I am searching for a similar project or a new version of Weinre that has a latest dev tools console. I need timeline and profiling but the current version of Weinre does not have a lot of tools.
So, is there any new version of Weinre?
Sorry, there isn't a version of weinre with profiling, because that's something weinre just can't do.
If you're not aware, there are modern versions of browser debugging tools available for various mobile platforms. I've placed some links to them here:

I am running version 13.0.24 of crystal reports but have to revert to an older version to print out reports. How can I update the compatibility for my app to include newer CR versions.
Also, If we add support for newest version of crystal reports, can the older version still work too so we don't have to update all existing customers installs?
I have identified that from SP21 backward compatibility is broken by googling but not sure of what are available options to achieve this.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I've checked my installed programs in windows 7 machine. In it there are several copies of Microsoft Visual C++ were installed. I know they provide support files for various programs and softwares I've installed in past.
But If I uninstall the older one, will the associated software or games misbehave??? or should I keep them installed?
And if I have to keep them all installed for the sake of their associated softwares, How can I find out some useless copies of this MSVC++ if their main programs were uninstalled already????
Thanks in advance :)
You did not mention the games you intend to make sure will work. Even if you did, I doubt anyone here is developing all the games, so an exact answer is unlikely to be given here.
However, new versions of any software should be as much compatible with older versions as possible and you should keep that in mind when you see all the versions, so you should be able to keep only the latest installation.
However, the way to find out is to perform the following algorithm
for each installation ordered by version except the last
uninstall
test all the games sequentially
if any tests failed, then reinstall the given version
end for each
Don't know exactly but the latest version of visual c++ will be good enough for all other programs
I am trying to build a simple app using tidesdk , but unfortunately as stated here :
https://stackoverflow.com/a/14207566/1724929
that currently there is no way to protect the source code which is visible to the app users.
but after taking a look at wunderlist for Windows which is built using tidesdk and .net framework , i saw that the source code is not visible also i searched if it were hidden somewhere but i found nothing , so any one have an idea how they protect the source code from being visible . is there any tool or something to achive that ?
Latest version of Wunderlist is not built using TideSDK. They have re-implemented all different versions pure natively on each platform they are supporting.
TideSDK currently does not support Code hiding however the Developers of TideSDK are developing TideKit which is releasing soon with a new CLI, app and will provide platform builds. It will also provide Code Hiding. You can follow recent developments at http://www.tidekit.com. The video of what is coming is here: http://youtu.be/aE7gN-d0GhU. This will give you modern tools to use where the experience of creating and your projects is much better.
I have been using flex builder plug-in. But now trial period has expired and looking for some other option which comes free. I am trying to install flash develop plugin for eclipse. In my attempt to install I am trying this page but donno what all plugins to install...http://www.flashdevelop.org/wikidocs/index.php?title=3rd_Party_Plugins ...Can some one please guide. The problem i am facing here is I am not sure about what is outdated and what is useful
FlashDevelop is a standalone application (windows only), as far I know there is no plugin for eclipse. If you are searching for an eclipse plugin, there's the commercial FDT, with a 30 day trial period.
A new FlashDevelop version (4.0) is about to be released and most plugins from the old version aren't compatible with the new one. So I unless there's a new list somewhere or some plugin explicitly states that it supports the new version, every plugin there is probably outdated. Anyway, many plugins from that list have been integrated in FlashDevelop. You can of course use the latests stable 3.x version if you need a particular plugin.
If you've never used FlashDevelop, you should just try the stable 3.3.4 or the latest 4.0 beta or the very latest developement build and see if you are missing some features.
You could always write your code in Notepad and use the command line compiler provided in the free SDK. It's not going to be as nice as any IDE, but it is functional.
Another option, if you are a student or unemployed, is to request a complimentary license to Flash Builder from Adobe.
Another option is to use Tofino, a Free Visual Studio Plugin for Flex Development. However, you'll need Visual Studio for that to work. [And I assume a Windows Machine].
FlashDevelop, as others have noted, is not an Eclipse Plugin as far as I knew. It is a stand alone tool.
Other IDEs for building Flex applications are:
Sapphire Steel Amethyst, which is a commercial Visual Studio
Plugin
FDT; which is an eclipse based plugin. I believe FDT5
will have a free / community option, but I do not know if it is
available yet.
IntelliJ, which many developers swear by.
And of course Flash Builder. I believe the previous three are all commercial plugins, so do not fill your "free" Criteria.
I am having an application that will be installed on various machines. Now if i have a newer version than the installed one, i need to inform the users that an update is available. An update that shows up in Mozilla Firefox about a newer version, similar to that. Is this possible to implement?? Or how those Firefox guys implementing that feature? My application has been implemented using Qt 4.4. But i guess this doesn't conform to a specific programming language. I have virtually no idea about implementing this so any ideas regarding this are welcome.
you need a web site page, like http://yourapp.com/version
and place version number in this page.
each time your app runs, check this page(quietly),
if found version > current version, then open a confirm window.
