Hide panels from the GUI (project panel and search/replace panel) - atom-editor

Looking for a way to hide panels in the Atom GUI... First of all the panel that lives on the left by default (project browser?). When editing a single HTML document, I have no need for this.
I also have a bottom panel for search/replace now as a result of hitting ctrl-f. No idea how to get rid of it again.
edit: I found the menu option to toggle the search panel:
Find > Toggle find in buffer

I've just disabled "tree-view" package and it has been hidden finally.
I hope, it would be helpful for someone else

How to display a button inside a b-tabs in boostrap vue?

this is the situation:
We have a series of tabs, which have card-like elements inside. The designer choose to push a "change display" feature which hides part of the content of the cards (image, description) to increase the displayed number per time.
The problem:
The designer choose to put this change display button, in the tabs section. Like (Tab - Tab - Button).
After a couple hours of research, I couldn't find a way to place a button inside the <b-tabs> component (which has X number of <b-tab>). I had to use float, position absolute and use coordinates to place the button, but obviously this is not a desirable solution.
Is there a better approach to this problem? Or it's possible to place the button inside the component itself?
Thanks.
Edit:
#Anatoly gave the answer !
Thanks.

How to position ExtLib dialog in XPages not to center parent or screen

I want to position my Extension Lib Dialog control to another than it´s default position, which seems to center to the window or the parent element. I have seen that there is a resize-listener, maybe this could be overwritten.
I tried to position it directly in the style-class, no success:
<xe:dialog id="loginDialog">
<xe:this.style><![CDATA[#{javascript:return "top:100px !important; left:50px !important;";}]]></xe:this.style>
<xp:div>
<xp:label value="Label" id="label1"></xp:label>
</xp:div>
</xe:dialog>
Seems that no one else has this problem ?? I could not find any topics or posts on this.
Are you sure you want a dialog? You might want to check out the ToolTip and Tooltip dialog controls. That's likely what you want instead of trying to mess with the main dialog.
The Ext. Library comes with a sample application. There should be code examples in there. Suggest you take a look at this page once you get it installed : /XPagesExt.nsf/Core_InPlaceDialog.xsp
If you must mess with the dialog itself - search for ways to do this with a standard dojo dialog. Since that's where the XPages one comes from. Maybe start here : How to set the location a Dojo Dialog opens at?

How do I get rid of this anonymous draggable bar in qtcreator?

I wrote a program in qt creator, but it includes this anonymous draggable toolbar that I would like to get rid of. It does not show up in design mode. If I right click on it, it gives me a menu with a checkbox, which I can select to get rid of it while the program is running. What is this bar? How do I get rid of it? If I knew what it was, I could just programmatically tell it to hide when the program loads.
Here are some screenshots demonstrating this weird problem. In the first screenshot, the mouse is pointed at the bar. The second one demonstrates the right-click context menu. The third one shows the program without the bar. The box can also be dragged out of the program's window entirely. I can also upload a picture of that, if necessary.
(mouse pointing at bar)
(bar has a right-click menu!)
(bar is gone)
First things first, make sure you haven't added the toolbar yourself in code (the Designer form is nothing magical, it just generates normal Qt code to ui_XXXX.h, which you should totally study, so you understand what is really happening "under the hood").
Second, perhaps that is the main menu bar, not the main tool bar.
Then, on to remove the nasty bar. On the upper right corner of Design view, you have a tree of all items in your UI. Find the QToolBar there. It is probably called mainToolBar. Right click it and remove it there. Or, if you actually have menu bar, then find QMenuBar, probably called menuBar, and remove it instead. Remember to make version control commit (or other backup) before doing this, so you can easily revert changes.
If this fails for whatever reason, and you just want to get it to work, you can always find and delete (be careful about the dangling pointers left behind, set them to nullptr if possible):
ui->setupUi(this);
// a hack: we want to get rid of the toolbar and the menubar,
// but can't remove it from the .ui, so we delete them like this.
delete findChild<QToolBar *>(); // NULL return value is ok for delete
delete findChild<QMenuBar *>(); // NULL return value is ok for delete
Doc links for findChild and alternative findChildren.
What you have there is probably the mainToolBar QToolBar object you get with every QDesigner-created QMainWindow .ui file.
If you want to get rid of it, locate it in your .ui file and just delete it.
But better think twice: you might later decide you want a QToolBar object and (at least AFAIK) there is no way to recreate it in QDesigner...
you must use this code in your constructor.
ui->mainToolBar->toggleViewAction()->setVisible(false);
mainToolBar is my toolbar name.

Flex form inside Pop up window - Tab (order) between forms not working

when user clicks on Add button, then a pop up button will be opened with certain form elements (like textinput, date field, text area).. When i used 'TAB' inside this form,it is not working. I found in couple of Questions / forums that we need to create an instance of FocusManager and then bring/activate focus for the pop up. But still i didn't see the tab working inside the form. In order to tab order working inside a pop up, what steps we need to follow.
I tried using focusmanager and property like tabfocusenabled, tabenabled and also added taborder inside each form element. But no luck.
Iam using Flash Builder 4.5 and using spark components for development.
Is there any workaround for this problem?
Thanks in Advance,
Regards
Srinivasan
Thanks for all your responses.
Finally the issue has been solved by one of my colleague. Problem is , the form has been loaded inside Horizontal accordion (flexlib HACCORDION). So inorder to draw focus inside the accordion to child elements, we need to add 'hasFocusableChildren="true"' for the HAccordion (horizontal accordion component). Adding this property solves the tab order problem.
I have also pasted the code below:

Navigation issue in Flex - ViewStack, states or something else?

I have a bit of doubt regarding my application which is being created using Mate framework. The first thing user has to do is to log in, so I created Login.mxml view. After a successful login I need to display the main view with applicationControlBar at the top and a workspace below. At the moment I have two separate views, so if I understand correctly it makes sense using ViewStack.
Thing is, I'd like also to display some kind of panel with buttons on top of the workspace after login - here is screenshot. After clicking on a button the panel should dissapear. To complicate things a little bit more, there is a possibility for this panel to change state. Clicking on a specific button may result in showing progress bar at the bottom of panel.
I feel I should create separate view, MenuDialog.mxml and put there buttons, progress bar and states, but how to display it on the top of the workspace? I hope my problem is clear enough :)
I would make the panel a popUp, with the main application (or the ViewStack's parent container) as the parent of the popUp. You can use the PopUpManager Class to close it based on user actions within the Panel.
Assuming that perhaps you do not want a modal login style panel (which many apps these days eschew) then you should absolutely use states rather than ViewStacks.
States are a much cleaner way to distinguish the various, uh, states that your UI can be in -LOGGED_IN, LOGGED_OUT, etc.
It may take a little to get used to working with states, but once you do, you'll never go back. :-)
