How to change JavaFx native Bundle exe icon

I am trying to chance the icon of the exe file created native bundling of javafx packaging but it still contains the default icon. Please suggest
primaryStage.getIcons().add(FileUtility.loadImage("icon.png"));
did not help, it only changes the title bar and task bar icon.
The ico file still gets generated and icon of the exe files remains the default one
I also tried to assign an icon in the project properties-> Deployment-> icon but did not help
I believe I have encountered the same issue and the solution is described in the following thread.
As a side note - neither specifying your icon in the build.xml file or via the project's options in the deployment section is going to work thus far, but it seems to be fixed in the upcoming release of 7u10.
I added response here How to set custom icon for javafx native package icon on Windows and thinks it is the same issue you started out with. However you seem to have moved on, but others might find it interesting...
I added src/main/deploy/package/windows/myapp.ico there and it finally worked :)
For you:
Create src/main/deploy/package/windows/ folder
Add icon with name ${project.build.finalName}.ico
Run mvn jfx:build-native
I haven't played with it extensively - just got it to work and wanted to share. So if you want to use icon with different name, I don't know how. Not yet at least. The ... section in the config section seems to be for webstart, so I haven't been using it. Hope you get it to work!

SDL Tridion UI / Experience Manager - Modify the enable editing button

Is there a way to configure some settings around the 'SDL Tridion' button that is shown in the top left of the published website?
I'd like to go to town on it:
Change the text from 'SDL Tridion' to something like 'Edit this page'
Change the position in the page e.g. to bottom right
Change the colour etc.
You could look at concept of the skinning the Tridion CMS and apply the same for UI Experience Manager. You could find the UI themes TRIDION_HOME\web\WebUI\Editors\SiteEdit\Themes and possibly could add a new css for the placement of the button etc.
You could create a new css file like MyCustom.css and place it under the defalt Carbon. Once you have your new css file you need to update the SiteEditEditor.cfg file under TRIDION_HOME\web\WebUI\Editors\SiteEdit\Configuration to add new theme css file. Look for themefiles section in the config.
To change the default label, you need to change the EditorViewTitle data attribute value in Tridion.Web.UI.Editors.SiteEdit.Strings.resx file located under TRIDION_HOME\web\WebUI\WebRoot\App_GlobalResources.
**NOTE::***Please note that updating .resx files may not be supported and not documented*.
I played with this while back and I am quite successful with the labels and themes, but did not pursue since it is not fully meeting my needs.
Skinning the CMS is documented at : http://sdllivecontent.sdl.com/LiveContent/content/en-US/SDL_Tridion_2011_SPONE/task_C4C14E4D601B4BE392ACE3B067426BB7
I do not have enough rep points to make a comment, so I am using an answer instead.
Thanks Ram for the details.
I just tried to change the SDL Tridion button label, and I had to use the StartButtonLabel resource name in Tridion.Web.UI.Editors.SiteEdit.Strings.resx to make it work. The EditorViewTitle label appears as the browser page title, not on the start button.

Easiest way to create a Module in DotNetNuke 6 and to debug

Can I avoid all the packaging and just create a Web application with a .ascx file and use that? The closest thing I can find is this article which is for 5.1 and does not completely work for v6.
http://mestanzasoft.wordpress.com/2011/03/27/creating-a-dotnetnuke-dnn-module-with-an-ascx-control/
So if there is a more up to date tutorial for v6 let me know please.
You should be able to choose Create New Module from the Host -> Extensions page, and then choose the control (which, I think, is what the blog post said). What specifically isn't working?
One thing that may be an issue you're running into is that the control needs to inherit from IModuleBase (probably via PortalModuleBase). You can't just drop a control that knows nothing about DNN in the website and get DNN to make it into a module (though you can make a thin wrapper around a control like that).
Yes you can.
If you go to Host > Module Definitions and click on Create New..., you will find there are there ways to create a new module:
New : That will allow you to create a simple module with single view control. You have to provide module information and create parent folder to do this.
Control: This will allow you to create new module from a control. If you don't want to create a new module folder and control at UI, you can just add a new folder to desktopmodules folder and drop an ascx control which inherits from DotNetNuke.Entities.PortalModuleBase and then use this option to provide correct folder and control that you have created and you are done.
Last option is to create it using manifest and generally useful when you want to split single module with multiple definition to different modules.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
In DNN 6.0 you have to go to Host - Extensions...
then hover over the semi-transparent "Manage" button, which you can barely see (hidden behind the word EXTENSIONS, perhaps), and wait for the popup dialog, and THEN click "Create New Module".

Modify icon of the Flex application for Blackberry-Playbook

Has anybody please found a way to modify/replace the icon of a Playbook program?
Like display a red star on it - to indicate there is new message for the user.
I've tried tracing NativeApplication.supportsDockIcon and NativeApplication.supportsSystemTrayIcon properties, but they are both false on Playbook simulator.
What you're asking (dynamically changing the icon once the app is installed) is not currently possible. That will require OS support which is not available and hasn't even been mentioned publicly yet.
The reason it's not possible currently without an API is that everything in your .bar is written to a folder which is read-only to the app itself, icon file and MANIFEST.MF file included.
Edit your blackberry-tablet.xml and add
<icon>
<image>blackberry-tablet-icon.png</image>
</icon>
