I have a list of objects in an asp.net page. Each object represents a product of a shop, consisting of the name of the product, product id, price, available quantity etc. A customer can select a product from a drop down list, and the corresponding fields, such as price, quantity etc are automatically filled with the appropriate values. For performance reason, when the page loads I have fetched the whole list of products from the database and stored it inside the "Cache['Product']" variable, so that when the value change event of the drop down occurs, I can get the corresponding values without any database queries.
This strategy works fine in my local development environment, but when the page is uploaded to the server, the corresponding fields are not getting appropriate values. Even when a product is selected from the drop down, the corresponding fields are not showing the appropriate price, quantity etc. Seems like my caching strategy is not working.
I don't know what is wrong here. I have set the cache variable as follows :

When I need to retrieve the cache values, I have done it like below :

If you experience different behavior locally than on a server, this may have something to do with the configuration of the server. If you have access to that, check whether there are some differences. Otherwise you might want to post a more detailed sample of your code ;)

Gravity Forms will initially look for the category/tag of the same name as specified and use that. If no match is found, then a new category/tag will be created. All new categories/tags created this way will be placed at the top level of the category/tags hierarchy.
I tried everything in the Populate Anything settings, I can’t get it to correlate with the category that I need.I need this (subcategory-2(name Tour)(term_id=8)), inserts here anyway (subcategory-3(name Tour)(term_id=6))

In FSCM I am looking to modify the Search view on Add/Update PO page (Main Menu--> Purchasing--> Purchase Orders--> Add/Update POs) to display the Requisition ID associated with the PO in the search results page. The only table I have found that has both PO_ID and REQ_ID is PS_PO_LINE_DISTRIB however unless I use a SELECT DISTINCT clause I will get multiple PO_ID rows when there are more than 1 line on a PO.
Within Purchase Order Inquiry you can see the related Requisition ID's related to a PO by clicking on Document Status link inside the Purchase Order inquiry details page.
I started looking at the PeopleCode within the the Purchase Order Inquiry to see how they are linking the PO to a Requisition and it appears to use work tables with related PeopleCode function libraries, but I wasn't able to figure our how they get linked. I am hoping someone else may know the answer to this. Thank you.
I'm on an old version of PeopleSoft (SCM 8.80, Tools 8.51), so your mileage may vary. I'm assuming you're familiar with App Designer. If not, comment below and I'll add some details about what I'm clicking on.
Find the name of the Add/Update PO component.
Open the PURCHASE_ORDER component in App Designer. Now let's find the name of the search record. Note that there is a different record for the Add Search Record, so if you want to change that too, do all of this for that record as well.
Open the PO_SRCH record, and add the REQ_ID field to it. Make sure you mark the field as a key. You should consider saving your modified PO_SRCH under a new name in case you want to be able to revert to vanilla PeopleSoft. If you do, change the Search Record in the component to your new record name.
We can see that PO_SRCH is a view. So let's modify the view to pull in REQ_ID from PO_LINE_DISTRIB. As you mentioned above, there doesn't appear to be another table with both PO_ID and REQ_ID, so you'll have to do a SELECT DISTINCT.
We should do a LEFT OUTER JOIN instead of a standard join because if you do a standard join and you enter a purchase order with no lines and save it, then you'll never be able to retrieve that purchase order in this window. Since REQ_ID is a key field, we can't have a null, so we have to do the CASE.
One odd thing that I ran into here was building the view now gave me an error about selecting fewer columns in the SQL than I had in my record definition. I solved it by modifying the view for SQL Server. I've never had to do that before and I don't know why I had to do it for this specific record. But anyway, I entered the same SQL under the record's "Microsoft SQL Server" definition.
In the properties of PO_SRCH, we can see that it has a related language record. If you're only using one language, you can probably get away without changing this, but I'll do it for completeness. Open PO_SRCHLN. Now add REQ_ID to it (mark it as a key field like you did above), and save it as PO_SRCHLN2 (I'm saving it under a new name so I don't break anything else that may be using PO_SRCHLN).
Edit the SQL the same was as you did above. Note: I didn't have to also change the Microsoft SQL Server definition like I did above. I have no idea why.
Now build PO_SRCHLN2.
Go back to PO_SRCH and change its related language record to PO_SRCHLN2.
Now build PO_SRCH.
Hopefully you didn't get any errors and your search page has the requisition ID in it now. My system doesn't use requisitions so they're all blank in the example below, but the new field is there.
I have an issue related to the data filtering. I have a Google Drive table to store data, and I want to show one field of this data source in a dropdown to make a filter by this field (Country).
The problem is that this dropdown filter it's only showing the countries that appears on the current page of the list. For example, if in the first page appears one country (Thailand) on the dropdown I'll only see Thailand.
If we move to the second page of the list we have another two countries (Spain and Portugal) and then the dropdown will only show Spain and Portugal.
What I really want is a dropdown which shows all the countries, no matter if they aren't on the current page, but I don't know how to fix it.
This the the configuration of the Country Selector:
In the help, it's said we should use #datasource.model.fields.COUNTRY.possibleValues,
but if I use this paramater as Options, nothing is displayed in the selector.
I have spend a lot of hours trying to fix this issue and I don't find the solution, and I would like to check with you if it's an issue or I'm doing something wrong...

You are using the same datasource for your dropdown and table and by #distinct()#sort() you are filtering items that are already loaded to browser (opposed to the whole dataset stored in database).
You need to have a separate datasource for your dropdown. There are at least three techniques to do this:

You can predefine allowed values for your Country field and use them to populate drop down options both in create form and table filtering #datasource.model.fields.Country.possibleValues as you mentioned in question:

By introducing dedicated related model for countries you can get the following benefits:
normalized data (you will not store the same country multiple times)
you'll be able to keep your countries list clean (with current approach there is possibility to have the same country with different spellings like 'US', 'USA', 'United State', etc)
app users when they create new records will be able to choose the country they need from dropdown (opposed to error prone typing it every time for all new records).
your dropdown bindings will be as simple as these:

Create Calculated Model
With Calculated Model you'll be able to squeeze unique country values from your table. You server query script can look similar to this:

However with growth of your Consumption table it can give you significant performance overhead. In this case I would rather look into direction of Cloud SQL and Calculated SQL model.

I gave a pretty broad answer that also covers similar situations when number of field options can be unlimited (opposed to limited countries number).
I have a SqlDataSource, defined in the Master Page, that gets the current user permissions for the web application Select * from portal_users where userid = #userid, where portal_users is a view i built with all the data needed. I need to access the contents on the returned row so I can disable/enable site features according to the user permissions. This results in a lot of if blocks across the child pages to do it.
I browsed around forums and I only found issues about assigning those values to controls like i.e. label. Is there a way to access the SqlDataSource from the Master Page, get the row that is returned, select 1 or more column's values and assign them to variables?

I am working on a form which displays information about orders. Each order has a unique id, but they are not necessarily sequential on the form. Also, the number of fields can vary (one field per row on the form). The input into the form will not be mapped straight into the database, but will be added to the current value in the database, and then saved. An example of the form is in the picture below - the callout on the right shows the id for each row.
I know how to generate the form like this, but I can't work out how I can easily process each of these rows reliably. I also know how to give each of the fields a unique identifier, like name="order-23" or name="order[23]", but how can I translate that name so that I can update the related record in the database?
EDIT: One solution I can think of would be to iterate through every form field in the FormCollection, and if the name of the field matches the pattern, then I will extract the number from that field-name and process it.
However, I feel that there must be a much easier way to go about it - this method would likely involve a fair bit of string processing on each field, and there would possibly fall over if I have to add extra fields for each row later on.
Don't you have a list of IDs after postback? I believe you should not depend on what IDs are actually sent from the form, as anybody could change the IDs on the form to whatever they want, so it's a security issue. So you should after postback have a list of IDs you want to update (the same list you used to create the form with). In that case, you know exactly what id string you should use to retrieve the value from FormCollection.
In case you really can't get the list of IDs you are going to update, just use the FormCollection iteration as you suggested in your comment. The string processing is not that expensive in comparation with all other stuff being done at request processing.
If you have the names, then simply read the values by using Request.Form["order-23"] or re-create the controls in page pre-init and you'll have access to the values in your save event directly through the created controls.
I've done this loads in my CMS.
Essentially i sort of cheated.
The idea is something like this ....
render the form to the client, then look at the source code gneerated.
You should see that it generated a form tag with an action attribute.
When you click the submit button the form will be sent to that url so in the case of an order submission you would post the page back to OrderPage.aspx?OrderId=xxxx
then on the server you would build an update statement for your db that contained something like ...
"Update orders where order id =" + request.querystring["OrderId"]
So how do you update the action ...
In the calling page lets say you have a link called "New Order", when that link is clicked you need to do 2 things ...
redirect to this page.
generate an order id for this new order.
ok the first is simple, simply link it to this page.
the second ...
if this page is not a postback if(!IsPostback) { /* get a new id */ } depending on your order id's this may involve generating a new guid or doing something like getting the next number in a list by doing a select max(id) from a db.
once you have this new id you should still be in the page_load event.
this.form.Action = this.form.Action + "?OrderId=" + yourNewOrderId;
... tada ...
Send page back to the client.
