My company are running some updates on our cookie policy. We were looking into OneTrust's cookie compliance. It seems to be a popular platform when it comes to Privacy and Security.
We've build our site on Wordpress but mainly work with Elementor Website Builder for the development. Coding skills are very basic. Does anyone know if OneTrust provides a plug-in or if they provide a code that generates a cookie banner with consent and preferences that could be easily inserted to the site?
Is anyone familiar with OneTrust and how the integration works on Wordpress?

If you have set up Google Tag Manager for website then you can use GTM for script integration. Otherwise add the script to the section before any other script.

I tried to use one plugin called "WP Data Sync". I am also going through its documentation/ support for the same. I am also having wpbakery page builder in my website. So is there any way that we sync with that also?
Note - We have to sync data in the form of images, image gallery, events listing, and the blog posts.
Did you check out WP Data Syncs website at https://wpdatasync.com/ and create an account to check out an API key?
I'm not sure about all APIs, but the ones I've used in the past would require me to register with the API's website, get issued an API key and maybe even designate the key to a specific website (your WordPress site in this case) for security reasons. After that, you would then go to your WP site and setup the API there via WP DataSyncs plugin.

PROBLEM: When I post my website (https://louiseclark.tech) on Facebook it removed my site after a couple minutes. Now when I try to post my site it gives me this message--> It looks like a link you're sharing might be unsafe. What I've done to try and resolve:
When I ran my site through the Facebook debugger I got this message:
The 'fb:app_id' property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.

I pasted my app id into my Yoast SEO plugin under the Facebook category.
Check my Google Webmaster Tools Sitemap...all is verified and sitemap set.
SSL certificate is set - checked with my hosting company SiteGround. When I asked them about this problem they didn't really feel that the security issues where from their side.
I've reported this problem to the black hole that is Facebook support.

In case anyone sees this thread, I found the solution.
When I moved my WordPress sites to managed WordPress hosting I also migrated my websites to https with the SSL certificates. While the pages were migrated and displaying the https just fine, the images still held their old url (http).
I did two things:
I installed SSL Content Fixer plugin. This worked for some images but not others.
I installed Better Search Replace plugin. I had found the specific insecure images using Firefox. From my page in Firefox, I went to:
Tools -> Page Info -> Media This showed me every image/js/css call on this page. Finding these images allowed me to use the plugin to make the changes.
It worked. I'm quite sure knowing how to code my site would be much better in this situation. But I'm a newbie and this is what I could come up with.
What I learned: It's a flag when you have a secure site that embeds non secure objects/images.
I am building a website for a friend. I am using WordPress and doing the work on a localhost. My friend wants a Facebook feed. I have a plugin I like. I signed up as a test user on Facebook but because it's a test user and not a real user on a live site I can't get the plugin to work. I now understand that I am doing the wrong thing trying to use a test user Facebook page to give content to the plugin but I don't know what the right way is. Please tell me the correct way to use "dummy" Facebook content to test a Wordpress plugin on a non-live site. I will delete my test user as soon as I know the correct way. I'm working very hard to learn how to develop websites and how to correctly use Wordpress. I am also researching this on the Wordpress forum and on Google but I also need expert advice. Thank you.
We are planning to create an asp.net website (probably mvc), that needs a cms for news items.
Our content managers and others who require to publish news have asked if they can use wordpress for content management.
Our users have different roles, and news items should be visible to certain roles, or even specific users if possible.
The reason they want wordpress is the manager's user friendliness, so if some other alternative with the same kind of user experience would be ok.
Could anyone please point me in some direction?
NOTE: I'm still doing research at the moment, so I've got nothing holding me back at this point.
There is an API plugin that has been developed to spit out information in JSON, but I have not actually implemented a site with it:

Perhaps you could have the authors work on a wordpress install and create your app to draw content via that plugin?
I too was facing the same issue, little different. We want to have WP as CMS so that our site can take the benefit of SEO which is very easy with WP. SO we installed WP under a folder in the Main ASP.net based website. Initially there were issues, I was unable to run it. Finally managed to run it. DotNetNuke is the most popular ASP.NET based CMS (source). I am implementing my first project in it and so far I am very happy with it.
Note the free edition will not work for you since you need customizable security roles and free has a limited set of predetermined roles. You'll need the pro edition.
I don't know how similar it is to WordPress. Overall, WordPress is much more popular but of course there are platform issues with WordPress since it is Apache based and you want to create an ASP.NET website.
I saw in wordpress some APIs being published for developers. What could a developer gain by using those APIs?
I think you've taken API to mean something similar to what Flickr and Vimeo do, which they are not. They are simply ways for you to access and ammend core functionality of the Wordpress platform, so as to bend it to do what ever it is you need it to do.
There are ways to pull data from your blog to a mobile devise, but that is a very different question.
Wordpress API are for those that want to develop a theme, or writing custom plugins for Wordpress.
Either way, you can use to integrate Wordpress in your exisiting php site, using the powerful backend as an administration tool and the using the API to retrieve the content and present it in your (already) website.
