I have recently installed ignition 8.0 with demo version. In this software, I am not able to see production module under the project browser. Any idea how to enable this module.
Regards,
Dhamu
Ignition 8.0 does not contain a Module called Production. The core Modules are SQL Bridge, Perspective, Vision, Tag Historian, Reporting, OPC UA, Alarm Notification, SMS Notification, Sequential Function Charts, WebDev and Enterprise Administration. There are advanced Modules as well that I did not list. To view the installed Modules for your demo; login into the Ignition Gateway, navigate to the Configure tab and then choose Modules on the left pane under System. There one will see the License and state of each Module installed. You will have to reset your demo trial every two hours for the Modules to work.
Ignition’s site gives a good overview of Modules: https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC80/Introducing+Modules
In addition, you alluded to Production and Project. If you are looking for a Project on the Gateway. You will need to Import the Production Project to the demo Gateway. Here is a link incase you are asking that question: https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC80/Project+Export+and+Import
Please change your question if so, see comment above.

I developed an app that'll stream a rtmp video. Before I used VitamioBundle-master. I upload my app in play store it shows some warning message for upgrading my app that has to use vitamio latest version. I download it from the link shown in that alert message. Now I develop the app using vitamio 5.0.2 downloaded from the link https://www.vitamio.org/en/Download/. Once I upload the app play store shows the same alert message
Security alert
Your app utilizes a version of Vitamio, a multimedia library used for playing various types of media files, containing a security vulnerability.
Please upgrade your app(s) as soon as possible and increment the version number of the upgraded APK. Beginning 14 March 2016, Google Play will block publishing of any new apps or updates that use pre-5.0 versions of Vitamio.
The vulnerability was addressed in Vitamio v5.0. The latest versions of Vitamio can be downloaded on the Vitamio website. You can confirm your Vitamio version by checking if the SDK includes libs/armeabi-v7a/libvinit.so or libs/armeabi/libvinit.so. If either file is present, the SDK needs to be upgraded. For help upgrading, see the Vitamio support documentation. If you’re using a 3rd party library that bundles Vitamio, please notify the 3rd party and work with them to address this.
To confirm you’ve upgraded correctly, submit the updated version to the Developer Console and check back after five hours. If the app hasn’t been correctly upgraded, we will display a warning.
The vulnerability is due to the Vitamio SDK containing world-writable code. For more information about the vulnerability, please see this NowSecure blog post. For other technical questions, you can post to Stack Overflow and use the tags “android-security” and “vitamio.”
While these specific issues may not affect every app that uses Vitamio, it’s best to stay up to date on all security patches. Apps with vulnerabilities that expose users to risk of compromise may be considered in violation of our Malicious Behavior policy and section 4.4 of the Developer Distribution Agreement.
Apps must also comply with the Developer Distribution Agreement and Developer Program Policies. If you feel we have sent this warning in error, contact our policy support team through the Google Play Developer Help Center.
I gone through several solutions mentioned in different tutorial but not yet get a clear idea. Can anyone tell me the step by step procedure for updating my vitamio sdk version, or else is there any other lib for streaming rtmp video in my Android app?
Unfortunately, Vitamio 5.0.2 added back the old libvinit.so file, so it gets flagged as an old version of Vitamio. You can just delete libvinit.so and it should work.
I am debugging some network issues in a desktop application that makes requests to a service using RestSharp. The actual problem is failing authentication to the service in some limited scenarios, although that is really not relevant to my question.
I have been using Fiddler4 but that has not helped. I wondered if the network tool in Visual Studio 2015 might give some other light on the problem.
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/visualstudio/2015/05/04/introducing-visual-studios-network-tool/
However, when I start the performance profiler the Network tool is grayed out and in the list of 'Not Applicable Tools' (incidentally my menu structure is somewhat different to the screen shot shown in the link above.)I wondered if my Professional Edition does not have the tool enabled, but research on the Microsoft site does not seem to give any information about that. The word 'network' does not appear on this page
https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/compare/
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to access the network diagnostic tool to monitor my application ?
At the moment, the tool only works with the WinRT client. Is that what you are using?
Referring to the comment at the link you provided:
Operations made using the old .NET HttpClient API aren’t captured.
I am a developer. I want to learn Adobe Experience Manager. That's why I need to setup it locally to start learning. But I can't because I have not found any link to download AEM quickstart jar file. Can anyone help me on this?
You can't download AEM like you can download WordPress or Drupal. You can try contacting Adobe on the Marketing Cloud website although I don't know what their response will be. If you attend an Adobe Training Services class for AEM you will walk away with an AEM jar and a developer's license.
In the meantime, AEM is based off a lot of open source technology. You can download and learn Apache Sling, Apache Jackrabbit and Apache Felix.
You will need to get with an Adobe sales person to get a trial/demo version of Adobe Experience Manager. Use phone number on the bottom of the AEM page on the Adobe site: http://www.adobe.com/products/request-consultation/marketing-cloud.html?s_osc=70114000002JNwKAAW&s_iid=70114000002JHs3AAG
Please have a look at same kind of Questions on Adobe AEM Forums:

I hope this will help you.

If you're working for an organisation that has AEM licenses available (a client or a partner of Adobe's), you can find the quickstart JAR, as well as feature packs, hotfixes and service packs on the Software Distribution Portal. See https://experience.adobe.com/#/downloads/content/software-distribution/en/aem.html
You'll need an Adobe login belonging to an organisation that has access to AEM, though.
One thing that may be confusing is that you won't find every individual version available as a quickstart. There's usually a reasonably recent quickstart JAR available, and service packs that need to be installed on top of it. For example, at the time of writing, I could download cq-quickstart-6.5.8.jar. If I wanted SP 11 or SP 12, I had to install aem-service-pkg-6.5.11-1.0.zip or aem-service-pkg-6.5.12.0.zip as CRX package. There's no need to install intermediate versions. You should be fine just getting the zip with the exact SP version you want to use.
Ok, so I have a Flex application developed using Apache FB 4.14 SDK. I got it working and approved on App Store and Play Store. Now my client is looking to port the app on Windows Phone. I tried some googling but all I found is about Astoria project, which is recently dropped by Microsoft. So My question from you folks is what is the best way to port the Flex code for Windows phone with minimal efforts?
Sadly, there is currently no easy path from Flex to Windows Phone.
The road map also states no current plans to add support: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplatform/whitepapers/roadmap.html
You will have to port your game to a different engine. How much work that is, and which engine you should use, depends a lot on the nature of your app.
It also depends on if you want to make a Windows code base just for that platform, or if you want to port to something to have one code base for all mobile platforms
I have an ASP.NET web application where a portion of it needs to run in a web browser as a public facing terminal.
Essentially it is used to capture anonymous user feedback (wizard control on a .aspx) in a commercial location such as a shop.
An administrator will login and prep the application for 'terminal' mode.
The terminal is a normal PC with keyboard and/or mouse like device.
I would like to prevent users from:
Viewing the browser menu's, pushing back button and/or entering a different URI in the URL and also disallow keyboard shortcuts from bypassing the intended looping functionality of the application that is running?
Which browser is best suited for its ability to disable functionality as mentioned? The app runs on IE/FF/Chrome/Opera/Safari.
HOW would one go about configuring the machine and/or browser so it is locked to prevent unauthorized/unintended use?
On a side note, I guess the web application session needs to have an unlimited timeout?
Thanks for your input!
EDITED: I am leaving the question as unanswered for now... I would like to see responses that highlight possible options for the other browsers as well.
You can run Internet Explorer in Kiosk mode.
Please see this MS KB article.
Simply put, start Internet Explorer with the -k argument
There seems to be some commercial products available also, like this.
Try How to use Kiosk Mode in Microsoft Internet Explorer
Also, there are many Kiosk tools to assist in locking down a machine. Example: http://www.thekioskstore.com/index.php/software/kiosk-lock-down
Firefox has at least two plugins (and possibly many more):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1659
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/509
It is also possible to lock down KDE and GNOME (GNOME at least has a built in tool), which you can also use to lock down the rest of the system. I suggest installing Ubuntu if the web app is running on another system.
If you have to use MS Windows, check out: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/sharedaccess/seeit/internetcafe.mspx.
You can use an opensource Linux distribution designed for this very purpose, http://webconverger.com/
