I am using google analytics in my ios/android apps.
I need to count the following:
new downloads : when user download the application from the store for the first time.
reDownload : when user download the application from the store after uninstalling it.
here is an example:
when "user A" download the application from the store for the first time then it count as new download.
when "user A" delete the application then after some time "user A" download the application again from the store , this count as reDownload.
please note:
newUsers metric count new downloads + reDownload together. because every time the user install the application google sdk create new user.
my solution:
ios / android has a unique advertisinId which is constant and doesn't change regularly .
so i would create a custom dimension called advertisinId with user level scope .
and then i need to create two custom metric:
first one which is count unique advertisinId
second one which is count advertisinId who has more than one user.
How to do build those metrics ?

You don't really need Google Analytics for this, when you upload your app on the Play Store, you are able to get all that information, plus much more:

I am using the Firebase Web SDK 8.3.1 and I have created a remote config parameter with conditions based on a custom user properties.
The problem I encounter is that my end users always get the default value, never one from any of the conditions, even if I am sure the user actually matches the conditions...
I see in the doc:

Then if I follow the provided link I see the instructions:
To manage Google Analytics for Firebase data sharing:
Sign in to Firebase and select a project.
Click the Settings icon and select Project Settings.
On the Project Settings page, click Data privacy.
See the options available under Google Analytics data
sharing. When you share Analytics data, you share it for all the apps
in your project.
Turn on the switch for Share Analytics data with all Firebase
features, including Predictions, A/B Testing, Remote Config, and
Notifications (this is your default setting) to enable all current
options to share data with Firebase features.
But in my firebase console I dont have this switch! Under "Google Analytics data sharing" there is now another link:
So I cant turn on this setting :(
Note: how I made sure my user actually matches the condition "user property X == A":
Wait 30mins
Launch the app with a user having user property X set to A
Launch the Realtime dashboard of Firebase Analytics and filter to the last 30mins
And here I see that there were indeed 1 user in the last 30mins and this user had property X set to A
So is there anything special I should do when I want to create a condition using custom user properties?
We have a web app that users log into using Firebase Auth. According to our the authentication section of our firebase console, we have 690 user that have created accounts, and we believe that is correct.
According to our Firebase Analytics console, we have 2,100 new users in the past 90 days. I think I understand that Firebase Analytics tracks users with a device ID (?). So, if this were a iOS app, an uninstall and install would trigger a a new user counted in analytics. But, how does this work on a web app? Cookie? Some kind of browser id? A session?
So, I think if we want to track unique users accurately, we would use the set the user id, with this:

Which according to the docs linked above, 'Use gtag 'config' command to set 'user_id'. So it does this: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gtagjs/cookies-user-id#set_user_id
Which allows the users to be tracked across sessions. Therefore, users should not double count.
Notice that the setUserId section in the firebase analytics docs does not have a web section (although the setUserID function does exist in the javascript sdk as shown tow links above) https://firebase.google.com/docs/analytics/userid
So... would it then work to get the user id (uid) when they log in (https://firebase.google.com/docs/reference/js/firebase.User). And then use the setUserId method to set the id?
It's unclear because the documentation does not seem to be in one source. I am just trying to put it all together
You are correct that you can use the setUserId API (across iOS, web and Android) in order to identify the same user across platforms. Note that you'll need to:
Set the default reporting identity to "By User-ID then Device" in the Reporting settings for Google Analytics in the Firebase console (see attached screenshot and docs for more info).
Make sure you are following the Privacy Policy when using the User ID.
I'm using Firebase Analytics and User Properties in my app to collect some data and to see how the users are using the app etc.
My app has both Free Version and Pro version. Before hire the Pro version, the user can use the Pro Version as a Trial of 1 month. When the user starts the Free Trial, I'm creating a event named "started_free_trial" and with this event I'm sending a "created_at" event attribute equal to System.currentTimeInMillis().
Now I want to send the cloud notifications from the Firebase console to the users who are using the trial period of Pro version at intervals of 15 days, 25 days and 30 days from the free trial start.
So here are the points what i want to do exactly
Create a Audience of users who started the Trial 15, 25 and 30 days ago. Can I do that? As Firebase provides an option to create audiences but I don't know how to create such type of audience to filter according to my requirement.
I want to send notification to that above created audiences.
I need your help to complete/perform above 2 points.

You can't really create an audience based on time the user started using your app, since the audiences are sticky, once a user is in the audience she will remain there forever.
However, instead of targeting to an audience, you can use user property directly to target your notification to users that registered after certain time or before certain time.
Just make you app to store the first start time to user property and the use that as the condition. You can also create other relatewd conditions and combine them.
we have events listing website and events from different organizers are grouped (by URL), like -

etc. How to give an organizer an access only to his/her part of the site's Google Analytics?
Easy way -
An organizer registers in Google Analytics
An organizer creates a counter in Google Analytics
An organizer sets this counter in his/her profile on our website.
We add this counter to our Google Analytics code on www.site.com/organizer/* pages
He/she clicks on some link in the profile and sees the GA stat only for own events.

After reading your comments in another answer (which is basically just a copy of the comment I left on your question). I have changed my recommendation left in comment, think you should use the Google Analytics API for this.
Since you want to give others access to your own data I suggest you use a service account. You will need to do this in a server sided programing language, say PHP or C#.
Every night run a job that will extract the data you want though the Core reporting API. Store it in the database then create a page that will then display only the data you want to the different people. You will only need to run your job once per day as the data for previous days will never change. Wait at least 24 hours to get the data as data hasn't completed processing for 24 hours.

I would create different profile views with filters to include only the subset of data for the subpages.
This way, you can add a specific user access rights to that specific profile only, so they can only view that profile when they log in.
Create an include only filter which filters on Request URI: /organizer/event1, /organizer/event2, /organizer/event3 etc.
We are having a launch party for our new mobile app on February 19th. At the party, we want to display a real time user count on a big tv (similar to the scene in The Social Network movie).
If someone creates an account on our app, we want to immediately see the user count go up by 1.
How do we do this? Flurry Analytics is not real time and that's our analytics platform. I've heard Google Analytics has a real time user count but can we have two analyics platforms at once?

To resolve this issue, I created an account with Countly (www.count.ly) which is an open source analytics platform that tracks real time. We will hook my laptop up to a TV and zoom in on the user count portion of the dashboard.
Yes google analitics have great live report.
