Generating URL for direct messaging in google chat - google-chat

I am trying to embed a url in our google site wherein the viewer will be routed to a direct message in google chat should they have a question. However the only answer I have found so far was through google hangouts. Can you suggest how will I be able to do it to google chat? Thank you in advance.

Track Newsletter Link Click with Google Analytics

I am partnering with an email newsletter to include some url links I'd like to advertise.
Can someone advise on how I might get "click" stats on these url links? The links neither redirect to my website/app, and are just links to, for example, a youtube video.
I've gone down the rabbit hole of Google's Campaign URL builder and Google tags, but am admittedly lost as a complete beginner regarding Google Analytics, tracking, etc, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
With Google Analytics, the only way you can track clicks within is if you leverage UTMs and drive traffic to a site or property that you own. I believe the UTMs might translate to YouTube account but, again, you have to own the video.
There are ways of leveraging Universal Analytics tags, in the form of pixels, that only measure when an email is opened (and the picture is essentially downloaded). But this doesn’t relate to clicks.
More than likely you will need to either use a dedicated email platform with built in analytics, or subscribe to an email analytics service. Google Analytics won’t really be of any value to you.

How to get access to LinkedIn Live Video API?

We are building streaming application and need access to LinkedIn Live API.
According to the docs we need to request one of the scopes w_organization_live or w_member_live but they are not authorized and there does not seem to be a way to add those to the linkedin app: https://share.getcloudapp.com/L1uWLO0e
Any ideas how to make it work? Should we talk to someone?

create unique links to send to users

I have been tasked with sending out a google forms link to a set of email addresses. I need each link to be unique so that a user can only answer the form once.
Is this possible with google forms?
The emails I send to will not necessarily have google accounts so the "limit to one response" will not be suitable as users will not be able to login to a google account to answer the form.
Many thanks for any pointers
No, its not possible to create unique links to prevent that a user without a Google account submit more than one answer.
Regarding official documentation to support this, there isn't as usually Google only include the supported features. The close that you could find are feature requests on the Google Issue Tracker, posts on the Google Docs Help Forum.

Analytics API no longer linked to my Google account

I contacted Google Analytics support by email and they pointed me to this forum. Hope you guys can help me out.
Before I signed up for Google Apps for Work, I used to have a Google account (ex: myemail#mycompany.com).
After signing up for Google Apps for Work (with the same email) I had to choose between the old account and the new one. I chose the new one that I use right now with Google Apps for Work.
OK, and how is that related to the Google Analytics API, you may ask?
Well, on my old account I had the Google Analytics API enabled and this connection was lost when I chose to keep the new account.
My connection to Google Analytics API still works as it should, but the API is no longer linked to my account.
My question is, can you guys link the Google Analytics API to my account back?
Thanks so much for your help.
Philip
PS. I can provide my Google email account and the Google Analytics API client id on request if needed.

Realtime HTTP notifications using Google Analytics when user views my page?

I was wondering if its possible with Google Analytics to send real-time HTTP notifications to say PHP when a user visits my website. If not, I am curious about any real-time notifications that Google Analytics can send to me when a user visits my site. Thanks!
EDIT::Just came across Piwik and it says that it is realtime... does anyone have any experience with them or using their api?
As far as I know, no. You'll have to use another service or write your own.
Maybe there is a commercial google analytics that may give you this but i don't know.
Just to announce that this feature is very close to be released.
According to their blog (http://analytics.blogspot.com/2011/09/whats-happening-on-your-site-right-now.html), it will become public sometime in the next few weeks.
too late but, you can use imrelay - for free http://indo-mars.com/imrelay/ , just use socket.io /webrtc in your php.
