I've just made the migration of a Wordpress website to a new server (http://52.89.230.100/). The migration went fine, the only problem is that after it none of the theme images of the website are showing up.
The weird thing is that it is pointing to the right url - if I right click on the image area, copy the url and paste it on the browser, the image opens perfectly. But at the website itself it doesn't.
Where am I missing?
Thanks a lot!

Its really complicated to explain. if you understand so.
can any one help me to solve this problem.
I have tried many things to solve by getting backup and reuploading the website but the hosting i have that not have the feature to getting backup and now i cant make changes in public html files and i have watched youtube videos get the solution but there is not a single one video bout that.
I am trying to make a copy of the live site in the local server. I imported all the files and database. Edited the wp-config and changed the wp_options, wp_posts and wp_metadata table. Still the imgages are not showing up. When I copy the broken image link and paste it on another tab if the brower the image loads but not in the website. Can anyone help me with this.
I have just uploaded a wordpress website to a live URL which previously displayed a placeholder 'new website coming soon' page.
I have since uploaded the new site which is working fine in Google Chrome however when I try to load it up in Firefox or Edge it still displays the placeholder page.
I have tried clearing the cache for both browsers but the issue still persists!
Is there anything I can do in wordpress or anywhere else to resolve this issue.
The web address is http://www.mascar.co.uk
This is what you should be seeing.
This is what i am currently seeing.
I had initially set the home page to be the 'coming soon' page that I created but I have checked this and the home page is now set correctly in the homepage settings menu. Strangely, other pages on the site such as http://www.mascar.co.uk/drivers all seem to load up fine, it's just the homepage.
Update: Chrome on other PCs are showing the old holding page also, simple browser cache won't fix this either
There is cache issue, please go to plugins sections and un-installed all the cache plugins and then save permalinks from settings > Permalinks.
Please access this link http://www.mascar.co.uk/?sadkjfad, its working fine.
If the above steps do not help you to resolved your problems, then go to your root directory and delete your .htaccess files and save permalinks again from settings > Permalinks.
I hope its help you. :)
I've got a live Wordpress site that is working fine. Time for a few updates, so the guy hosting this site for us has created a new subdirectory, 'newdev', and copied the live site into it.
He said he's updated the database, and in my Dashboard-->Settings-->General, the WordPress Address (URL) has been updated to http://newdev.thecyclery.net.au (while the live site URL is http://thecyclery.net.au.
I find that I can open the homepage of the dev site OK, but if I click any links, it takes me to that page on the live site. E.g, I'm on http://newdev.thecyclery.net.au, then click 'Ride' and it takes me to http://thecyclery.net.au/ride
If I manually enter the URL for sub-pages (e.g. http://newdev.thecyclery.net.au/ride) it directs back to the DEV homepage.
I really need to be able to see my dev pages so I know that the work I'm doing is working and displaying correctly... Any suggestions?
Thanks, I hope I've provided enough info!!
