How to change tvOS system volume - volume

On iOS we can use MPVolumeView to change the system volume but it's not available on tvOS.
Is there any API that allows us to change tvOS' system volume?

The best I found was according to an apple dev. q&a concerning master volumes
Every device may not support master volume control or individual channel control
however you should be able to use coreAudio as supported in tvOS

QTP Writing test on Win32 app ObjectSpy not finding object id

I am experienced writing automation tests for web apps using Selenium.
However I now have to automate a Windows Desktop app which I'm new to.
I'm using QTP 11 (old version) and I can get QTP to login type username/password to the desktop app. However when the app loads there are icons like a Windows desktop. I tried using ObjectSpy on the Actions folder icon but it can't find the object ID and it thinks the icon is a WinObject("COMPOSITE")
Also tried using QTP Record feature but the code that it generates uses hardcoded x and y values. I don't want to use x,y values as if the Actions icon moves 3cms left or right in future the test will fail.
e.g.
Window("Loan IQ").WinObject("COMPOSITE").Click 369,33
Need help finding the object ID in a Win32 app. Thanks
First of all you should make sure that UFT is configured to test your application. In the Record and Run Settings dialog, make sure that either _any windows application__ is selected or your app is explicitly listed.
If this doesn't improve the situation you can try using image based testing (aka Insight).
WIN32 Apps can be a nightmare to automate especially with QTP 11, as it is a kinda outdated version. If you want to get stable automation I propose the following:
Upgrade to a newer version of UFT (14+)
This will most probably not help you indentify the objects but will have a lot of new technologies supported that may help you as described in the following steps
Use Image Based Recognition
Even if your screen resolution changes UFT is still able to identify pictures.IT does not use absolute vectors to compare bitmaps but a different technology which I won't go in detailed (long story short, screen resolution changes are okay)
Provide support for your Widgets
Microsoft has 2 frameworks that can be used to provide UI Automation capabilities (initially for people with accessibility needs, but now is used for RPA and GUI Testing). UFT supports the MSAA and UIA frameworks of Microsoft so if your company is ready to implement support for the UI widgets via one of these Technologies, you are on your way for a smooth Test Automation Experience. Please note: This is mostly a huge investment, so if the tool is something internal and not planned for longer term usage, go with the image based Recognition

How-to remote display MS Band on PC

I would like to show the Microsoft Band display on a PC. For taking screenshots and for presentations. Somewhere I saw a presenter doing this (maybe on Build 2016).
Does a publicly available remote control tool exist?
He was probably using the Band Emulator - Tool - Fake Microsoft Band Emulator - http://peted.azurewebsites.net/fake-microsoft-band/ . I personally use a inexpensive overhead cam for a lot of photos and such, the ipveo ziggi - http://amzn.to/2bX6tKW .

What is the best way to convert Flex App for windows mobile?

Ok, so I have a Flex application developed using Apache FB 4.14 SDK. I got it working and approved on App Store and Play Store. Now my client is looking to port the app on Windows Phone. I tried some googling but all I found is about Astoria project, which is recently dropped by Microsoft. So My question from you folks is what is the best way to port the Flex code for Windows phone with minimal efforts?
Sadly, there is currently no easy path from Flex to Windows Phone.
The road map also states no current plans to add support: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplatform/whitepapers/roadmap.html
You will have to port your game to a different engine. How much work that is, and which engine you should use, depends a lot on the nature of your app.
It also depends on if you want to make a Windows code base just for that platform, or if you want to port to something to have one code base for all mobile platforms

Displaying different stuff to multiple Projectors.

I want to connect multiple projector to single laptop, I found about VGA Splitter (http://www.kvmswitchtech.com/vga-splitter-350mhz-8-port-p46359.htm) which can use to connect multiple projectors to single PC.
But I don’t want to display whole screen in both Projectors, in short Projectors should display different stuff at same time.
For Example:-
Projector 1 can Display Power point Presentation and Projector 2 can Display the running movie in player.
I got below set of Questions
Is there any Software available to perform this operation?
If I want to write my own application, Is Directshow (Provided by Microsoft ) is good one to start?
Is there any other VGA Programming language available?
Is there any Software available to perform this operation?
The primary question you are going to get here is how the projectors are connected to PC. The device might need specific integration and you're moving the item #2 below immediately. Otherwise it can be a sort of secondary monitor and you can extend your desktop over it, and then any full screen application running on the secondary monitor is going to be projected.
Perhaps, you will find more software choices going to SuperUser.
If I want to write my own application, Is Directshow (Provided by Microsoft ) is good one to start?
As mentioned above, the hardware might need you to use specific SDK from the vendor and this is your starting point. DirectShow is the API that covers multiple related tasks and might be of use here:
it is capable to built media pipelines terminating at DirectShow-compatible video output device (the projector might be not might be not capable/compatible)
it allows you to play media files into your application and otherwise control video/audio and integrate it into higher level software
DirectShow as API does not fully cover requested task, but it definitely relevant might be used in the in-house built Windows based app.
Is there any other VGA Programming language available?
The "language" is not actually language and it is how particular device is integrated with PC. This is typically covered by hardware vendors who provide the hardware with accompanying development kits and samples.

Alternative to 51degrees.mobi?

Since the mobile detection solution for ASP.NET 51degrees.mobi became commercial (the lite version isn't really useful anymore), I'm looking for an alternative solution.
Are there any other OpenSource or free projects, that enhance the detection of mobile devices with ASP.NET?
There is a free version of DeviceAtlas available for web developers who need an easy and reliable way to distinguish between mobile, tablet, desktop, TV etc. Also identifies OS and browser. It's available to your web application as a web service built on the DeviceAtlas Cloud infrastructure -
Completely free to use and available in Java .NET PHP Python Ruby
https://deviceatlas.com/blog/announcing-deviceatlas-cloud-free-version
Developers, hobbyists and micro-companies may find the free WURFL OnSite or Cloud offering sufficient for their needs.
WURFL Cloud: http://scientiamobile.com/wurflCloud/gettingStarted
WURFL OnSite: http://wurfl.sourceforge.net/dotnet_index.php
In free edition they allow any 2 free properties/capabilities which you can select like-
ux_full_desktop
is_wireless_device
is_tablet
brand_name
model_name
device_os
device_os_version
and many more...
This would help in getting just and much more required requesting device info. Hope this helps somebody in need.
Check out Apache DeviceMap for .NET: http://devicemap.apache.org
The best (and probably only) Open Source alternative that exists in that area.
After Apache showed too little interest in Mobile projects (there are only 2 active projects in this category, essentially all dominated by client-side Phonegap) especially on the server side, we put DeviceMap to rest in January 2017.
You can find the only true Open Source alternative in this field, free to use both for non-profit and commercial sites at OpenDDR.
WURFL should handle your needs: http://wurfl.sourceforge.net/
