I have a question about Wordpress blog.
I have posts and pages with different content.
On one day, the instead of any page in my blog I see the message "Author Settings Not Found". But posts are displayed normally.
In other words, posts and categories work perfectly but pages are affected by this technical issue.
I tried to search solution of this problem but it's unclear: I can see just webpages with the same problems but not an advice how to fix it.
I'll be much appreciated for any help.
I spent a couple of hours to find the issue.
Since I see that over 400 websites in the Internet, which are built on Wordpress, have the same notifications, I will share my own experience how to fix this problem. Perhaps, it will be useful for someone.
In my case, I re-installed Wordpress, deactivated plugins related to pages and page management but nothing helped.
Then I deactivated the plugin "About Author" (in my case it was "Version 1.4.7 | By Weblizar") and the pages returned to their previous place.
I don't have the problem anymore. Pages are displayed.
Hence, if you have "Author Settings Not Found" - deactivate this plugin, because it overlaps the basic settings for author in Wordpress.
Thanks!

I have a blog in my website using wordpress and noticed that there are spam posts such as bride, dating and other ads that are not related to my website. I don't know where it come from as I only have an access on the dashboard. I already installed wordfence and no detected issues on the site. All of the plugins are updated and have the latest version of Wordpress.
Sometimes it published multiple articles on one day and noticed that it post at least one article everyday.
Is it happening on most of the Wordpress websites right now? How I can prevent this?
Hopefully, someone can help solve this problem. Any idea or hint to solve it will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Go to your database then check the wp_users table and see if there are accounts that are not supposed to be there.
I created a plugin to add a custom post type to a wordpress site. Everything was functioning perfectly fine together. I was trying to add in a new function to allow revisions to appear with the custom fields.
Suddenly, I'm getting a 404 message on every single page and when on the admin panel, I can't view any posted pages, posts, or custom posts. It says they are published but I can't see them (yes I am a full admin).
I deactivated my plugin and everything came back.
I deleted it and reverted it to an older version but am still encountering this problem. The version of the plugin currently installed was working just fine yesterday. I have changed nothing else on the site either. I have tried to update permalinks and repair the databases.
I'm not sure what code to even share here. Does anyone have any ideas? I can't find anything when searching.
I have a very strange problem with a wordpress site I made for a friend of mine. I knew about the last WP bug fixed with version 4.2.2 , so I decided to update WP. As usual I made a backup with the plugin I usually use (its name is duplicator), then upgraded and I decided to also uninstall some deactivated plugins and to install "all in one seo pack". After all this operations I noticed that below all articles there is a "404" text and I really can't understand where the hell it comes from. So I thought that I made something wrong and restored the backup to a new location to see how the site was looking at the moment I made the backup and also in the new install I can see this "404" text. Does anybody ever had a similar problem? I really can't understand what's causing this issue. Attached you will find a, example screenshot, but that identical situation happens for all articles (BUT NOT FOR PAGES).
Thank you for your help
Just some minute after asking the question on SO, I found the problem: I decided to investigate the theme's pages in the editor and I found that the page "comments.php" was composed just from the text 404, as shown in the attached screenshot. Now the question is: how can it be possible? Could that mean that my site was hacked due to the wordpress bug resolved with the 4.2.2 version?
Kaltura's plugin for Wordpress looks like a great tool. It seems to work to add video to a page while editing the page. But, the video doesn't display once you view the site. Also, there is a button on the post page that says "Add Video Comment". It doesn't work either. This is what I'd REEEEEEally like to get working.
I've been to the Kaltura site, and there is reams and reams of documentation, but nothing that actually applies to this Wordpress plugin. Its almost like it doesn't exist to them....
Any help on this would be great.
Seems like you have a faulty installation... the features you mentioned should just work after installation.
Are you using Kaltura.com or your own self hosted Kaltura CE?
Any public URL where we can see the issues?
I needed a wordpress plugin for forums, so i installed Simple-Press plugin, the plugin works perfect with good controls and every thing seems perfect, but one problem i am having is on the Profile page of each user, i am getting this error
http://prntscr.com/7auib (screenshot)
Profile form could not be found [//wp-content/plugins/simple-press/forum/profile/forms/sp-form-global-options.php]
Can any one help out on this?
Don't bother with this plugin. Use bbPress which is the best and most compatible forum plugin for WordPress. It's made by the WordPress team.
