BizTalk 2016 Install fails on group creation - biztalk

I've tried following the directions for a stand along BizTalk install on multiple Windows 10 machines, but it always fails on group creation. I've run the BizTalk 2016 Configuration as administrator as well. Firewall is completely off and SQL Server 2016 is loaded locally on the machine.
Any thoughts as to how to get around this?

We had the same issue after doing a clean install on an environment having the latest MS patches.
After making sure neither DTC nor other knowns issues exist, had to dig deeper.
What made the configuration wizard succeed was to edit the BTSWMISchema.mof found in \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2016\Bins32\
Look at the post from Colin Dijkgraaf at https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/2d08c395-1550-4171-8c03-23e1d2a9afbc/microsoft-security-updates-cause-biztalk-admin-console-errors-an-internal-failure-occurred-for?forum=biztalkgeneral
where he describes the steps to edit and recompile the mof file.
Reboot the server and run configuration.exe again.
This is probably not "by-the-book-method" but it worked for us.

EDIT: nslookup
Server: 10.139.1.1
Address: 10.139.1.1#53
** server can't find _net._tcp.dev.golem.network: NOTIMP
I'm not sure what is the reason here, but it seems like DNS is not able to resolve _net._tcp.dev.golem.network SRV record yielding 'Not Implemented'. It is very odd, since Yagna is using Google's DNS servers as a default.
When you face this again pls try to check output of following command
nslookup -q=SRV _net._tcp.dev.golem.network 8.8.8.8
The user has trouble reaching Google's DNS with nslookup, so it appears to be something on his end. He is also using a proxy for his connection, so it must happen somewhere in there. Closing thread.

Where the #-#{} pieces seems to be "on top of" the typical log.
I faced the same problem. In my case the problem was that I removed the google_gcloud_default connection that was being used to retrieve the logs.
Check the configuration and look for the connection name.
[core]
remote_log_conn_id = google_cloud_default
Then check the credentials used for that connection name has the right permissions to access the GCS bucket.
I'm having a similar problem with viewing logs in GCP Cloud Composer. It doesn't appear to be preventing the failing DAG task from running though. What it looks like is a permissions error between the GKE and Storage Bucket where the log files are kept.
You can still view the logs by going into your cluster's storage bucket in the same directory as your /dags folder where you should also see a logs/ folder.
Your helm chart should setup global env:
- name: AIRFLOW_CONN_GOOGLE_CLOUD_DEFAULT
value: "google-cloud-platform://"
Then, you should deploy a Dockerfile with root account only (not airflow account), additionaly, you set up your helm uid, gid as:
uid: 50000 #airflow user
gid: 50000 #airflow group
Then upgrade helm chart with new config
*** Unable to read remote log from gs://bucket
1)Found the solution after assigning the roles to the service account
2)The SA key(json or txt) to be added and configured to the connection in the
remote_log_conn_id = google_cloud_default
3)restart the scheduler and webserver of the airflow
4)restart the dags on the airflow
you can find the logs on the GCS bucket where its configured

I checked these things:
SQL Server machine is accessable, SQL Server is running, TCP/IP is
enabled.
The installing user have Administrators right.
MSDTC is configured on the Biztalk server machine and SQL Server machine,
using DTCPing to test the connection from server to sql server
machine is success.
SSO had been successfully configured.

Make sure the two machines have different CID:
How to check: Download and run DTCPing tool, if they are the same, you would see warning like: WARNING: the CID values for both test machines are the same.
And then you can see error during Group configuration:
Failed to configure with error message [Exception of type ‘System.EnterpriseServices.TransactionProxyException’ was thrown.]
Resolve: re-install MSDTC in one of two machines:
Run in command line:
msdtc –uninstall
shutdown -r -t 00
msdtc -install
net start msdtc
Also make sure Windows Firewall is not running, or at least not blocking MSDTC. I would turn it off entirely to rule it out, and then turn it back on and fine-tune what it is allowing if you really want Windows Firewall running.
Uninstall the BizTalk setup and re-install and then try to configure it.

Spark & SparkR Configuration on EC2 - Java Timeout

I'm trying to get Spark, and SparkR, running on a small EC2 cluster using the provided scripts and directions. Whenever I ask for an operation that would require computation on an RDD (e.g., collect(), reduce()), I get the error logged below. Workers do appear to startup correctly -- if I only parallelize, I see the workers running via the master's web ui.
The error I get is similar to the one in Intermittent Timeout Exception using Spark and I've been through all of the solutions there (modifying the conf file for URL's, disabling the firewall, etc.), no luck.
Here is the error log, thank you in advance for your help:

This was ultimately resolved by a combination of
- Updates to SparkR, which have resolved a number of serialization issues.
- Recognizing that the Spark-ec2 scripts require that the control node and master node be the same machine.
and
- Replacing calls to parallelize() with distributing and then loading the data by hadoop.
I am writing an intro to SparkR for R programmers that I hope will help people with things like this in the future.
