How to Increase the capacity of a textbox in google app maker? - google-app-maker

I have created a database for work for a report and am in need of some help. When I try to add comments to the textboxes it gives me an error saying there is too much data. I have tried to extent the textboxes and make them as big as possible as well as played around with the "Data Validation" to give it a large amount of max characters but none of those work. Is there some other way to increase the amount of text these text boxes can hold?
(PS. I am using the text area widget not the text box widget which is supposed to be bigger but neither works)

You can adjust SQL type setting in advanced field settings:

How to read and temporarily store text from a text box on a web page

I am very new to TOSCA and I don't have a lot of help around me for it, online searches do not seem to answer my question either.
I have scanned a basket page for a website and wish to create a loop to increase the quantity of a single product, but I can't seem to be able to read the quantity already in there, only change it. Is there a way to do this?
I am fine with conditions and loops its just this part of extracting the value from the text box.
Thank you for any help you can give.
You should be able to get the value from a text box by using the action mode buffer.
Here is the according section of the manual.

Formatting text boxes in Google forms

I am using Google forms "Get Pre-filled linked" and fill out some text boxes automatically. Here is an example text-box filled out with with "pre-filled link":
Is there a way to format the text inside the textbox? For example:
- Have new lines in the text box.
- Make some parts of it bold.
An example desired output with new lines (which I have added manually; not sure how make parts of text bold):
Thoughts on how to format text for Google forms?
I was looking for the same functionality and all I can find on the google forums is "it doesn't support that."
My workaround is this: Create the formatted text in a google doc then take a screen grab with the Snippet tool (or SnagIt or whatever your favorite screen grabber is).
Save the image to your drive then add it to the form.
This seems like a ridiculous thing to have to do, but it does work.

How to create Numeric KB interface with previous, next and done button

I was on website on my iPhone and I encounter websites' guestbook. with those textFields. my keyboard appearance was totally change as you can see in screen below.
I am having many text fields in my app, I am wondering if I can create anything like that.
As I am new to development, still unknown what are the limits.
Can anyone guide me to right direction or to right documentation.
Is there is some regular way or its just total customization over Keybard.
I have one more doubt, does it matter what kind of keyboard is popping up as my all fields have numeric keyboard.
Well I just wanted to be helpful to someone who is following the same learning curve as me.
To achieve the affect in screenshot in question. UIToolbar control can be used to make those buttons. after the you need to just make this toolbar appear and disappear with the keyboard.
To make previous and next button work, you can use the tag property of textfield. on clicking on previous or next you can focus to previous or next text field.
Sorry about not posting code as I have not coded it yet but wanted to give pointer to anyone, who is looking.

Microsoft Reporting WebForms Report Viewer - Exporting to Excel

I have a report viewer that I am using to export to PDF and Excel. Sometimes some of the data in the tables is longer than a singular line.
When exported to PDF the fields that need more height are automatically given it. Yet when I export to excel it remains in the original height and doesn't grow to display all the data.
I want the cell heights to automatically grow to display all the data on screen. I have set CanGrow to true but this has no effect (apart from working when exporting to PDF).
Has anyone had this problem before and can share a resolution?
Thanks
OK, after not receiving any answers I delved in to this one myself.
It appears that text doesn't wrap in excel when the cell is a number of merged cells together.
So in the report viewer if all text areas and items aren't lined up with one another or if one is twice as long as two others then they will be placed in merged cells to make up for the crossover.
It means that the chances are these isn't a solution to the problem, unless all your text areas are identical in width or you can alter the layout so that those that require wrapping to new lines will only take up a single cell.
I done this by putting everything in a table, and knowing that if I merged any cells then text wrapping would not be possible.
I hope this will help someone out there!

DataDynamics Active Reports entering extra spaces in long email addresses

I'm using Data Dynamics Active Reports to generate some reports on our website.
Action: User runs a report on user accounts (this contains an email field) and Exports to an excel file.
Issue: If the email is relatively long, extra white space is added in the field.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Here, I found a solution to hide blank sub report space:
Add group header and footer
Check the condition
Make Group header or footer visible false/true
After some research with DataDynamics and GrapCity I found that this is a known bug they are working on Case 00023478.
To work around it I made the TextBox larger that the email fields were bound to. It's a sucky work around but it's all we have until they fix this issue.
The issue has to do with wrapped text in a texbox that forces line breaks in the excel export.
EDIT:
The better, but still sucky, workaround is to make all of your textboxes alignment "Justify". This removes all the spaces from the text on export to excel no matter what size the box, but everything is now justified...
