wordpress downloadable product without checkout - wordpress

im beginner in coding and working on a wordpress downloadable product site.
the problem that im facing with it, is that i have 2 type of files. free and paid.
so i want to add button that add the paid files to cart and go for checkout. thats ok, but my problem is with free files. i don't want free files go to cart too. i want them just to download instantly if the user is signed up to the site and if not signed up, redirect them to sign up page.
thanks for you help.
i tried to add direct link for free files in product summery but the problem is that i cant ask them to sign in and download link will be open to every body.

You can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/content-control/ .
Then you can put your direct link inside the shortcodes [content_control]Logged in content[/content_control] inside the product summary. The download link wont be visible until the user signs up and login.

woocommerce - add a new functionality to the theme along with its UI

I am new in wordpress world and i am planning to do a small store website, all the functionalities i need are already there in woocommerce, but there is this small functionality i need which is as below:
in the homepage i need to show 3 different services are served from the company and each service will have a button which will show a popup or redirect the user to another page.
the popup or the new page will ask the user to enter his information along with his mobile number so the company could contact him.
and i have chooses this theme https://themebeez.com/demos/?theme=orchid-store
and here is a picture of where exactly the change will be
So my question is what is the fastest way to do that, is there a plugin to do this for me, or i should make the actual functionality myself and edit the theme code also manually?
Thanks.

Basically 3 buttons that got you to another page. That can be easily done with just editing the template. Look the support documentation to see if your theme can be edited by some page builder (mine uses Composer, etc) and just add the "buttons", if not you need to edit the template manually with some HTML. Nothing to complicated, it just HTML, not PHP or JS.
the popup or the new page will ask the user to enter his information
along with his mobile number so the company could contact him.
Blockquote
Please clarify, popup or a new page? If it is a new page, when you create the 3 buttons on the homepage, just connect that to a new page each (in the Admin Panel, New>>Page). That it is easy as just but the <a href> tag. But also, that's just how I would do it in a short time.

Asking for plugins is offtopic in SO, also, where is going to go that data? In the database? or is going to be sent to some admin email? Please see the How to Ask
But I think there is exist a lost of plugins to help you with that. You just need some custom fields so Have you tried searching for some? I use one to get in contact with clients which may fulfill your requirements

How to make changes on live wordpress website which has woocommerce data and orders?

I want to make changes to live WordPress websites like posts and pages.I used the woocommerce plugin on my website for purchasing products. How can I make website changes without affecting the customers? How can I know the changes in backend SQL file if I make the changes?
To edit a post that already exists on your site, go to Posts > All Posts in your WordPress dashboard. Click on the title of the post you want to edit in the list provided. If your list spans several pages, you can click through each page or enter your post’s title in the search box.
If you’re changing the post content, click on the post’s title to view the edit page. Make your changes to the post as needed. Once you’re finished, click the Update button to save your edited post.
The same goes with the page editing.
This will not effect to your Order or Products
It can be done basically in two ways:
1) Keep the website in maintenance mode and make the changes accordingly. There are many plugins out there. Ex. Wp Maintenance mode
2) You can update the website, it being live directly for ex. by editing the product details directly or you can edit any data whatever you wish to change.
After making the changes you will see the update changes going live. You don't need to goto mysql shell for this.
Hope this might help.

Is http://www.shoutmeloud.com/videos a separate website?

I just wondering whether http://www.shoutmeloud.com/videos is a subdomain under subdirectory?
I am just curious to know how we can do that.
I have a website called http://quantumbuddy.com/ and I want to share spirtual video the same way here shoutmeloud did.
Can anyone let me know how they did?
The website Shoutmeloud is a very popular website of a very popular Indian blogger Harsh Agarwal. The website is WordPress built as told by him many times. Regarding your question - the http://www.shoutmeloud.com/videos is not a directory because if it had been a WordPress directly there would be a login url - http://www.shoutmeloud.com/videos/wp-login.php, but it is not there.
Seeing the design of http://www.shoutmeloud.com/videos i think it is a post category (videos) which shows the post contained in it(here videos).
In wordpress this comes by default, all you have to do is to create a post category and add post in it. Then in these post add youtube videos embed code.
You can easily achieve that by going to your wordpress dashboard then add a new page and name it like videos then insert some video files there whether it's a link or from your uploaded videos then save it.
To check the page, Add it to your main menu for example then save it.
The url would be like http://quantumbuddy.com/videos.
so basically the videos is the name of the page.
I checked your site and it only contain one link in the menu. Add a page and add it to your menu bar and it would display next to the Blog link.
The website you are referring to is using Genesis Theme. You can find it here

Woocommerce permalink

The issue is on Woocommerce permalink. I have added 7 menus to my woocomerce website, of which 5 of them contains the products, the others are HOME and CART. The problem is, I ain't aware of the permalink concept. Though, I tried to link my products to the respective page by changing permalink as
Custom Structure : http://example.org/%product_cat%/
Category base : products
and it works fine for the 5 products in the menu, but the problem occurs with my CART menu.
When I click it shows
"Page not found! Something has gone wrong. Sorry about that!"
I tried with Woocommerce settings, where I couldn't find any option to resolve this.
Hi try to go to Woocommerce setting and then on Checkout tab set the Cart page to your designated Cart Page that you created. (Same goes as your checkout page). Or try to go to permalink and save again.
What is the link that shows in the browser when you get the "Page not found" error?
If you go to Woocommerce Settings > Checkout, you will see a section called Checkout Pages. Make sure you set your cart and checkout pages to the correct page and save it. If that does not fix your issue, go to Settings > Permalinks and click save. Test again.
You also want to make sure you update your theme and plugins. If none of these options work, please send the url that shows when you get the "page not found" error.
The best way is to use a special plugin as well as you can save time and quickly manage URL’s on your WooCommerce store.
In my opinion, the best plugin for managing links to the WooCommerce platform is the WooCommerce Permalink Manager by Premmerce that allows you to configure URL generation strategy for your store. I used almost all similar plugins, but I can confidently say that it’s the best solution in this area. This plugin is completely free and has a friendly interface. So you can use this tool without any skill.
I hope It will help to you!
