I have installed Nagios Core 4.2.4 with Thruk integrated in it.I am trying to use the availability report feature in thruk through cli.Is there any API query I can use for that? Any help would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance.
There are a few kinds of different reports in Thruk.
if you are talking about the sla reports from the reports plugin, you have to create the report in the webui first, you can then trigger the report from the cli by thruk report .... Thats the menu item Reporting.
if you are talking about the Availability menu item, then you can simply create that report from the command line because every page in thruk can be triggered from cli. Simply run thruk url to get a few examples.

Do we have any opensource or any proven code which collects the App Dynamics reports from App Dynamics Servers ?
Generally the workflow for sending reports from AppDynamics is as follows:
Create a Custom Dashboard - https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO21/Custom+Dashboards
Add Widgets to your Dashboard containing the tables, charts etc that you want to see in your report - https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO21/Widgets
Now you can send a report (one-off or scheduled) by configuring a report based off the Dashboard you have created, including setting the time range of the report - https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO21/Reports
Note: There is a sample custom dashboard .json available here to get you started: https://community.appdynamics.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Sample-Custom-Dashboard-for-Business-Transaction-Report/ta-p/21264
Note: There are already many "Standard Reports" which could make things easier depending on use case.
Note: If you instead want to export data and then analyse with your own tooling, then see the docs on Public API's available here: https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO21/AppDynamics+APIs
I want to create a custom report. Response format for sonarqube web service API /api/issues/search is JSON or XML. How can I use that response to create a html or CSV file using "unix shell without using command line tools" so that I can use it as a Report. Or is there any other better way to achieve this?
you can generate a html file if you run an analysis in the preview mode http://docs.sonarqube.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=6947686
It looks as if the SonarQube team has been working hard to not allow people to do this. They appear to want people to purchase an Enterprise Subscription in order to export reports.
An old version of sonar-runner (now called sonar-scanner) had an option to allow local report output. But that feature is "no more supported".
ERROR: The preview mode, along with the 'sonar.analysis.mode' parameter, is no more supported. You should stop using this parameter.
Looks like version 2.4 of Sonar Runner does what you want. If you can find it. Of course they only have 2.5RC1 available on the site now.
Using the following command should work on version 2.4:
sonar-runner -Dsonar.analysis.mode=preview -Dsonar.issuesReport.html.enable=true
There at least two open-source projects that query the SQ API to generate reports in various formats.
https://github.com/cnescatlab/sonar-cnes-report/tree/dev (Java)
https://github.com/soprasteria/sonar-report (JavaScript/Node)
At the time of writing both are active.
Some SSRS Reports are not working in CRM 2011 but other ssrs reports are working fine.
Used filtered views in the Query and ran the report with system Administrator role. It is showing no data available but when tried to run in BIDS it is working and also in Report Manager.
Any idea on this issue, Friends. Please suggest some solution if you have any. Thanks!
Are you use pre-filtering ? When you run report from CRM, default filter is set to records was created in last 30 days (when you use pre-filtering). Maybe your records are olrder than 30 days and in SQL are visible but not in CRM. Try to change filter during run report.
you need to use shared data source. Just click on your current Data Source and convert to Shared one as below. So instead of embedded, select 'Use Shared datasource reference' and make your connection via windows authentication. This was the way which helped me to show data within CRM!
I am running the Quartz.Net server as a Windows service, like described in the documentation. I am trying to understand how I can create new jobs for Quartz to schedule, without the need to rebuild the Quaretz.net server application everytime.
I would like to be able to add new jobs from an exe, dll, or other options welcome. This way I can add jobs dynamically. From what I can tell it seems all jobs must be defined up front and built into the server. From there the user can pass parameters and enable triggers via XML file. I am using MS SQL Server instead of XML file for persistence layer.
My use case is I need to generate reports at particular times, but the users can create new reports after launch of my application. I am using Dev Express for my reporting (not sure if this matters).
Any guidance is very appreciated.
You should check out the work Tolis Bekiaris did on the eXpand Framework's JobScheduler. It's a module for DevExpress's XAF and Quartz.NET which should give you plenty of sample code, especially if you are already using XPO for your data.
You can get the source code here.
Or alternatively, it's on Github.
You'll find the job scheduler code in eXpand/Xpand/Xpand.ExpressApp.Modules/JobScheduler.
I'm currently working on a project to implement a BI solution. I chose Pentaho
There are many tools to create:
reports (report designer)
adhoc reports (WAHQR ou PIR)
Dashboard (dashboard designer or CDE)
Analyze (analyzer or saiku)
(in big the one I'll use)
The question is, which tool is used by the final user (non technic) and which by the technician/developer?
And which of these tools create report/dashboard that can be executed repeatedly with a scheduler / just one time on demand?
thks for your help
Developer : All
User : SAIKU
Reports generated by Pentaho Report Dssigner could be excuted by scheduler. This is also able to be executed by scheduler using kitchen using Pentaho Reporting Output step.
