I've download Qt for Open Source Development online installation file named as qt-unified-linux-x64-4.1.1-online.run
I edited the file property just to execute the file as a program. I let the program doing the installation, but after a few minutes later, it just crashes: Error during installation process (qt.qt5.512211.src).
I have several libraries and programs like Arduino; web servers like ngninx, or php, phpMyAdmin, mySQL and all of them run ok. Qt is the only one with issues.
It could be a bug from Qt? Or should I reinstall Ubuntu 18.04 and do all the Qt installation process again?

I've installed Qt and Qtcreator on a Raspberry Pi 3 using the normal apt-get install method. Everything seems to work fine except when I try to build the declarative-camera example or other multimedia examples I get an error saying module "QtMultimedia" is not installed. Then the empty white application window pops up.
I've tried installing and reinstalling all the required packages such as libqt5multimedia5, qtmultimedia5-dev, etc and it just says they are installed with newest version.
Has anyone had success with getting qt multimedia working on raspberry pi?

I tried using the suggested solution of:
sudo apt-get install qtdeclarative5-qtmultimedia-plugin
That gives me an error of:
E: Unable to locate package qtdeclarative5-qtmultimedia-plugin
This seemed to work run the command below:
sudo apt-get install libqt5multimedia5-plugins qml-module-qtmultimedia
I was missing libqt5multimedia5-plugins
Open Qt Maintenance Tool (It is already installed on your pc when you downloaded Qt)
Login to your Qt account and hit next
Select Add or Remove Components, next
Go to Qt -> (The Qt version you installed) -> Additional Libraries and select Qt Multimedia like this
Hit next to install it
I've been using OpenCV and Marble libraries compiled and linked with Qt. Every time I do it I have problems running cmake to make these libraries. it seems paths in the qt cmake files to other qt cmake files are incorrect. I get errors like:

I can fix this in Ubuntu by running
sudo apt-get install qt5-default
This is fine in Ubuntu, but now I am trying to compile these libraries on mac and windows now. Anyone know a way to get a Qt with all of these paths already correct? tried the installer on windows and mac, and brew on mac. I don't really have time to play with fixing each one of these errors one by one
At least Qt 5.5 on Windows (using the Qt installer) should work out of the box. It has DBus included. Which Qt version are you using currently?
When I try to install Aptana Studio, I get an error message Failed to correctly acquire installer_nodejs_windows.msi file: CRC error. I am then told that Aptana Studio setup ended prematurely bacause of an error. The installer then shuts down without installing the application. I have installed nodejs, but still get this error.
This is because the PC you are installing it on, has no internet connection.
I had following message boxes before I got the error you mentioned:
Solution: On a PC connected to internet either go to the URLs above , download and transfer the installer files to your PC, or get the newest versions of nodejs and git, then install them on your development PC.

I get the same error when trying to install Aptana 3.6.1 just now. Found the solution in this thread another thread(run the installer with "/passive /norestart").
For automated testing on RIDE(Robot framework), I had already installed PYTHON 2.6 and wxPython 3.0 version,PATH had already been updated in Environment variables, and when I jumped to the last phase i.e Installing RIDE(version -"robotframework-ride-1.3.win32.exe") through Windows Installer, application is been installed when I try to through "Run as Administrator", it was unable to open the IDE. How I can resolve this issue?
I installed RIDE a few days ago with no problem.
First you need to install python like you did (run the command: "python --version" to verify the installation).
After that, you will need to install Robot Framework (run the command: "pybot --version" to verify the installation)
If Robot Framework was sucessfully installed then it's time to install wxpython (choose the right installation, depending on the python version installed)
Finally you only need to install RIDE and it should work
You can follow the steps given below to install robotframework.
Install Python 2.7.1
RIDE runs only on the regular Python, not on Jython nor IronPython.
Download Python 2.7.1
Install Python 2.7.1.
Set the path in environment variable. (Look below for instructions )
Note: Python 2.6 is the minimum version. Robot Framework, RIDE does not yet support Python3 .
Set path on Windows 8 (Windows 7 users also can try the steps)
Open Start and
search Environment Variables
Click on Edit the system environment variables
Goto Advanced tab
Click on Environment Variables button
Scroll down under System variables and click on Path
Click on Edit button
Append ;<InterpreterInstallationDir>;<InterpreterInstallationDir>\Scripts\ in variable value Save the changes.
If command prompt is already open, then re-open command prompt to effectively take changes.
Install wxPython 2.8.12.1
It is necessary to install wxPython because RIDE’s GUI is implemented by using wxPython.
Download wxPython 2.8.12.1 directly from https://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.10/python-2.7.10.msi
Run the installer and finish the setup. This will install wxPython 2.8-win32-unicode-2.8.12.1 on your system.

Install Robotframework 2.9rc1
Using Command Prompt
You can install RIDE by using the pip or easy_install commands.
Run either of the following command to install Robotframework:
pip install robotframework ride
OR
easy_install robotframework ride
After the installation of RIDE, run the following command:
`ride.py` (this will launch RIDE )
Using Windows Installer
Download robotframework-RIDE 1.4:
You can download RIDE installer for windows version from
https://pypi.python.org/packages/source/r/robotframework-ride/robotframework-ride-1.4.tar.gz
Open the installer and follow the onscreen instructions. After installation, launch RIDE by double clicking the shortcut icon.

You probably have the different versions for wxPython and Python in your machine. Always make sure you should install the wxPython version same as the python version i.e. Python 2.7.
Windows 7: I have installed Qt 4.8.4 Win and Qt Creator 2.6.2 Win, VS2010 (from here). When I try to open a project (previously compiled with Qt 4.8.3 / Creator 2.5.2), it says I need a kit (no valid kit) and eventually I end up at Qt version is not properly installed. All is shown in the screenshots below.
I have checked some solutions:
SO QT version is not properly installed, please run make install is for Linux
Some say, I need to install Qt SDK, but where do I find this (this one contains older Creator / Qt versions), and what sense would the individual installers make if I need SDK?
Some say, I need to add Qt to path, but what exactly? Creator? The Qt 4.8.4, the qmake dir?
Somehow I fail with this make install, nothing happens.
I have installed the 5.0.1 including Creator 2.6.2 as one installation, this works. But when I then download 4.8.4. and try to add it as QT Version, same issue: Qt version is not properly installed
Any idea what I would need to do or install.

I had the same problem. Try to choose "qmake.exe" from the BIN folder, not the qmake folder, so in your case probably P:\Qt\Libs\4.8.4\bin\qmake.exe

Simply running configure solved it for me, I did not build, nothing else. The installer did apply several patches, so I still do not get why I have to run configure.
