Limit Projects in Firebase - firebase

I am a user of Firebase Google today I was creating a project in the console of Firebase and the following message appeared: You're 2 projects away from the project limit. I was kind of worried about that and scheduled the deletion of several projects from Google Cloud Plataform Later I returned to the console and the projects I erased disappeared but when creating a project the message is still there. My questions are: How many projects can I have in the free Firebase plan? When deleting the project the count and restarted or not?

When you delete a project, it's not fully deleted until after 30 days. You should have received an email notification about that. Until it's finally deleted, it will still count against your max.
The project limit might be different for each individual Google account. In general, if you're having problem with the Firebase console, contact Firebase support directly.

Log errors from app on Google Play using Crashlytics

Probably silly question, but is it possible to send errors using Crashlytics from users that downloaded my app from Google Play? Until now I was using Crashlytics to collect errors from my app distributed by Firebase (so it was only for me and invited people). But I have released my app on Google Play and I can't see any errors from devices that downloaded my app in Google Play. I read that when I link my Google app with Firebase I can see purchase and subscription and analytics but no mention of Crashlytics. So my question is.. Is it even possible? Thank you very much.
Is the package name the same on your "release" version on the store? If your test one was called com.patrik.coolapp.debug (which is the default if you're using a debug build) then you'll need to add com.patrik.coolapp as an App in your Project in the Firebase console.
If you already had Crashlytics set up (all the dependencies, added the plugin, FirebaseCrashlytics.getInstance().setCrashlyticsCollectionEnabled(true) somewhere in your app) then it should just work - here's some advice on testing:
https://firebase.google.com/docs/crashlytics/test-implementation?platform=android
So I finally made it..
I'd like to thanks to #cactustictacs for help.
The problem was that I did not integrate Google Play in project settings in Firebase, although it is saying that it is just for Analytics and Subscription.
Before I integrated Google Play in Firebase I tried to add FirebaseCrashlytics.getInstance().setCrashlyticsCollectionEnabled(true) .. it did not work, but I believe it could be usefull to someone.
It wouldn't be such a problem, but it is required to have Owner or Admin permissions on both Firebase account and Google Play console account (which I did not have). After I get the permissions, integration was enabled and I could see test crashes in Crashlytics.

Can not initialize existing firebase project from CLI because it tells me I do not have firestore enabled

I am using firebase CLI to initialize a local firebase project directory from an existing firebase project. This existing project does have firestore with 100% certainty (there is tonnes of data in it). It is definitely firestore and not real time db.
I am running..
firebase init firestore
Then I pick the existing project from the list, and I get...
Error: It looks like you haven't used Cloud Firestore in this project before. Go to https://console.firebase.google.com/project/some-project/firestore to create your Cloud Firestore database.
Is there potentially a permission issue here?
I came here looking for the answer to this question and whilst your issue may be different, I found that I had no default resource location set for my firebase project.
In the firebase console go to cog icon > project settings > general. the fourth option down is 'Default GCP resource location'. This was not set, so editing it (pencil icon) and clicking done (There was only one option for me) fixed the issue.

Cannot access Firebase Storage after creating storage bucket in GCP Console

I noticed that Firebase wouldn't let me create a storage bucket asia-southeast1 so I upgraded my plan to blaze, went to the GCP console and created a bucket from there.
I did the same for Firestore and it's working fine.
However, after I created the storage bucket in GCP, and I came back to the Firebase console to access Firebase Cloud Storage, I keep receiving this error.
I don't see how creating a bucket in the GCP console may affect your Firebase project (unless you created a bucket named <your-project-name>.appspot.com).
These kinds of errors normally happen when a certain quota has been reached, and is usually solved by upgrading your project to a paid plan.
As you have already upgraded your project, please bear into account that billing updates usually take some time to be processed. Waiting a few hours, or maybe checking the next day whether your project has been successfully upgraded should do the trick.
If that does not help, verify whether you have actually upgraded your project - You can check that here. The Blaze Plan button should be grayed out with the message Current Plan.
The answer provided to this question may also be of help:
Try to activate this feature using an incognito window/private window
and disable all browser extensions
Try using a different browser (and make sure browser is supported)
Verify if there are any other programs that might be blocking your
connection such as antivirus, proxy or firewall. If yes, try to
disable them.
Connect using a different network.
Connect using a different device.
Check the Developer Tools Console for any errors.
For Safari: Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Check "Show Develop menu
in menu bar" Develop > Show Web Inspector > Console Tab
If none of these approaches work for you, consider contacting Firebase Support here.
I fixed mine by using the command to work on it using
firebase init storage
This would create the storage after that it would add a storage.rule in which you can update to your liking in your project .
Then you run this command
firebase deploy --only storage
This would initialize the Storage
If you are still having issues check out this link https://stackoverflow.com/a/74750337 which was also provided by firebase for me to fix the error

403 when using firebase API to create a project (As an owner user, not a service account)

I am trying to create a firebase project using the api. The document for this is here: https://firebase.google.com/docs/projects/api/reference/rest/v1beta1/projects/addFirebase
I have created a GCP project already and I am the owner of this project. I can see my project in a request to:
https://firebase.google.com/docs/projects/api/reference/rest/v1beta1/availableProjects/list . It has a project id of: projects/my-project-id-here
I am making the requests as a owner of the GCP project user account (I am not using a service account!) using Google OAuth 2.0 with the correct scopes (You can try it in the documentation), but I am receiving a response of:
{
"error": {
"code": 403,
"message": "The caller does not have permission",
"status": "PERMISSION_DENIED"
}
}
I can create firebase project fine If I go to firebase website directly and create the project there.
Google take 30 days to delete my test projects, so I am restricted to how many times I can try to get this right from scratch. Therefore I am also interested to know how you fully unlink firebase from a GCP project without deleting that project. Removing the service account and disabling the APIs from GCP console doesn't seem to do the trick.
Finally, I do not know if it is relevant but I also have the same user account setup with a developer account on google play and the GCP project is linked up for API access it's created service account granted access. I don't think this is relevant though, as my understanding is that I can setup a firebase project without this.
Hope someone can help!
I've found the solution to this. You cannot use the firebase API to create a firebase project unless you've first accepted the terms and conditions which aren't shown to you until you're in a firebase project (go figure).
Anyway here are some clear steps:
Create a firebase project through the website
Open the firebase project
Accept the terms and conditions for firebase use
Delete the firebase project and enjoy the API now working.
Regarding your interest in removing firebase from a project, this is not supported. The best course of action is to undo the changes that were made when firebase was added, namely disabling the firebase APIs, removing oauth client/brand, removing API keys etc, which you have already done, and it’s the closest thing to deleting the project.

Firebase back-up

I use Firebase for an Android project and I have some data into a database. I want to know if there is any possibility to save/make a back up to the structure of data. I ask this because somehow, I deleted the project and I had to do all again.
If you just deleted your project, you may still be able to restore it from the Resources pending deletion page in the Google Cloud Platform console with the process shown here.
If that doesn't work, reach out to Firebase support to see if they can help you recover it.
Note that both of these are dependent on the time that has passed since you deleted the project, so time is of the essence.
