I'm trying to assign a tag to my users in Onesignal as soon as they accept the notification permission. The pop up shows up I click on Accept and the browser permission shows up and I click on accept on that as well. But subscriptionChange never gets triggered and no user gets added to my Onesignal. I did everything but couldn't figure it out.
const OneSignal = window.OneSignal || []
OneSignal.push(['init', {
appId: 'xxx',
autoRegister: false,
notifyButton: {
enable: false, /* Set to false to hide */
},
welcomeNotification: {
'title': 'Success',
'message': 'Thanks for subscribing!',
},
promptOptions: {
/* actionMessage limited to 90 characters */
actionMessage: 'can we?',
/* acceptButtonText limited to 15 characters */
acceptButtonText: 'ALLOW',
/* cancelButtonText limited to 15 characters */
cancelButtonText: 'NO THANKS',
},
}])
OneSignal.push(['getNotificationPermission', (permission) => {
if(permission === 'default') {
OneSignal.push(() => {
OneSignal.showHttpPrompt()
})
}
}])
OneSignal.push(() => {
// Occurs when the user's subscription changes to a new value.
OneSignal.on('subscriptionChange', (isSubscribed) => {
if(isSubscribed) {
if(userData) {
const email = getEmail()
OneSignal.sendTag('email', email)
}
}
})
})

I want to add a console panel to my html page like in the REPL page of the svelte site.
https://svelte.dev/repl/hello-world?version=3.55.1
My site was generating as a static site and copy in an ESP8266 micro controller.
I have no idea how to do that :-(
The REPL overwrites the methods of the console object to extend them.
E.g. for the methods that write messages:
['clear', 'log', 'info', 'dir', 'warn', 'error', 'table'].forEach((level) => {
const original = console[level];
console[level] = (...args) => {
const stringifiedArgs = stringify(args);
if (previous.level === level && previous.args && previous.args === stringifiedArgs) {
parent.postMessage({ action: 'console', level, duplicate: true }, '*');
} else {
previous = { level, args: stringifiedArgs };
try {
parent.postMessage({ action: 'console', level, args }, '*');
} catch (err) {
parent.postMessage({ action: 'console', level: 'unclonable' }, '*');
}
}
original(...args);
};
});

This uses postMessage to send a message event containing the logged contents, but you could use other mechanisms as well.
I'm using strapi 4 with nextjs.
In the app strapi holds music events for each user and each user should be able add and retrieve there own music events.
I am having trouble retrieving
each users music events from strapi 4
I have a custom route and custom controller
The custom route is in a file called custom-event.js and works ok it is as follows:
module.exports = {
routes: [
{
method: 'GET',
path: '/events/me',
handler: 'custom-controller.me',
config: {
me: {
auth: true,
policies: [],
middlewares: [],
}
}
},
],
}
The controller id a file called custom-controller.js and is as follows:
module.exports = createCoreController(modelUid, ({strapi }) => ({
async me(ctx) {
try {
const user = ctx.state.user;
if (!user) {
return ctx.badRequest(null, [
{messages: [{ id: 'No authorization header was found'}]}
])
}
// The line below works ok
console.log('user', user);
// The problem seems to be the line below
const data = await strapi.services.events.find({ user: user.id})
// This line does not show at all
console.log('data', data);
if (!data) {
return ctx.notFound()
}
return sanitizeEntity(data, { model: strapi.models.events })
} catch(err) {
ctx.body = err
}
}
}))
Note there are two console.logs the first console.log works it outputs the user info
The second console.log outputs the data it does not show at all. The result I get back
using insomnia is a 200 status and an empty object {}
The following line in the custom-controller.js seems to be where the problem lies it works for strapi 3 but does not seem to work for strapi 4
const data = await strapi.services.events.find({ user: user.id})
After struggling for long time, days infact, I eventually got it working. Below is the code I came up with. I found I needed two queries to the database, because I could not get the events to populate the images with one query. So I got the event ids and then used the event ids in a events query to get the events and images.
Heres the code below:
const utils = require('#strapi/utils')
const { sanitize } = utils
const { createCoreController } = require("#strapi/strapi").factories;
const modelUid = "api::event.event"
module.exports = createCoreController(modelUid, ({strapi }) => ({
async me(ctx) {
try {
const user = ctx.state.user;
if (!user) {
return ctx.badRequest(null, [
{messages: [{ id: 'No authorization header was found'}]}
])
}
// Get event ids
const events = await strapi
.db
.query('plugin::users-permissions.user')
.findMany({
where: {
id: user.id
},
populate: {
events: { select: 'id'}
}
})
if (!events) {
return ctx.notFound()
}
// Get the events into a format for the query
const newEvents = events[0].events.map(evt => ({ id: { $eq: evt.id}}))
// use the newly formatted newEvents in a query to get the users
// events and images
const eventsAndMedia = await strapi.db.query(modelUid).findMany({
where: {
$or: newEvents
},
populate: {image: true}
})
return sanitize.contentAPI.output(eventsAndMedia,
strapi.getModel(modelUid))
} catch(err) {
return ctx.internalServerError(err.message)
}
}
}))
I'm trying to do a pagination where the user can see each button's page number in the UI. I'm using Firestore and Buefy for this project.
My problem is that Firestore is returning wrong queries for this case. Sometimes (depending the page that the users clicks on) It works but sometimes don't (It returns the same data of the before page button).
It's really messy I don't understand what's going on. I'll show you the code:
Vue component: (pay attention on the onPageChange method)
<template>
<div>
<b-table
:data="displayData"
:columns="table.columns"
hoverable
scrollable
:loading="isLoading"
paginated
backend-pagination
:total="table.total"
:per-page="table.perPage"
#page-change="onPageChange">
</b-table>
</div>
</template>
<script>
import { fetchBarriosWithLimit, getTotalDocumentBarrios, nextBarrios } from '../../../../firebase/firestore/Barrios/index.js'
import moment from 'moment'
const BARRIOS_PER_PAGE = 5
export default {
data() {
return {
table: {
data: [],
columns: [
{
field: 'name',
label: 'Nombre'
},
{
field: 'dateAddedFormatted',
label: 'Fecha aƱadido'
},
{
field: 'totalStreets',
label: 'Total de calles'
}
],
perPage: BARRIOS_PER_PAGE,
total: 0
},
isLoading: false,
lastPageChange: 1
}
},
methods: {
onPageChange(pageNumber) {
// This is important. this method gets fired each time a user clicks a new page. I page number that the user clicks.
this.isLoading = true
if(pageNumber === 1) {
console.log('show first 5...')
return;
}
const totalPages = Math.ceil(this.table.total / this.table.perPage)
if(pageNumber === totalPages) {
console.log('show last 5...')
return;
}
/* Here a calculate the next starting point */
const startAfter = (pageNumber - 1) * this.table.perPage
nextBarrios(this.table.perPage, startAfter)
.then((querySnap) => {
this.table.data = []
this.buildBarrios(querySnap)
console.log('Start after: ', startAfter)
})
.catch((err) => {
console.err(err)
})
.finally(() => {
this.isLoading = false
})
},
buildBarrios(querySnap) {
querySnap.docs.forEach((docSnap) => {
this.table.data.push({
id: docSnap.id,
...docSnap.data(),
docSnapshot: docSnap
})
});
}
},
computed: {
displayData() {
let data = []
this.table.data.map((barrioBuieldedObj) => {
barrioBuieldedObj.dateAddedFormatted = moment(Number(barrioBuieldedObj.dateAdded)).format("DD/MM/YYYY")
barrioBuieldedObj.totalStreets ? true : barrioBuieldedObj.totalStreets = 0;
data.push(barrioBuieldedObj)
});
return data;
}
},
mounted() {
// obtener primer paginacion y total de documentos.
this.isLoading = true
getTotalDocumentBarrios()
.then((docSnap) => {
if(!docSnap.exists || !docSnap.data().totalBarrios) {
// mostrar mensaje que no hay barrios...
console.log('No hay barrios agregados...')
this.table.total = 0
return;
}
const totalBarrios = docSnap.data().totalBarrios
this.table.total = totalBarrios
if(totalBarrios <= BARRIOS_PER_PAGE) {
return fetchBarriosWithLimit(totalBarrios)
} else {
return fetchBarriosWithLimit(BARRIOS_PER_PAGE)
}
})
.then((querySnap) => {
if(querySnap.empty) {
// ningun doc. mostrar mensaje q no hay barrios agregados...
return;
}
this.buildBarrios(querySnap)
})
.catch((err) => {
console.error(err)
})
.finally(() => {
this.isLoading = false
})
}
}
</script>
<style lang="scss" scoped>
</style>
The nextBarrios function:
function nextBarrios(limitNum, startAtNum) {
const query = db.collection('Barrios')
.orderBy('dateAdded')
.startAfter(startAtNum)
.limit(limitNum)
return query.get()
}
db is the result object of calling firebase.firestore(). Can I tell a query to start at a certain number where number is the index position of the document within a collection? If not, How could I approach this problem?
Thank you!
Firestore doesn't support offset or index based pagination. It's also not possible to tell how many documents the entire query would return without actually reading them all. So, unfortunately, what you're trying to do isn't possible with Firestore.
It seems also that you're misunderstanding how the pagination APIs actually work. startAfter doesn't take an index - it takes either a DocumentSnapshot of the last document in the prior page, or a value of the ordered field that you used to sort the query, again, the last value you saw in the prior page. You are basically going to use the API to tell it where to start in the next page of results based on what you found in the last page. That's what the documentation means when it says you are working with a "query cursor".
I am trying to add action buttons to the push notifications sent via the firebase admin SDK to my Ionic 4 app using the Firebase-X native plugin to handle push notifications. My app is running on android and ios.
Here's my current script that sends me successfully a push notification:
exports.sendDebugPush = functions.pubsub.schedule('* * * * *').onRun((context) => {
let promises: Promise<any>[] = [];
return admin.database().ref('/users/******').once("value")
.then( user => {
let todos = [];
for(let key in user.val().nextActions) {
if(user.val().nextActions[key].active != false) {
let todo = user.val().nextActions[key]
todo['todoid'] = key;
todos.push(todo);
}
}
if(todos.length > 0) {
//currently we pick a random todo, later on the one with the highest priority
//todos.sort((a, b) => (a.priority/1 < b.priority/1) ? 1 : -1);
let randomTodo = todos[Math.floor(Math.random()*todos.length)]
let payload: any = {
notification: {
title: "Gossik",
body: "Hoiiiii " + new Date().toISOString()
},
data: {
title: "Gossik",
body: "Hoiiiii " + new Date().toISOString(),
target: 'todo',
todoid: randomTodo.todoid
}
};
Object.values(user.val().devices).forEach( (device) => {
promises.push(admin.messaging().sendToDevice(String(device), payload));
});
}
return Promise.all(promises)
.then( () => {
console.log('success!');
})
.catch( error => {
console.log('failed :(');
console.log(error);
});
});
});
Of course, without action buttons. And this function handles the push notifications in my app (this.firebase = FirebaseX plugin imported from 'import { FirebaseX } from "#ionic-native/firebase-x/ngx";'):
initPushNotifications() {
this.firebase.getToken().then(token => {
this.db.saveDeviceToken(this.auth.userid, token);
});
this.firebase.onMessageReceived().subscribe(data => {
if(!data.target) {
let title = '';
if(data.title) {
title = data.title;
} else if(data.notification && data.notification.title) {
title = data.notification.title;
} else if(data.aps && data.aps.alert && data.aps.alert.title) {
title = data.aps.alert.title;
}
let body = '';
if(data.body){
body = data.body;
} else if(data.notification && data.notification.body){
body = data.notification.body;
} else if(data.aps && data.aps.alert && data.aps.alert.body){
body = data.aps.alert.body;
}
this.alertCtrl.create({
message: title + ' ' + body,
buttons: [
{
text: "Ok"
}
]
}).then( alert => {
alert.present();
});
} else {
this.goToToDoPage(data.todoid);
}
});
}
It does this also successfully. I achieved to handle the click on the push notification such that it redirects to my To-Do page for this kind of push notification (one with a 'target' property). But now I'd like to add two action buttons 'Start' and 'Skip' on the push notification to start or skip the corresponding to-do. To be clear, I am talking about a background push notification, so the app is not open. The user then gets a standard push notification on his phone and there I'd like two action buttons to take an action without opening the app itself.
I tried various things with the payload to first even show me action buttons, but didn't achieve it. For example, the following is not working for me:
let payload: any = {
notification: {
title: "Gossik",
body: "Hoiiiii " + new Date().toISOString()
},
data: {
title: "Gossik",
body: "Hoiiiii " + new Date().toISOString(),
target: 'todo',
todoid: randomTodo.todoid,
"actions": [
{ "icon": "approve_icon", "title": "APPROVE", "callback": "AppComponent.approve", "foreground": true},
{ "icon": "reject_icon", "title": "REJECT", "callback": "AppComponent.reject", "foreground": true}
]
}
};
Thanks a lot in advance for your help and let me know if something is still unclear. :)
I have implemented Algolia for Wordpress and am customizing the search template in the "instantsearch.php" file.
Looking at the documentation here https://www.algolia.com/doc/api-reference/widgets/search-box/js/#widget-param-searchasyoutype setting the searchAsYouType parameter to false should prevent Algolia from detecting user input and searching while a user types. However, this parameter is not disabling the search as you type for my site.
Below is the code for my input field widget and other custom components:
/* Instantiate instantsearch.js */
var search = instantsearch({
appId: algolia.application_id,
apiKey: algolia.search_api_key,
indexName: algolia.indices.searchable_posts.name,
urlSync: {
mapping: {'q': 's'},
trackedParameters: ['query']
},
searchParameters: {
facetingAfterDistinct: true,
highlightPreTag: '__ais-highlight__',
highlightPostTag: '__/ais-highlight__'
}
});
/* Search box widget */
search.addWidget(
instantsearch.widgets.searchBox({
container: '#algolia-search-box',
placeholder: 'Search ...',
searchAsYouType: false,
wrapInput: false,
poweredBy: algolia.powered_by_enabled
})
);
/* Hits widget */
search.addWidget(
instantsearch.widgets.hits({
container: '#algolia-hits',
hitsPerPage: 10,
templates: {
empty: 'No results were found for "<strong>{{query}}</strong>".',
item: wp.template('instantsearch-hit')
},
transformData: {
item: function (hit) {
function replace_highlights_recursive (item) {
if( item instanceof Object && item.hasOwnProperty('value')) {
item.value = _.escape(item.value);
item.value = item.value.replace(/__ais-highlight__/g, '<em>').replace(/__\/ais-highlight__/g, '</em>');
} else {
for (var key in item) {
item[key] = replace_highlights_recursive(item[key]);
}
}
return item;
}
hit._highlightResult = replace_highlights_recursive(hit._highlightResult);
hit._snippetResult = replace_highlights_recursive(hit._snippetResult);
console.log(hit);
if ( hit.post_excerpt != '' ){
hit._snippetResult['content']['value'] = hit.post_excerpt;
}
if ( hit.short_title.length > 0 && hit.short_title[0] != '' ){
hit._highlightResult['post_title']['value'] = hit.short_title[0];
}
return hit;
}
}
})
);
/* Pagination widget */
search.addWidget(
instantsearch.widgets.pagination({
container: '#algolia-pagination'
})
);
/* Tags refinement widget */
search.addWidget(
instantsearch.widgets.refinementList({
container: '#facet-tags',
attributeName: 'taxonomies.aar_article_type',
operator: 'and',
limit: 15,
sortBy: ['isRefined:desc', 'count:desc', 'name:asc'],
templates: {
header: '<h2 class="widgettitle">Filter Results</h2>'
}
})
);
/* Start */
search.start();
I have added the parameter to the search box widget, but when i type, the page still auto updates without me having to hit submit. Am I missing a configuration or something?
The correct property for accomplishing this is searchOnEnterKeyPressOnly , not searchAsYouType
The proper documentation for the widget I am using can be found here https://community.algolia.com/instantsearch.js/v2/widgets/searchBox.html#struct-SearchBoxWidgetOptions-searchOnEnterKeyPressOnly
