HERE API - Place ID - here-api

Can I save the place ID from Here Places API, for an indefinite period of time? I tried searching the policy, but coudn't able to find the solution. We will appreciate your help.

Places data is subjected to change whenever any details of the place is modified(like website, location, phone number etc.) So there is no fool-proof way to rely on the old api output for an indefinite period of time.

Using LinkedIn API to retrieve advertising reports

I'm working on a simple app to programmatically retrieve ads performance within Linkedin. I have general API experience but this is the first time i get my feet wet with the Linkedin API.
One example from Linkedin API documentation suggest something that would get me started:
GET https://api.linkedin.com/v2/adAnalyticsV2?q=analytics&dateRange.start.month=1&dateRange.start.day=1&dateRange.start.year=2016&timeGranularity=MONTHLY&pivot=CREATIVE&campaigns=urn:li:sponsoredCampaign:112466001
I am encountering two problems:
First this example implies that you already know the campaign ID. However I am unable to find a way to retrieve a list of campaign ID's for a given account.
Second, if I manually pull a campaign ID, I receive an error: "{"serviceErrorCode":2,"message":"Too many fields requested. Maximum possible fields to request: 20","status":400}". Pretty clear error.
A little research tells me that by adding the parameter "&fields=" I will be able to limit my query to less than 20 field (I really need only a dozen anyway) but I can't find and documentation regarding the names of the fields available.
Any help or pointer will be appreciated.
please refer the link below scroll down where you ill see the field names mentioned as metrics , these are the fields.

Wondering how to achieve this (sharing WP page via email and tracking it)

So the following which I'm writing is just to discuss whether something like this is even possible or if any of you would have any better ideas/suggestions or understanding how this might work. I thank anyone who takes time to read this in advance and I hope I don't explain myself too incoherently:
Let's say I have a page in WordPress which has a little bit of text and a video. Basicly I would like to share that page's link or I'd want to forward that page via e-mail to a certain group of people (let's say 10-50 specifically chosen people) and I want to track who of them opened the link and for how long they were on the page or watched the video.
I would like to make this happen in a way that I wouldn't have to make 50 different pages or 50 different URLs for each person (or 50 different tracking strings for that matter). Or that I wouldn't have to take a newsletter-mailer type page in between this process.
Basicly, I would like to make the sharing/forwarding and analytics overview process as easy as possible, so that an admin or moderator wouldn't have to check too many different pages to get the info.
I really appreciate any and all feedback.
[Also really sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. Please feel free to redirect me to a corresponding slot].
Technically, Google Analytics isn't meant to be used to track this specifically- it's typically meant to track groups of anonymized users. That being said, it is capable of doing this (but may not be as automated as you had hoped).
You are correct in thinking that you'd either need to duplicate the pages or create multiple different campaign URLs.
The other thing to keep in mind is that as emails are forwarded, there is no way to update the URL after the email has been sent, so if you email me and I forward it to someone else who clicks through, you're going to think someone else is me.
One way around this would be if you know your users IP addresses (not only is that a big "if", but it can also be spoofed), or some other uniquely identifying feature (any chance these people have signed-up through your website and have actual user IDs? That'd make things infinitely easier!).
Maybe you could customize the email to add their email address as a query string? That could still require a lot of work (and you couldn't just share a single link).
Now, you can not store personally identifiable info in GA (including IP and email addresses), but at the server-level you could assign a custom dimension with a uniquely generated ID and send that to GA. Now you've got all the info you need!
Unfortunately this method only works if you can detect some kind of "fingerprint" of your users.
Unfortunately what you described isn't quite what Google Analytics was designed to do. If you wanted to get into detailed user-specific tracking, I'd advise you look into a CRM. Those systems are designed specifically for user tracking as you described.
Hope that gets you pointed in the right direction.

Scrape all google search result for a specific name

I think the question has been answered here before, but i could not find the desired topic.I am a newbie in web scraping.I have to develop a script that will take all the google search result for a specific name. Then it will grab the related data against that name and if there is found more than one,the data will be grouped according to their names.
All I know is that, google has some kind of restriction on scraping. They provide a custom search api.I still did not use that api,but hoping to get all the resulted links corresponding to a query from that api. But, could not understand what will be the ideal process to do the scraping of the information from that links.Any tutorial link or suggestion is very much appreciated.
You should have provided a bit more what you have been doing, it does not sound like you even tried to solve it yourself.
Anyway, if you are still on it:
You can scrape Google through two ways, one is allowed one is not allowed.
a) Use their API, you can get around 2k results a day.
You can up it to around 3k a day for 2000 USD/year. You can up it more by getting in contact with them directly.
You will not be able to get accurate ranking positions from this method, if you only need a lower number of requests and are mainly interested in getting some websites according to a keyword that's the choice.
Starting point would be here: https://code.google.com/apis/console/
b) You can scrape the real search results
That's the only way to get the true ranking positions, for SEO purposes or to track website positions. Also it allows to get a large amount of results, if done right.
You can Google for code, the most advanced free (PHP) code I know is at http://scraping.compunect.com
However, there are other projects and code snippets.
You can start off at 300-500 requests per day and this can be multiplied by multiple IPs. Look at the linked article if you want to go that route, it explains it in more details and is quite accurate.
That said, if you choose route b) you break Googles terms, so either do not accept them or make sure you are not detected. If Google detects you, your script will be banned by IP/captcha. Not getting detected should be a priority.

want to show country flag with visitor count asp.net

in my asp.net form i want to show country flag along with current visitor count. when user visit our site from USA then USA flag count will be increase by one and when the same user close his browser or go to another site then count will be decrease. please give me the best logic to show current visitor count country wise along with country flag. need help. thanks
The biggest problem here is this - you can't rely on the event of closing the browser.
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/58835/Window-Close-Event-of-Browser
However, you can try to get at least approximate results. In the article above you see how to react on these events. I'd use ajax to communicate with the server to increment/decrement the values as needed, updating the relevant parts of the page in the process. For storage, you can use database to store these values for instance.
Look here for more info on ajax with jquery in asp.net: http://www.simple-talk.com/dotnet/asp.net/ajax-basics-with-jquery-in-asp.net/ If it isn't enough for you, use google, there are plenty resources out there waiting for you.

Tracking other websites' users (Analytics)

I was wondering if there was any (legal) way to track websites analytics of any random site.
What I mean is simple, is there a way to actually know how many people enter Google a month?
I read around and found that Alexa extrapolates data from users with their toolbar and some cookies, im not interested in that, I mean a true measurement.
Where would you have to start if you wanted to write something like this?
I guess this is no possible but I canĀ“t really understand why, are there any illegal ways of doing this?

Nope, there is no way to do that. That's why Alexa needs to rely on extrapolation.
You'll have to rely on what the sites tell you.
Some commercial sites use services like Nielsen that keep an "official" visitor count on whose basis advertising prices are calculated, but this is not the rule.
