and go from there.
These two links should get you started:

I'm developing a WordPress theme and I need to have a custom URL for some kind of content.
For example, I need to have a page to show some article details. Now, i've created a page template called "Article", and so i've to create a new page and give it the page template "Article"
(I get the url http://mydomain.com/article?id=123)
It works fine, but now i'm having dozens of this pages, and it's a mess to create them all on every installation of this theme, so i want to do it in my theme code.
I saw something near that on BuddyPress, where you can use /member/ and it redirects to a member page. I just wanna know how to do so.
Thanks!
If you are running wordpress 3.0 I would recommend making a custom post type for your articles. That would allow you to control the URL in the way that you want and also allow you to use more sophisticated full text urls if you wanted to.
Here are some links to some tutorials about how to make a custom post type to get you started:
http://kovshenin.com/archives/custom-post-types-in-wordpress-3-0
http://kovshenin.com/archives/extending-custom-post-types-in-wordpress-3-0/
The second one has an example file that you can download and edit to help you get started.

Paul
I am building a theme that has a lot of custom templates, like every page. Ridiculous, but for some reason the template I made for the "postings" page is not getting the posts? I have set the post page in reading preferences, and I have set the page to use my template, but it still publishes posts to a default template. Of all the customization I built into this I did not expect the blog part to give me trouble! lol Anyone run into this kind of thing?
Thank you.
The way I usually to it is to have standard setting in reading preferences.
Build my front-page in index.php
Build a template for blog posts
Add a page and assign the blog post template
Of course you then have a kind of placeholder page sitting amongst the other pages, don't really like that. But it works.
