Asp.net c# Gauge - asp.net

I want to make a gauge in asp.net using c# for slide show.
Can anybody help me how I make a gauge? I have no idea about it.
Thnx in advance

There are commercial gauge controls available. For example, look at http://demos.devexpress.com/ASPxGaugesDemos/

This is a very (very) old post, but give it a try: slider Behavior, or a direct IE>=5 link here
EDIT: You can also use some commercial componentes, like Telerik. See their ASP.NET Slider Demo

How to create a asp dropdown having values and an icon for each values?

I need an asp dropdown list which should have normal values. It must contain an icon or link with that.. I should be able to click the value or icon/link seperatelely.. Both should be independent of each other..
Please help me out..
You cannot do this with plain html or asp.net, but this jQuery solution might be what you are looking for. However, it does not come with icon/link separate, so you might have to play with that yourself.
Good luck!
Use Devexpress dll for this. Please check following link. It will help you.

Let me know if you have any query for the same.

drag and snap Ajax or asp control

im looking for a free version of the following http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/dock/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx and wondered if anyone knew of anything that existed something that you can drag and snap panels in to other panels then save the layout of these panels preferably to a database. If they is no free versions anyone can think of (i have looked and cannot find anything :/ ) how easy would it be to program such a Ajax or asp control? and how could i go about doing so?
Thanks in advance
yes, ASP.NET already has this through its web parts. It's pretty similar to this control. The Telerik one looks nicer, but the web parts controls already have most of the features that Telerik offers.
You can also customize them too.
HTH.
Look at jQuery UI. Specifically their interactions area: http://jqueryui.com/demos/ It's real easy to implement.
The part you will need to supply is the storage of where everything goes.
We use their drag and drop, I didn't even know Telerik had one although we have Telerik all over our projects.

How to edit the Ajax HTML Editor, that I only need a few buttons of it?

I use the HTML Editor from ASP.NET Ajax AjaxControlToolkit http://www.asp.net/ajax/ajaxcontroltoolkit/Samples/HTMLEditor/HTMLEditor.aspx.
Its like: http://s3.imgimg.de/uploads/2889172fdJPG.jpg
But I want to have it like: http://s3.imgimg.de/uploads/3eda09893JPG.jpg
So the default buttons are much overpowered for my users.
Is there a way to reduce the ajax HTMLEditor to this few buttons?
Or is there another controle you can help me with?
You haven't said which one you're using. I would recommend using TinyMCE: http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/
It will be easy to achieve what you want with it.
The best way to achieve this is to take advice from Ed Pitt, I did it this way and I was able to create different versions with different tools. The basic premise is to copy the HTMLEditor.Samples.cs file from the AJAX Control Toolkit source into your app and modify it to only print out the toolbars you want:

Hope this is what you are looking for

ASP.net control similar to auto-hide feature of Visual Studio toolbox

First off, I'm sorry if the title doesn't explain this very well.
I'm looking for an asp.net control that works similarly to the Visual Studio toolbox's auto-hide. In other words, when not needed, it can be "unpinned" and will slide off to the side of the screen. When needed, it can be opened and pinned to stay in place. I'd rather not do it myself using javascript if a (free) control already exists. Does anyone know of such a control? If not, has anyone implemented this type of functionality using a js library with good results? Any pointers?
Thanks in advance.
Edit:
The collapsiblePanel might work, I don't have any experience with it, but it's open source software from CodePlex.
I don't know of any free ASP.Net controls. But if you want to get it working using javascript you can do so with jQuery.
This post on StackOverflow shows how to get the autohide feature working
We use Telerik's RadSplitter. It is exactly what you are looking for.
Unfortunately, it is not free. But it worths checking out since their licensing is very flexible.

ASP.NET Ajax Calendar

I am using MS AJAX ASP.NET Components (Calendar Extender) and I'm finding this problem.
Some weekdays are not being displayed....
I uploaded a picture so you can view exactly how it is being displayed...
The one on the right (calnder) in the picture is taken from microsoft's sample.
Have you got any idea what is causing this problem?
See screenshot: http://www.sajtkik.com/calendar.jpg
Thanks Alot!
I have seen enough odd behavior when it comes to using MS "Ajax" objects across different browsers, to recommend not using the Calendar object if it can be avoided. There are enough client side (JS) libraries out there for calendars that are significantly better.
Why not try a jQuery calendar?
Looks like that your page CSS affects this calendar markup.
You can use FireBug to see which of the CSS rules produce such effect.
You don't need to know much about javascript to use JQuery. It's more simple than Javascript and just a few lines of code you can use JQuery Calendar on your page.
But of course being good needs some efforts.
