I am Generating PDF using Rotativa. Below is my Function to generate PDF:

I'm Calling this function from Create method. When I call it in return RedirectToAction("GeneratePDF"); it works fine.
But when I call it before the return statement, it does not work.
GeneratePDF(); //this does not work. But I want to use this approach.
return RedirectToAction("index","Applicants");
I want to load another view after PDF is generated, that is why I don't want to call GeneratePDF() in RedirectToAction(). The debugger shows that the method is being executed fine. Tell my why it is not Working.
It is not working because in your case the GeneratePDF() method indeed returns a view as pdf. So what are you doing with it? The answer is: Nothing!
GeneratePDF(); //this returns an ActionResult which contains your pdf, but you do nothing with it here
return RedirectToAction("index","Applicants"); // this redirects the user to another action
So in this case you can only redirect the user to another action or return the pdf. You can not have two return statements in the same method.
In order to make the user not being able to generate the same pdf again (which should be harmless, so which would be the problem if the user wants the pdf again? but it's your choice how you want your application to work) you will have to disable (hide or even redirect to another page, etc.) using javascript.

I have a suitelet script (server side- working on back end) which needs to be triggered from a client script without getting navigated to that Suitelet page.
I tried using resolveScript and it makes the script work but it navigates the page to the suitelet page which is blank.
Can anyone suggest me which API to use which will trigger my Suitelet Script but remain on the same page where I m right now?

In Symfony3, I want to use FPDF to generate a pdf output. It's OK but my problem is that this output is on the current tab. I would like this output opens a new tab and appears in it. I tested pdf output this way :

You can't do it on the server side (by using PHP), but if you're using a form for calling this action you could set target=__blank and it'll do the job. You can also achieve this result by using js (e.g. you're using ajax).
I am trying to use the jQuery UI autocomplete feature in my web application. What I have set up is a page called SearchPreload.aspx. This page checks for a value (term) to come in along with another parameter. The page validates the values that are incoming, and then it pulls some data from the database and prints out a javascript array (ex: ["item1","item2"]) on the page. Code:

The db part is working fine and printing out the correct data on the screen of the page if I navigate to it via browser.
The jQuery ui autocomplete is written as follows:

Now if my understanding is correct, every time I type in the search box, it should act as a keypress and fire my source to limit the data correct? When I through a debug statement in SearchPreload.aspx code behind, it appears that the page is not being hit at all.
If I wrap the autocomplete function in a .keypress function, then I get into the search preload page but still I do not get any results. I just want to show the results under the search box just like the default functionality example on the jQuery website. What am I doing wrong?
autocomplete will NOT display suggestions if the JSON returned by the server is invalid. So copy the following URL (or the returned JSON data) and paste it on JSONLint. See if your JSON is valid.

PS: I do not see that you're calling the PreLoadStrings function. I hope this is normal.
A couple of things to check.
Make sure that the path to the page is correct. If you are at http://mysite.com/subfolder/PageWithAutoComplete.aspx, and your searchpreload.aspx page is in another directory such as http://mysite.com/anotherFolder/searchpreload.aspx the url that you are using as the source would be incorrect, it would need to be
source: "/anotherFolder/Searchpreload.aspx?Type=rbChoice"
One other thing that you could try is to make the method that you are calling a page method on the searchpreload.aspx page. Typically when working with javascript, I try to use page methods to handle ajax reqeusts and send back it's data. Have a real puzzler here. I'm using Atalasoft DotImage to allow the user to add some annotations to an image. When I add two annotations of the same type that contain text that have the same name, I get a javascript permission denied error in the Atalasoft's compressed js. The error is accessing the style member of a rule:
In the debugger (Visual Studio 2010 .Net 4.0) I can access
h._rule
but not
h._rule.style
What in javascript would cause permission denied when accessing a membere of an object?
Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this. I see several people using Atalasoft on SO and I even saw a response from someone with Atalasoft. And yes, I'm talking to them, but it never hurts to throw it out to the crowd. This only happens in IE8, not FireFox.

There was a bug in an earlier version that allowed annotations to be saved with the same unique id's. This generally doesn't cause problems for any annotations except for TextAnnotations, since they use the unique id to create a CSS class for the text editor. CSS doesn't like having two or more classes defined by the same name, this is what causes the "Permission denied" error.
You can remove the unique id's from the annotations without it causing problems. I have provided a few code snippets below that demonstrate how this can be done. Calling ResetUniques() after you load the annotation data (on the server side) should make everything run smoothly.

I don't know much about Flash but we are working on a site that has a flash form and when the users pick an option, like selecting a value from a drop down list, we need the value to be passed to asp.net server-side code. What's the easiest way to do this?
Flash can invoke server side service. So use GET or POST to pass data
You could explore these options:
1) Communicate between the SWF and the containing page through JavaScript
2) Communicate via asp.net webservices from the SWF directly to the webservice.
3) Not sure but could probably do a POST to a processing aspx page?

I think a good option is to use the XML class so consider this:

Important note:
The function that contain onLoad event, in this case sendForm function, has to be Void function, meaning it's not returning value. If this function return value, what happen is the function will be executed all the way without waiting for the returned data from .net page, thus the onLoad event will not be set properly.

To send data/message back to flash, you can use Response.Write. However, if you want Action Script to parse the posted message/data from .Net page keep in mind you have to include & symbol at the end of the message.
