Facebook Pixel: mismatched content_id values - how to fix? - google-tag-manager

I would greatly appreciate some help with my current Facebook catalog ad predicament.
For a product with stock number 12345, our data feed brings it into the Facebook catalog as 616_12345 (the 616_ is consistent). This is the content_id.
To match the FB pixel content_id and track events, the stock number in the catalog needs to match the stock number on the site. So no events are being recorded.
I am managing the pixel and events through Google Tag Manager. I have set up a CSS selector that points to the stock number in an unordered list, but of course it just returns 12345.
Is there a way to create a variable in GTM that assumes a "616_" will be added before the stock number?
I've been told there is no way to remove that 616_ from the data feed - so this is the only option I can think of.
Thanks very much in advance!

Yes there is a way to create a variable in GTM - simple create "Constant" variable and set its' value to "616_". You can then reference this variable in your events and tags by simply using double curly brackets like so: {{VariableName}} . You can find detailed information here.

Field is periodically updated. Need to show New and prior field when changed

For this report, I need one field (Sales Code) to only show if it has been updated. Periodically they change Sales code and I want a report to show the prior code along side the new code when it changes. Along with its part number and so on.
I was wondering the best way to go about tackling this request.
I tried to do _add_days -1 and compare the Sales code --> Sales code1. I dont think that will give me what I am looking for.
For example Sales code changes from AA --> AB.
I want to see New CODE OLD Code Part Number and so on...
AB AB 12345
The pattern you are encountering is called a slowly changing dimension.
Here's a wee free primer.
https://www.kimballgroup.com/2013/02/design-tip-152-slowly-changing-dimension-types-0-4-5-6-7/
You don't mention the structure of the data you're working with so it would be quite difficult for me to say what type you have other than the fact that you're trying to track historical data and seem to have it captured somehow rules out type 0.
Because of that, I can't come down from Mount Sinai with the solution but this can help you start to think through the problem.
In Framework manager have the modeler design the fields for SalesCode and SalesCode1
To only show if there was a change
Add a detail filter:
SalesCode <> SalesCode1
To control the context of time, have a separate filter like:
[Sales Date] between ?FromDate? and ?ToDate?

Adding a user-filled value as well as a pick value for google appmaker

I would like to define a field, where there is a list of allowed values as well as give user the option to type it in. For example, I list a bunch of previous jobs that the applicant can have, plus have them pick other and fill it in as well.
Is it possible to do this with one field or do I need two fields where the user has to type it in? Is there a doc. or sample or tutorial I can look up? Thanks.
Here is a super simple Tags sample:

To cover your exact use case you just need to:
Add logic to check if record already exists
1.1 If record doesn't exist, then create one
Create relation between records
If you don't care about duplicates in your database, then you can skip step 1 and always do 1.1 and 2.

Filtering data and Display Heading based on filters

being a newbie to SSRS, I am trying to figure out the following:
say for instance I have a dataset which does a :
SELECT [cols...] from [some view]
I want to be able to further filter this based on parameters given from an ASP.NET site (I am using the AJAX control toolkit for the report viewer). There could be x amount of parameters and potentially can be filtered on 1 or more columns.
First question is, how would I filter the dataset and pass along the parameters along with which field the filter should apply to? I may have [col1] and I want to filter it with x values.
Second question Is, I want to be able to group the results per page based upon a column. So for each grouped result set, I want them to be displayed per page (per group per page).
Then on the headers of the page, I want it to display what the page grouping is. How would I do this?
In terms of what have I tried - nothing as I DO NOT KNOW HOW, it is why I am asking the question here to see what the experts (you) can suggest and guide me.
thank you!
To do this you can create Parameters in SSRS, they do not need to be in your query or anything. Then, go to your tablix and click either ROW or column depending on the filter type and set it show/hide visibility. For example I have a report that has personal information, so i have true/false parameter that hides/shows those columns, similar I have one that hides/shows any row with a -1 for the total paid.

Google Analytics API: how to get non-US visitors

I have been using visitors with ga:country filters to get specific country's visitors. For example to get the number of visitors from US, I used the filter of 'ga:country==United%20States'. But I am wondering if I can do something like 'ga:country!=United%20States'? I guess I can subtract ga:country==United%20States from total visitors but I am wondering.
The easet way of doing this is to create a filter ga:country. A filter will let you remove a subset of the data returned by a query. Think of it like a where clause in SQL.
Filter=ga:country!%3DUnited%20States
That translates to
Filter=ga:country != United States
I made a simple report on my personal dashboard the Google Analtyics to test it.
Added info on filtering:
You can add more then one filter by seprateing
OR operator is defined using a comma (,).
AND operator is defined using a semi-colon (;).
You can mix and match Metric and Dimensions in the same filter.

filtering datagrids

In a simple scenario there is a webpage with a datagrid containing 2 columns; first name and country. There's a filter set on the grid to filter out all Australians. There's a form on the same page to add new records and a user decides to add someone from Australia. This record does not meet the filter criteria so would not normally display. However, this might be confusing from the users perspective as they might not have confidence that the person has been successfully added or have forgotten that the filter will mean the new entry is not displayed.
What is the best way to handle this from a usability perspective?:
display the new entry but leave the list in a state inconsistent
with the filter criteria?
filter out the new entry but risk confusing the user?
provide feedback to the user that the record was successfully
added but may be filtered out of the list?
?
Three tools I use, Mingle, Jira, and Quicken, use this implementation very effectively; a slight modification to your number 3:
Provide feedback to the user that the record was successfully added, but won't be shown, and provide a link to the record using its record identifier (record number + title).
