Just want to preface this with, I know the functionality is new, only let out into the wild a week ago! Definitely will be patient with it.
I've just set the Resize Image extension up and the test run (just uploading an image) is causing an infinite loop of uploads and deletes (and error messages), where the newly resized images appear to be attempting to create new images, or something similar. My input for Cloud Storage path for resized images is images and this is leading to this error:
Deleting temporary resized file: 'images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/images/_200x200'
I'm currently seeing an issue where a single image is causing the function to run until it hits:
Error when resizing image { Error: Backend Error
...
code: 503,
errors:
[ { domain: 'global',
reason: 'backendError',
message: 'Backend Error' } ],
response: undefined,
message: 'Backend Error' }
Any ideas for a solution to this? I uninstalled the extension to stop the infinite loop but not sure how to make the extension run smoothly.
The only steps I've taken so far were the setup guide of accepting a few things and changing the path to images.
Where's the best place to report this? Happy to delete this on SO if it's not the right place.
This looks like a bug on the firebase extension.
It's already logged here:github
It occurs when your file name does not have an extension like .jpg or .png. As a work around, you might want to rename any files uploaded to the storage bucket to have an extension

document_name ='TestDoc'
document_path = ("/Users/Me/QA/Project/Documents/#{document_name}")
File.new ("/Users/Me/QA/Project/Documents/#{document_name}") # => File is created

filename_field.send_keys :tab # => To Trigger event but where error occurs
filename_field = browser.file_field(:name, 'file') declared in a module elsewhere.
As far as I can tell, I have provided an absolute path for the filename to upload the file but when the tab key is sent, an error occurs of:
Selenium::WebDriver::Error::UnknownError: unknown error: path is not absolute:
With an odd squiggly symbol in RubyMine that I've never seen before. Any ideas?
Update:
I added
puts filename_field.value
# => C:\fakepath\TestDoc
Spoke to one of the developers and she said "Browser does it to fake things out, so the filesystem isn't exposed". Not sure if that helps solve my issue or I'm SOL?
That error comes from Chromedriver, and comes from sending an incorrect path string to a file element. Since :tab is not a path, it is correctly raising an error.
You shouldn't need to send a tab; just sending the path of the file should accomplish what you need.
I see many small strange things in your code.
Why
document_path = ("/Users/Me/QA/Project/Documents/#{document_name}")
Not
document_path = "/Users/Me/QA/Project/Documents/#{document_name}"
Why
filename_field.send_keys("#{document_path}")
Not
filename_field.send_keys(document_path)
But the main question is why you are using send_keys instead of set?
I failed to reproduce your problem. Maybe it will be possible if you will provide your html. But i suggest you to try:
filename_field.set(document_path)
Because you can easily check it even with irb send_keys is acting differently in firefox and in chrome for example. So maybe problem with it.
Another suggestion
That is a much more weak idea. But...
Try to clear value before changing it. You can do it with javascript:
b.execute_script("arguments[0].value=''", field)
I had the same issue with Chromedriver 2.26.436421 and it was solved when I removed the code which was sending the tab key.
With previous Chromedriver sending tab key was required to trigger the change event on the file input but with latest one it seems like it is only causing issues and the change event gets triggered without it.
I am a meteor newbie. I am trying out by building a simple app and it does nothing but shows list of items. I first tried out with hard coded model values in my client javascript code and it worked just fine. I then created a folder called 'model' under root of the application and created the model there like the following
Favorites = new Meteor.collection("favorites")
with this change, meteor throws exception pointing to this line of the file on load. If I move this code to client the code works ofcourse that is wrong. The full code is # https://github.com/ksunair/13favs It is a very simple solution has few files and less than 20 or 30 lines altogether. My client code is,
Template.favorites_main.helper({
favorites:Favorites
});
I did the following in order to clear your app of errors:
Favorites = new Meteor.Collection("favorites"); (Collection starts with a capital C)
I moved model/mainmodel.js to lib/mainmodel.js so Favorites would be available as soon as the template rendered. I always put my models under lib (or in a subdirectory) so they will be loaded first. This contradicts what I see in other places including discover meteor, so I'm unclear what the best practice is. In any case, it fixed the problem.
$ meteor add accounts-ui was needed because you referenced Accounts.ui.config.
You need to actually do a find in your favorites_main template. So it should look something like:
Template.favorites_main.helpers({
favorites: Favorites.find();
});
I am trying to work with browseForOpenMultiple function inside Flex, sdk 3.5, I am trying to figure out a bug. The browseForOpenMultiple does not crash everytime, but it seems as though I can upload a file once, but when I go to upload a second file, it crashes when the browseForOpenMultiple function is called. Anyone have any ideas about possible causes?
Update:
private function browseForFiles():void
{
fileBrowser = new File();
fileBrowser.addEventListener(FileListEvent.SELECT_MULTIPLE, filesSelected);
fileBrowser.addEventListener(Event.CANCEL, fileSelectionCancelled);
fileBrowser.browseForOpenMultiple("Select Desired Media File(s)", [(mode == "Media")? MediaTypes.getFileFilter() : MediaTypes.getVideoFilter()]);
}
So the code in our array of file extensions was crashing when there were over 60 items listed in an array that gets converted into a string for the FileFilter. This may not be an Adobe limit, but I wanted to make mention that the crash is fixed, so that others who may be encountering issues with browseForOpenMultiple will know what the issue was for this problem. This is not code that I originally wrote, so I will check into it for more clues, but for the time being, too many array items being joined together into a string for FileFilter object caused the crash.
It could be how it's construct the File, without a real file reference.
Try something like this :
var fileBrowser = File.desktopDirectory
I created a javascript file TTW for a quick fix to something i was working with, and when i went to the portal_javascripts and added it there i was met with this error upon saving:
Exception Type: CompilerError
Exception Value: Path element may not be empty in 'portal/http://www.example.com/portal_skins/cloud.js'
I get that same error every time i attempt to navigate to the portal_javascripts through the ZMI, it's obvious that I incorrectly entered the id of my file, but now I can't even fix it.
I was able to find this example of someone with a similiar issue, but I have no how to go about his fix
http://markmail.org/message/zbjhjoezz2h423yr#query:+page:1+mid:yhgjekdkwnegwqen+state:results
Try this:
http://example.com/portal_javascripts/unregisterResource?id=[your_js_resource_id]
I recently had this vague error happen to me with the use of LocalConnection.
It happened every time I tried to connect and send data to another swf.
Doing an internet search came up with little results pertaining to LocalConnection and this error and the response some people had were just ridiculous.
Apparently this error pertains to image loading and fileReference also, just not in this case.
My sending code works fine, even the event.level returned as status which means the other swf got the message, however a trace in the other swf callback function did not show, telling me the callback never triggered.
Image loading error
I got nailed on this one again with loading images.
The answer has been updated to include the fix for this also.
As it turns out the fix is simple.
The connection name was too long.
I cut the name down to 30 characters and it started working immediately.
I also want to add that if there is an error in the callback function you will get this error.
IMAGE LOADING ERROR
Well this error popped up on me again, but this time when I was loading images.
// bad code
imageObj.source = partialURL1 + partialURL2 + partialURL3;
//good code
var someURL:String = partialURL1 + partialURL2 + partialURL3
imageObj.source = someURL;
It seems you can not append the URL on the same line you assign it. Looks like a debugger bug. Even with the bad code HTTPFox was showing the images where loading, but the program would crap out somewhere after the source assignment, probably on the onloaded callback. I stopped looking into the matter when I found the source assignment fixed it.
I've had this error too, and for me the errorous code was
someobject.misspelledVariable.toString();
Where someobject was sent through a earlier localConnection and misspelledVariable is of course undefined.
Changing misspelledVariable to a correct one solved my problem. Strange error though...
