I'm trying to show more than 100 users profile in my website it's like a list that every user has he's own specification and some fields like major or etc
that I need to put filter for them which if I select a filter all of users with that filter shows.
I've searched wordpress.org and google for it but I coudn't find a usefull plugin for this job.
Any idea how to do this ?
Thanks in advance.
You can write a php code to filter or search those users for you from mysql and load this code with iframe into your post, i've did this once and worked perfectly for me.

My client asked me to allow user to search for images on the website using the search bar in Wordpress. It is a big client so really don't want to lose this job. Please help me already spent many days looking for that.
Basically he wants the images to popup when somebody input the keywords. Very simple example:
user digit "cat" on the search bar
cat images are shown in a sort of
tiled-gallery
I've been struggling for days to reach that,
thanks!!

I am making a java script to create a few posts in a Wordpress blog by only inserting them into the wp_posts so table. So far I could browse the posts on web browser. Question is, is it good enough with the db operations ? does anyone know any other subsequent tables need to be updated for making a post ?
Not really, you can extend the default and existing WordPress posts.
But you can go ahead and create your own table like: https://github.com/wp-plugins/wordpress-guest-post/blob/master/wordpressguestpost.php
ended up adding REST API V2 plugin and make calls to it for creating all sorts of things. Worked like a champ
Basically on my website launch I will be offering users a lot of app promo codes to get apps free. However, I want to know if there is a way that I can make it so that once they have clicked a page they are unable to access any of the others and get all the promo codes basically. So once they have one they are prevented from doing any more.
Thanks,
Harry
I dont think this is possible, because you can't denie a random visitor of your website access to a page if they just read an other page.
Maybe it would be possible if you make sure visitors can only read pages if they got an account. That way you can instal a page restric plugin and edit it yourself by adding a variable that checks how many posts are read and activites the page restrict plugin when x posts are read.
Never done something like this myself, and i dont see why you wouldnt provide all your promo codes to everyone, but thats your own choise:p
I might be completely wrong, but this is what i think.
There is a wordpress plugin called S2Members to help you restrict pages/posts from guest users.
I want my users to be able to mark posts as favorite. I tried the wp-favorite-posts plugin, but it doesn't work. I mark posts as favorites and after refreshing the page it's all gone. Furthermore, if I put {{wp-favorite-posts}} to a page, it just shows the text.
So I want to create my own solution, but don't really know how. I have never edited the WP database, but I have plenty of PHP mySQL experience.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction ?
You can use post_meta. You can store the "favourite" aspect as a custom field attached to each post. You don't need to manually edit the database (i.e. via mySQL).
When you want to show the favourited posts, run a custom query that only shows posts with the specific custom field that you've specified.
Im working on a wordpress powered website for a client that involves a directory of local offices. Part of their requirement is that live sorting be implemented via drop downs, so when someone selects X Office in X Area, the page dynamically loads the relevant results.
I currently have a custom post type set-up called "listing", which lists all the relevant information for that office. I then display each of those fields via the Loop.
In a perfect world, a plugin would exist that would perform the above, but I've yet to find one. The closest I've come is The custom category sorting over at Digging into Wordpress.
Any suggestions on a "easy" solution that would allow me to sort "listings" with multiple attributes?
please use the wp-smart-sort plugin for that.
With the help of this plugin you can also sort the custom field
If there is any issue after the use of this plugin then let me know
thanks
