img styling is changing the way emojis are displayed - css

I have a GatsbyJS website that uses NetlifyCMS. I restyled the images on my website to be centered. The issue i've found now is that all the emojis in the blog posts are now also in a new line and centered in the posts and it doesn't look good at all.
Is there anyway to style the img and emojis seperately? I am aware that emojis show up on the markdown file as images.
I have attached images of how the emojis look in the blog posts, the markdown file and the styling file.
Any solutions would be appreciated <3

That's because you are using images.
In markdown the syntax
![x](y)
will be rendered to html as
<img src='y' alt='x'>
So, the solution is either using plain emoji as #ando-andriamalala suggested.
Or, if you really need to use image (I'm guessing for display consistency?), you can, assuming you only use this domain for your emoji needs:
.Content img[src*="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net"] {
...
}
see MDN CSS: Attribute selectors for details

Try to use copy and past emoji instead of image 😆

Generate content code from Icon s pack - CSS

I have downloaded a simple template from the internet and for icons, the developer used Flaticons font. Now I want to put another icon on the website but I can't get Flaticons code for CSS file. On Flaticon site only can be downloaded in PSD, SVG, BASE 64 I don't have code like .flaticon-research:before { content: "\f100"; }. How to get that? Is there any solution to convert SVG file to get that content or how? I don't want to download every single SVG file and from the SVG file get the icon. I want to use the above example method. Any help will be welcome. Thanks all
follow the instruction here https://www.flaticon.com/iconfonts
after downloading the font you will see multiple files show you how to use your icons depending on you using css or scss

Using content property to get favicon?

I'm editing the CSS of a WordPress theme in order to make it fit my needs better. I've come across what, as far as I can tell, retrieves the favicon for different social media sites.
.social-menu li a[href*="flickr.com"]::before { content: '\f16e'; }
I follow that it looks for flickr.com in the url I provide, but what's the content property doing? How could I change the content field to support another site, such as StackOverflow?
Like #Paulie_D said, icon fonts.
The content property is pointing to a Unicode character in a icon font set. The CSS selector is prependnig the icon (via pseudo element) to an anchor element <a> that has a link that contains flickr.com.
This might be a coincidence but the current version of FontAwesome uses the same unicode character \f16e for Flickr.
As far as "supporting other sites, such as StackOverflow," you'll be at the mercy of the icon font. What ever the icon font provides is what you can use.
If the site is indeed using FontAweseom then you'll have quite a few icon options available to you, including StackOverflow \f16c. Here is a list of all the FontAwesome Icons.

Logo is set as h1 tag - how to remove this (wordpress)?

in my wordpress blog using theme "hueman" I added a logo.
I looked with firebug in the code and saw that the logo is set as h1 tag on every page. I would like to remove this because I want the titles in the text/content to be h1.
Unfortunately I can't find the code and don't know what exaclty needs to be removed?
Using firebug it says "h1....site-title..." but in the css file I only find a page-title that is defined with h1. Do I just have to delete the "h1" here?
Thanks for helping me

Heidi
I have never used the hueman theme... however if you look in the folder wp_content/themes/hueman/header.php
In word press themes the logo and top menu are normally rendered in this file and is called by the wp_header() function with in your templates.

How can I preserve the CSS of a Gist?

On a blog post on my website, I decided to share some of my code using a GitHub Gist, since I thought it would be an easy way to apply code formatting and syntax highlighting to my code.
I've embedded the Gist in the post, but for some reason my website's CSS has overridden the CSS of the Gist and so I've ended up with code which is all grey and in a serif font. I assumed that since the stylesheet in the Gist is being linked to after my main stylesheet link, it would be fine, but this seems not to be the case.
How can I make it so that my main stylesheet won't modify the styling of the Gist?
Edit: Here is the page where the problem is occurring, the Gist is near the bottom.
Are you using the embed option? There would be one located on the left sidebar the says "embed this gist" which uses different ids from your css stylesheet so it wont conflict.
You can also rename your selectors on your website, the second stylesheet takes priority not the first.
