Issue: LinkedIn does not generate a thumbnail image when sharing a blog post. Here’s an example blog post: https://blog.terkel.io/12-tips-to-improve-underperforming-blog-posts/
We have:
Upgraded to the latest version of the Yoast SEO plugin
Shared the url to Facebook and confirmed that the thumbnail image displays on their platform
Viewed the source code to determine that the og:image appears, and the media file can render
Analyzed the LinkedIn Post Inspector and determined that they are not detecting an image (image not found; same with the publish date field)
Our site has all the required meta tags for sharing on social media; see their recommendation at https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a521928. So it’s unclear why LinkedIn isn't picking those up.
What solutions would be recommended to get a thumbnail image to be detected and displayed on LinkedIn?
Your og:image is a .webp file. Use a JPEG or PNG; in my experience, LinkedIn doesn't support WEBP images.

I was testing to see how my links appear when it's shared on whatsapp or other social media, I found that it only shows the link, but not the meta description and page/post image etc.
I use the latest wordpress version btw and Yoast SEO plugin.
How to fix it?
Social media takes time to get your updated description and post images and other details that does not effect at a time and yes you can use the Sharing Debugger to see the information that is used when your website content is shared on Facebook, Messenger and other places via this link: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
So I create a new post in Wordpress.
I use the Gutenberg image block to upload an image.
When I scrape the post at the Facebook sharing debugger it displays another random image from my library and tells me no og:image is set.
There's only one image -- how to add the og:image tag?
The og:image tag will contain only the "featured image" of your WP post. If there is no featured image, social media sites will probably use/display the first "regular" image appearing in your post, but there's no guarantee for that.
You might want to use the "Yoast" plugin, this will most likely try to achieve this automatically.
I am using the Kaltura's All i One Video Plugin in WordPress. Whenver, I post a video using Kaltura, whether it is embeded or through the Plug-in Content, The Post doesn't fetch it's thumbnail. If i use youtube or any other video link the thumbnail load corrctly.
Is the thumb generate properly on Kaltura? Can you see it in the kmc?
i have a very strange problem and never faced it before, its not problem with the plugin which i have installed but i don't know why image tag doesn't load few images although images are available on the url if you type same url in browser you will see image but i won't load in the image tag kindly check the screenshot RSS link is displaying image properly on website but FACEBOOK and TWITTER don't show images but if you copy same linke from TWITER or FACEBOOK in url than you can see the image.
Regards
I am not sure why this is happening. But, When i try to post Link Omitted on the company's facebook page, the thumbnails aren't loaded by the facebook. Whereas if I try to post some earlier link from my website, like Link Omitted, all the pics from that page are loaded.
Can someone tell why this happens...Also, sometimes, facebook doesn't load all the images from page.
You rely on how Facebook scrapping your page content which isn't a best way to achieve what you want. The reason you see image for older links is probably caching.
To ensure you have images with posting your content on Facebook you should add og:image OpenGraph meta tags.
For more info on this read OpenGraph documentation and use Facebook Debug tool to check if you have any issues with scrapping and/or all details scrapped correctly.
