I'm trying to use an opensource angular template in my angular project. I wan't to know what is the best practice to do this. Should I get the UI source and add that inside my project? or should I do npm install this as a dependency?
This template provides only a zip file containing the project files. Can somebody please shed me some light on this. What is the best way to use this template in my angular project ?
Sidenote: I also wish to use another template in my project made for a user dashboard.
Thanks
I have created a web app using python-Flask and frontend using bootstrap. This app allows user to browse the AWS S3 bucket from web browser. Please excuse me this project is still is construction phase and I'm in learning path. I have manually downloaded the bootstrap code and placed it in static folder.
here is the link for the project.

I want to know if there is a way where we can run a command it will upgrade the bootstrap and its dependencies.
Thanks in advance for your help!.
You can use Bower for managing your web packages. It is written for node js so you need to install this as well. This is a very common way to manage your frontend packages like jQuery, Bootstrap, ...
I've been all over the Meteor and Angular-Meteor websites (and Angular-Meteor github) looking for a pure Angular 2/4 guide to using Meteor (all I can seem to find is an Ionic one). Kind of confused as to how to use the CLI's together. Does anyone have a tutorial or know the steps to setting this up without Ionic? Or should I just be trying to follow the Ionic tutorial but using Angular CLI instead?
For anyone who is interested.
I spent most the day trying to use https://github.com/Urigo/angular-meteor with my app (used the quickstart), copied most of my apps src into the clients/imports directory and tried to keep the same app structure as the one on github, with a bit of messing around was able to get the angular bit working however if you are planning on using #angular/material, especially with a custom theme then you're in for a world of hurt (quite a few issues and comments re importing scss mixins from node_modules on the meteor github, meteors build system doesn't seem to like it).
To make it all work properly, follow the steps in The process I've done to recreate this section at https://github.com/Urigo/angular-meteor/examples/angularcli-meteor
If you already have an angular 4 app partially built then start in your apps root directory at step 3 (ng eject).
Instructions are fairly straight forward. Any steps where there isn't code examples (Now we need to create api/tsconfig.json) copy the file in question from the repo.
Hope that saves some others a heap of time.
Hi i just finished installing asp.net core1 so got introduced to npm , bower and nodejs after researching a lot i chose to go with angular2 .
now my problem is that i have never used gulp, grunt etc even though i know how it works and why to use it. there are lots of instructions on web to setup angular2 project with mvc6 but not explaining the thing which is new with mvc6.
anyways i dont want to get myself confused with gulp/grunt etc right now so i am just copying files from node_modules to my script folder and giving it path but it works almost for everything related to angular.
for eg.
import {anything} from 'angular2/core' or from RXjs etc(this import is from node_modules) and i have to give a path in my index files where i have copied all the files.
but when i try to include some plugins like ng2-select, ng2-bootstrap or toastr etc it doesnt work the way it should it throws errors.
my question is do i need to copy whole folder from node_modules to my script folder and then linq it or what , how it works?
Do I need to copy whole folder from node_modules to my script folder and then link it or what, how does this work?
I have an example in my blog post of what you should be doing in this situation. Ideally, you will use a gulpfile.js to orchestrate your desired file needs. For example, if you're looking for Angular2 it is rather simple. You create a gulpfile.js by adding a new item to your project. In that file you write some simple "tasks" that automate this move for you. You look in node_modules and move over anything that you need. For Angular2 I move over the following .js files (in this example):
var angularJs = [
'./node_modules/angular2/bundles/angular2.js',
'./node_modules/angular2/bundles/router.js',
'./node_modules/angular2/bundles/angular2-polyfills.js',
'./node_modules/angular2/bundles/http.js'
];
So to answer your question more directly, no. You do not need to copy the entire folder -- just the files that your application needs.
I am a newbie with Meteor.
I used Iron-Router and Blaze for my project (without React or React-Router) and I have some trouble to load dependency modules (now all files are loaded in the first time running of application).
Can anybody help me with the solution to this problem?
Thank you!
it may help to post the folder structure of your project.
Also run a meteor list and post the results. that will help us determine if some dependencies are conflicting.
Also, in meteor all of the detected *.js files will be included in the project. to exclude them, place in a folder outside of the directory where the .meteor folder is located.
