Unable to connect with the configured development Web server - asp.net

I am getting the subject message when trying to open a web page on my development machine in Visual Studio 2019 on Windows 10 pro. I have just set this machine up and have moved several projects to it. One of the projects opens fine. The other gives this message when I try to View the page in browser. Both sites are set up the same in IIS. I have tried several of the suggested solutions such as deleting the .VS file and re-opening the solution, in Admin mode, and not.
Most of the solutions to the issue were posted several years ago, with older versions of VS and Windows. Has any one found a solution to this issue in the newer versions of VS and Windows?

Crystal Report Viewer bboj is undefine error after windows update in IIS Windows Server 2012 R2

My Asp.Net application developed with VS 2012 was working fine but when I updated my windows server 2012 r2 yesterday. The crystal report stop working after that update and showing blank. I tried everything, reinstall IIS by using windows feature, place fresh copy of my application, changed permission setting, place aspnet_client folder in www and in application folder. Still out of luck.
I am sure that the problem appears after I install updates in my server. My office work suffers a lot due to this problem. An immediate help will be extremly appreciated.
The problem held aftermy system automatically updated .Net Framework to version 4.6.01055 which was not compatible with Crystal Report older version. I installed CRforVS_13_0_18.exe and restart the machine. It start working.

VS2013 MVC 5 Add controller missing

before posting, I read all the posts related to this query, as well as the ones in asp.net forums. There is a filed bug related to this problem which was filed as solved, but still unsolved in the current version (VS2013.4).
The problem is that my Visual Studio 2013 is missing the "Add Controller" option, so I have no way of scaffolding new controllers in my MVC 5 projects. Some clarifications:
It is a new MVC5 project, not MVC4->MVC5 migration.
Updated all nuget packages, all VS related stuff as well.
Repaired VS2013
Uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled VS2013
Upgraded it
Installed the .NET Web Tools from the DVD and from internet.
Changed the project GUIDs as some suggest (btw, those solutions seem to work only for MVC4 or less, not for VS2013 MVC5)
I have a virtual machine at work with win8.1 64bits and VS2013.4 that does have "add controller" option (same config as my home laptop, but in a virtual machine). Also tried to copy the same .csproj settings with no luck.
So, basically, unless someone came across another solution I still may have not tried yet, is to format and reinstall everything.
I don't know if this is applicable to your case and if it will directly help you, but I had some problems with Microsoft development tools and hidden buttons when using them on my touch screen enabled laptop
The solution was to turn off windows/controls scaling in Control panel (set it back to 100%)

Visual Studio 2015 - Opening two projects in debug mode

I'm using Visual Studio Ultimate 2015 CTP (Version 14.0.22512.0 DP), and create two asp.net 5 vnext web applications.
When one is running, and I'm starting the second one with the context menu "Debug->Start new instance" option, the IIS Express crashes instantly (Internet Explorer opens firstly the second project, and then instantly closes both, Chrome simply display only that the page doesn't exist).
The only trace that I found is in the Event Viewer, a Warning from IIS Express:
The directory specified for caching compressed content C:\Users\Alek\AppData\Local\Temp\iisexpress\IIS Temporary Compressed Files\Clr4IntegratedAppPool is invalid. Static compression is being disabled.
Any suggestions how to fix this? It's hard to work on a multi-tier project when only one project can be run at a time.
When I created manually above folder, nothing is logged to the event viewer, but the IIS Express still crashes. On Visual Studio 2013 I can run two instances of two Web Applications withtout any problems
It should work if you set your solution to use multiple startup projects and add all the projects you need to debug
Really easy steps to follow here:
http://www.magnetismsolutions.com/blog/paulnieuwelaar/2015/04/07/debug-multiple-projects-at-the-same-time-in-visual-studio
Still not as easy as previous versions of visual studio
Maybe not a solution, but a workaround which I found - running two instances of Visual Studio 2015 allow to run two projects.

Crystal Reports and Visual Studio 2010 Error: Unsupported Operation

I Googled for this error, and found many links on SAP as well as StackOverflow, but none of these seem to answer my specific problem.
I have developed a web application using VS 2010, ASP.NET 4.0 and Crystal Reports. I have deployed this application on Windows 2003 R2, Enterprise Edition, SP 2, 32-bit, on IIS 6. I have installed Crystal Report Distributable 32-bit, Version - 13.0.8.1216, on the server. The data source is Oracle 11g XE, on a separate server
When I browse the report from the browser (IE, FF), the reports are visible in the viewer for some time. The problem is after some time, I start getting the following error:
Unsupported Operation. A document processed by the JRC engine cannot be opened in the C++ stack
As suggested in many solutions, i have checked the availability of the report files(.rpt) and they are available on \Reports folder. The aspnet_client folder is also available which has a crystalreportviewer13 folder inside aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319
I have no clue, why it will work perfectly fine initially, but later it will start giving this error. I thinks it is probably when I try to access the application concurrently from 3-4 different machines. I replicated this behaviour once.
Now if restart the server machine, it again works fine. Restarting just IIS does not help
Would appreciate any help, as I am at my wits end to find a solution. I will readily provide any other information if required.

ASPNETDB.MDF version conflict

I'm working on a project on my home computer which has Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate on it. I saved the project to a flash drive and did some work on it in the office where Visual Web Developer 2010 is installed.
The project so far just has the login screen which uses a .net login control. It was working on my home computer, and worked on my work computer. But after I brought it back home and tried to run it I get an error saying:
"The database '(my flash drive path)/ASPNETDB.MDF' cannot be opened because it is version 661. This server supports version 655 and earlier. A downgrade path is not supported."
So apparently when I ran it on my work computer it set the database to version 661. What can I do now so I can run it on my home computer? What changes do I need to make to make sure I can work on this project in both places going forward?
Thanks for any help!
The easiest solution would be to update SQL Server (or SQL Server Express, as appropriate) on your home computer to the currently released version.
