How to Prevent Spam Post/Articles in Wordpress? - wordpress

I have a blog in my website using wordpress and noticed that there are spam posts such as bride, dating and other ads that are not related to my website. I don't know where it come from as I only have an access on the dashboard. I already installed wordfence and no detected issues on the site. All of the plugins are updated and have the latest version of Wordpress.
Sometimes it published multiple articles on one day and noticed that it post at least one article everyday.
Is it happening on most of the Wordpress websites right now? How I can prevent this?
Hopefully, someone can help solve this problem. Any idea or hint to solve it will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Go to your database then check the wp_users table and see if there are accounts that are not supposed to be there.

Wordpress: Author Settings Not Found instead of Page

I have a question about Wordpress blog.
I have posts and pages with different content.
On one day, the instead of any page in my blog I see the message "Author Settings Not Found". But posts are displayed normally.
In other words, posts and categories work perfectly but pages are affected by this technical issue.
I tried to search solution of this problem but it's unclear: I can see just webpages with the same problems but not an advice how to fix it.
I'll be much appreciated for any help.
I spent a couple of hours to find the issue.
Since I see that over 400 websites in the Internet, which are built on Wordpress, have the same notifications, I will share my own experience how to fix this problem. Perhaps, it will be useful for someone.
In my case, I re-installed Wordpress, deactivated plugins related to pages and page management but nothing helped.
Then I deactivated the plugin "About Author" (in my case it was "Version 1.4.7 | By Weblizar") and the pages returned to their previous place.
I don't have the problem anymore. Pages are displayed.
Hence, if you have "Author Settings Not Found" - deactivate this plugin, because it overlaps the basic settings for author in Wordpress.
Thanks!

Is there a way to find Wordpress Plugin updates without admin panel access

I've been asked by a prospective client, to do an audit on their WordPress site.
They have asked me,
if I can check their all plugins are up to date too but they wont / cant (yet) give me access to the admin panel.
Is there a way I can do this? I know I can find the WP version in the code of the site (and this one needs updating)
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance
You could ask them for a screenshot of their plugins page (www.example.com/wp-admin/plugins.php), and then cross-reference the versions listed there with WordPress.org to check if they are up-to-date.

Wordpress not reflecting phpMyAdmin database changes unless I log in

this is I think a really unusual case. A little backstory, I outsourced a PSD to WP project a few months ago, but not currently working with the developer anymore as he stopped replying to my support questions. I'm trying to solve this on my own before I give this to the client, as I have no more budget to hire another developer.
I have two problems, first is I couldn't access the WP dashboard even though my login is an admin account. Been trying to solve this through numerous google searches and blog posts but to no avail, I couldn't fix it.
Here goes my main problem: So I finally found a way how to update the content on the site using the phpMyAdmin backend database. (good thing I know HTML CSS)
I managed to update the content, but when I tested the site using incognito window and other profiles / browsers, the changes from phpMyAdmin does not reflect on the site. I tried logging in, and weirdly, the changes are there. I log out, changes are there.
I just find it really weird and a hassle that I have to log in to see those changes. It's a client facing site, and the changes are really important so I hope someone has experienced this before and can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Updated woocommerce, all old orders now missing from woocommerce back-end

So I recently updated the woocommerce plugin on a wordpress ecommerce store that I manage, however, previously the theme being used on the site had been developed from a template & once the update of woocommerce completed, the front-end of the site broke.
As a result I reverted back to the old version of woocommerce as a temporary fix. The problem is that now in the back-end in the orders tab, none of the orders from before the update are being shown - even though it states that there are over 4000.
I assume that this is something to do with the DB?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Not sure, but maybe this might contain the solution because it's kind of a similair problem. And if you can't get the answer here, you might wan't to ask the woocommerce support.
