Google Cal API - Sending invites that insert calendar event automatically on attendees calendars - google-calendar-api

I'm using:
POST https://www.googleapis.com/calendar/v3/calendars/calendarId/events
To create and post a google calendar event on attendees calendars.
It worked when I was using my personal gmail account. However, when I switched to a Google workspace business account it did not auto insert the calendar invite on the attendees calendar.
I've checked permissions for both accounts, but I cannot figure out why it worked for my gmail during testing but won't operate the same with a Google workspace email. Example:
michael#gmail.com = it worked.
michael#google.com = it did not work.
Anyone experienced with adding g cal invites onto attendees calendars? Do I need an additional parameter like visibility when using this API?
Thank you !
I was able to try this and it succeeded using my personal gmail address as the calendarId. But when I changed the calendarId to a business account it failed. And the calendar invites did not automatically appear on attendees calendars like they did with my personal gmail account as the calendarId.

Is there any way to set up google calendar such that invites come from an alias?

I use google calendar, but I send emails from an alias email there. When I send out calendar invites, it says it comes from my google email address. Is there any way to have this sent out "coming from" the alias email address?
Unfortunately, Google Calendar does not have a way to edit the email from where the invites are being sent. The invitation will only come from the primary email address.
It is a feature that has been requested for years as I was able to find a thread about the matter. Check How to use aliases in Google Calendar?
I always suggest to submit a feature idea through the Google Workspace if you have: Feature idea!
Make sure you have shared the calendar from the alias google account with your main google account so that both calendars show up on the main.
When creating a new event, there you should see a calendar icon. It should have a list of the "Shared Calendars". From here select the one you want the invite sent from and it will be sent on behalf of that alias account.

How to find ownership of a Google Calendar

Some time ago, I created a Google Calendar at calendar.google.com using Chrome Browser, and made it public. This was a calendar in addition to the default calendar provided with every Google identity - let's call it calendarX. I then sync'd calendarX with my Thunderbird (Lightning) client, and am still using it today with Thunderbird, to create & view events.
I now need to know the address of calendarX, so that I can share the link with others. So I logged into calendar.google.com with (what I thought were) the credentials of the calendar owner - but calendarX is missing, no reference to it at all.
So maybe I used some other Google identity to create the calendar?
The only clue I have is the calendar properties in Thunderbird (Lightning). It shows:
googleapi://MYEMAIL#MYDOMAIN/?calendar=MYDOMAIN_dq0l2urbXXXXlj9gcn5o2en1bc%40group.calendar.google.com
Doesn't MYEMAIL#MYDOMAIN imply the ownership of calendarX? That's the Google identity I have checked, and calendarX does NOT appear when I log into calendar.google.com with that identity. The default calendar is there, but not calendarX.
So maybe it's owned by some other identity? How can I find out?
Or how can I find the address of calendarX?
Google Calendars can be found by simply logging in your CORRECT email address which was used to create it. There's no tricky process in that. Just make sure it's your email address and not a service account that was used.
As an Admin of the GSuite system, you can add any calendar to your own account. If you can find the calendar ID from a user who has access to the calendar by going into the calendar settings is the way I did it, you can just add the calendar to your account using the calendar ID URL, once it is in your account as a super admin you can see who created the calendar and you can change who has access and the rights. Very simple but not documented anywhere I could find.

How to public secondary google calendar using Google Calendar API and Service account

I am having similar issues as this. My application is able to create a new calendar, with its calendarId qtg79cn1gs9ci7uge98is7pv6k#group.calendar.google.com.
However, I can't see anything in the Google Calendar web app (logged in with service account). I know that I have created a secondary calendar. How can I add it as an entry to the user's calendar list ?

Track google calendar subscriptions

Is there a way to actively tell which email addresses or google/iCal accounts have added/subscribed to a google calendar? I would like to keep track of how many and which email addresses use it or if they have unsubscribed. Currently, users can add the calendar either to their google calendar or their iCal. I own this calendar and have full access to its features should this be required.
