Atom : open files from different location with single click - atom-editor

Is there any way to open selected files from different folders (apache/httpd/conf, apache/httpd/logs, magento/var/log) as if they are a single project ? Should be able to close them with single button, and open with single button.
I tried couple of packages, but none found useful.
Basically am looking for functionality to open and close multiple files, whether its available as a project or multiple tab or multiple files.

RoboHelp is missing ouput preset for CHM generation

Adobe RoboHelp 2020 Trial Version:
The list of available output presets is also missing Responsive HTML5, and Mobile App.
I did have a problem with the PDF output geneation. Error message advised to install Java runtime, as it was missing. After Java installation, PDF genearated. But its bookmarks did not work at all.
I have worked laboriously at learning how to use the RoboHelp; and also took several days to create my project. I desperately need to generate CHM output for a Windows program that I developed. I was devastated when I finally went to generate CHM output/Microsoft HTML Help, it was not on thelist of presets.
That said, I am at wits end, having searched for potential solutions. Can someone please suggest a solution?
Also the Adobe RoboHelp 2020 Trial Version contains the functionality to generate CHM help files.
To add and output the Microsoft HTML Help (CHM) in your presets, click the + icon in the Outputs panel as shown in the screenshot below.
Select Type Microsoft HTML Help
Enter a short Name like CHM
After that it is available for permanent use, e.g. in the Quick Generate window.
I updated RH 2020.
I selected the Microsoft HTML Help preset
I configured the preset: I selected the TOC file. I specified the output folder, which is on a different drive than the project folder. (I knew that it could not be in the location whose parent folder was the project folder.)
Then I clicked the command button to generate the CHM. The progress display continuously indicated the various task that were being performed during the generation process.
Ultimately, I clicked the View Output button. The program displayed an error message indicating that the CHM filed could not be opened. I checked the output designation folder; and, the file existed. However, it was only 1 KB. I double-clicked the CHM file; but, the same error message appeared as when I attempted to open the file from within RoboHelp.
As an aside, I tried he same process with RoboHelp’s sample project, i.e., Compass Travel. And, wouldn’t you know it? The CHM file did properly generate and display; even the bookmarks functioned as expected.
That said, I had mentioned in the original post that I had generated a PDF output. But, the bookmarks did not worked.
Clarification:
The H 1 bookmarks display. However, clicking anyone of the them results in nothing. Whereas most of the H 1 folders have several H 2 subfolders; and there existed two H-3 level items.

How to extract infos in a .db file to create .csv or any viable "bookmark" file?

I am using a quite unknown bookmark manager on Android. I picked this one after trying others because it was possible to import, export, classify by folders, the design was good and it was easy to search in my bookmarks.
After importing all my bookmarks from other browsers and also from files, I started classifying all of them into folders, subfolders, etc..
I spent many days to classify them all as I wanted.
After classifying them, I tried to export them.
The problem is that the only option offered is to export them in a .html file, containing all the bookmarks but without any folder.
The .html file contains all my bookmarks but in complete desorder, and doesnt mention the folders.
In the app there was also a "backup" function, so I tried and it creates a .db file.
I opened this .db file with some SQLiteViewer app and I found written inside, among other things I dont understand, a list of all my bookmarks with a number next to each one of them, and also a list of my folders with next to them the corresponding number.
When I open the .db file, I have a choice between
-SQlite master
-android metadata
-bookmarks
-folders
-sqlite sequence
If I click on "Bookmarks", all my bookmarks are in a kind of spreadsheet with lines and columns. Next to them in another columns, for example for each bookmark related with "Kitchen recipes" it's written the number 1.
And in the "Folders" folder, next to the folder called "Recipes" its also written 1.
So I'm happy because it seems that my classification is stored in this file.
But the fact is I dont know how to extract easily all that data, and create with it a "bookmark" file importable in other bookmark app or browser ( for example .csv or .xbel or .html but with folders)
I guess I need some "script" working like this:
if the first raw in "Folders" got the number 8 next to it
Then take all the bookmarks in the "bookmarks" folder that also got an 8 written next to it, and put it inside this folder.
I'm a complete noob in coding, I dont know what is SQlite, nor anything.
So i know that maybe I am asking for too much informations at the same time.
But if some kind person could put me in the way, by explaining me if
thats possible
what would be the easiest way
if some solution already exist
if someone like me can do it and what do I have to learn if I want some day to be able to do it
Thanks
Here's pictures so you understand easier:

Can a 'linked'-file be renamed programatically via an Extension

I've written an Extension that, among many other things, renames files based on the Types they contain.
This works fine for files in the directory-tree under the csproj-file -- I find the ProjectItem entry for the file and change its name.
For 'linked'-files (those not in the directory-tree) I can rename the file (via File.Move()) but haven't found a way to programatically modify the csproj-file (after the rename the csproj-file has to be modified manually).
If this is something that can be done I'd appreciate a pointer to the docs showing how to implement the functionality.
The easiest solution for me was to modify the csproj-file.
Open, read whole file, close.
Verify that file I want to rename (e.g. xxx.cs) only occurs in 1 directory
(if it occurs in multiple directories the change has to be done manually.)
Make change
Open, write whole file, close
For an SDK project the change is applied immediately.
For a non-SDK project the change is applied after responding to the prompt that the csproj-file has been modified.

Ado Brackets Efficient File Finder

Is there anyway Adobe Brackets Editor find a file as fast as typing a filename and avoid going through the sidebar? Much like finding a text with ctrl-f?
As others have mentioned – use Navigate > Quick Open, which you can also access via the shortcut Ctrl-Shift-O.
Quick Open is very powerful: you can type just an abbreviation or parts of a filename to find it with less typing. For example, typing "fbu" or "fooutil" will find "FooBarUtils.js".
Edit:
to answer the question about scope... Quick Open searches in your entire project. Brackets treats the root folder you have open (the root of the folder tree you see at left) as your project. To choose a folder, choose File > Open Folder.
There's no way to restrict Quick Open to just a subfolder within that project, but you can type part of a folder name and Quick Open will factor that into the search results. For example, typing "foo/bar" or even "fbar" will list "foo/bar.js" or "foo/xyz/bar.js" higher in the results. This is useful if you have many files with similar names within your project.

Automatically select a submenu in excel

I'm trying to automate some excel processing. With autoit I open several Excel with an add-in. This add-in is used to update data in this excel.
In autoit I managed to open the excel files with the add-in but now I need to select the menuitem to update the excel automatically. I don't have any clue howto do this in autoit3.
I can't find any tutorials or manual howto do this.
It sounds like you would be better off with an Excel macro instead. If you click "tools>macros>record new macro" and set the name of that auto_open then select the cells you want to update and update them and then stop recording, you will have a macro that refreshes the cells every time you open them. If you want a separate file that refreshes all the files you can make a new spreadsheet and start recording and use file open to have opening (or closing) a spread sheet included in the code. Don't forget to have that macro save too.
PS- If you need to open the file without the macro running you need to open excel first then hold shift when you open the file using the "file>open" path.
If you know the keystroke(s) for the menu command, you can use the AutoIt Send function.
For example, the Save function in Excel is CTRL+s.
In AutoIt, that would be:
Send("^s")
I see from your other question on StackOverflow that you are using the ExcelCOM library. You must realize that the MenuItem you are trying to click does some operation on the underlying code in the same way as the ExcelCOM library.
The best solution for your problem is to find out which methods the MenuItem calls, and then reproduce the same behavior with the ExcelCOM library. What you mean by "Update the excel automatically" I don't understand, otherwise I would have found out how to reproduce the behavior by ExcelCOM for you.
If you're using excel 2007 (I am not sure about earlier versions) and higher there is a combination of letters you can use in queue to call (probably) every menu option you want. When you have the excel open - press and release Alt button and you will see letters below main menu options, like in the picture, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v479/vaeryn/Excel1_zps98c2f450.png Then letter by letter you may dig down the menu option you wish.
