I'm building a Drupal website and I need to upload an image, some text and render that image with the text as overlay, maybe even a logo on top of it as well. Is there a module or a way to do this on Drupal 8?
Clarification: I need to generate a new picture and add overlay as pixel data.
Take a look at Image Effects module. According to readme it provides both - text overlay and watermark effects. If they are not sufficient for your needs you also have "ImageMagick arguments" effect, so nothing can stop you now ))

I'm making externally hosted CSS files for use by other people. I want to be able to create a small logo in the bottom left corner that links back to my page. Is this possible using just CSS? I cannot use HTML for the image/link because people can and will remove my credit.
Goal: When creating an image gallery in Wordpress 5.3.2 using the Gutenberg editor, I'd like to be able to select the image size.
Why: The block gallery automatically serves the large image and then relies on CSS to resize the image to fit the flexbox layout. Instead I'd like to choose the medium size for my site, which is closer in size to what's displayed in the layout. This will improve load times, as users aren't being served oversized images.
Question: Is there some code I can add to functions.php that will give me the option to choose the image size I want or to override the default large size for the medium size?
I understand what you're going for and unfortunately WordPress and Gutenberg still loads the full-size, original image (and just resizes it in css) :(
There are several closely-related issues that describe this

Update, 2021:
Gutenberg no longer loads the full-size, original image and you can choose which in the block's right side panel which of the registered image sizes to load;
but that image is often still larger than necessary and not fully optimized; more information at https://gist.github.com/skorasaurus/a01249d4302226bf12c80dd979322303
I'm having trouble getting Revolution Slider (version 5.2.5.3) to work properly on my website and I'm looking for some help.
For reference the test page I'm using can be located here: http://www.capidale.co.uk/home-2
The problem I'm having is the background images on each slide are "zoomed" in. All images are 960x350 and I've set the grid settings also for 960x350. However, inspecting the code, the background images appear to being assigned values of 1653x549.
I've racked my brain but I just can't get it to work. I've tried using the images as "layers" and setting the background to transparent. But then I can't get the images to display at all.
Appreciate any help. Thank you.
i have looked at the code and it says the natural values for the
Best best is to resize the images so they are 960x350 this should fix the issue if the image is zoomed still on the styling of the image set max-width:960; and max-height:350;
to save you the trouble use this image and replace the existing img, if it works then this is due to the natural sizes of the image
:D
I am new to Fireworks CS4 and keen to learn to use it right but I am having difficulty understanding the whole slicing and exporting mechanism, so that I can also use in Dreamweaver CS4.
What I have is a header banner image where I also have the name of the site to the left of this header banner.
On this same header image, I want to place two buttons (with rollover effects if possible), to the top right area of the header image, with links to another URL.
Now the things that I am unsure how to do are based on the above description are:
1) How can I make the name of the site section only, to the left of the banner as a link to a url when the user hovers over the name part only, the mouse hand turns into a pointer and gets redirected to url
2) The same goes for the two buttons that I have created as two individual symbols?
3) How can I slice the above two queries, so that I can export into Dreamweaver, so that all the required code comes across with all the desired effects, that is, when previewing in Firefox, all hovering on site name and two buttons work as required?
I am unsure how to slice it? Do I have to assign hotspots to the sections? I am unsure how to export it.
There is a slice layer in Fireworks. It is always the top layer. It lets you draw shapes over parts of your graphic, which show up in translucent green. When you click on one, you have the option of adding a URL and other parameters of a link. At that point, you have the option of exporting as sliced images, an HTML page, etc. If exported as HTML, the images will be contained in anchor tags with the URLs you gave them. Or you can just export the slices and assign the links in Dreamweaver.
I want a fusion chart in my flex app to display with a Lightbox effect like the effect you get when you click on any of the charts here or checkout the demos here
These effect have been attained with the help of javascript. How do i get the same effect via Flex? Any idea?
Thanks a lot
I built a Flex component called PopUpThumbnail that is very similar to HTML/JavaScript lightbox components.
Here's an example application that I created with it to displays Flickr images.
Add a mask over the top of the whole application with the content area in the middle and the semi alpha area around it. Clicking on the surrounding mask removes the layer, and you can interact with the content area as normal (make it look like a popup rather than actually using one...)
