Unable to login to Afresco share after changing the port no - alfresco

I changed the port from 8086 (which was working fine) to 8085 in server.xml file. After restarting the tomcat-server, I was able to get the login page by hitting http://localhost:8085/share however, when I try to login I get an Authentication fail error.
If I change the port no back to 8086 it works fine and I am able to login.
I am not sure what is the problem here as I also tried by changing the port no in alfresco-global.properties file and share-config-custom.xml. However, the issue still exists.

There are some configuration in share-config-custom.xml file for host and port.Those are used for connecting alfresco repository.You need to change in that as well otherwise it wonnt be able to connect with alfresco.

You will need to change the Tomcat connector port, AJP and RMI ports too. Otherwise it may conflict during a shutdown.

AzerothCore - still looping to realm selection even after updating IP address (Docker install)

I have followed the guides at https://www.azerothcore.org/acore-docker/, and everything installs and works fine. Auth, WorldServer, DB, etc all work. However, when trying to play locally (LAN, main computer with client, the server on a different Windows machine on same LAN), it consistently loops back to realm selection.
So, I searched here and found these two questions/answers:

I have followed the guide in the bottom one, and have changed the Address field in the database to my external IP address (assigned by ISP). The LocalAddress is 127.0.0.1 The rest of the information appears to be correct.
When trying to connect via the external IP, it won't connect at all. But when I try setting my realmlist to 127.0.0.1 it will connect and log me in, but continually loops back to the realm selection screen.
To make sure it was updating, I changed the name of the realm and it shows up correctly when I try and log in. So the data appears to be saved to the database, but I cannot get it to connect from the LAN.
Followed the official guides, and changed the IP address in the DB to external IP. Same result, except now it takes a few seconds to connect and try to log into the realm. Then fails, back to realm selection.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
It's 99.9% related to your networking. That's what it turns out to be for pretty much everyone asking this question.
Most likely either a port isn't forwarded correctly, or your firewall prevents the connection. Try and use an external service to verify if the port is open. (Do a search for "Port open check"). Also, check your firewall to have the worldserver listed as an exception in the right folder.
Another common mistake is to change the "default" values when using HeidiSQL in the realmlist db instead of changing the actual values in the 'data' tab.

unable to ping/send http requests to RHEL tomcat server on Azure

Note - I am fully aware that there are lot of similar issues posted before, but I tried NSG settings, psping but nothing seem to work
All, I brought up a RHEL7.3 server on Azure and installed JDK1.8 and Tomcat8. After starting Tomcat, I tried an http request from my browser:
http://XX.yy.zz.abc:8080/ but I was unable to get the index page
I also created an inbound security rule to allow HTTP and also allow IP range from our company.
Even worse is, when I tried pinging to this IP from my desktop computer, I am unable to ping the same - it is timing out.
Please note that in the past, I've been able to bring up servers and be able to connect from desktops without any issues - in a similar azure-companynetwork setup.
Am I missing anything here?
Ok, so pings do not work, you shouldn't even try that. What you should check is the firewall on you RHEL VM and check you've allowed port 8080 on you NSG, also your VM should have a PublicIP attached
According to your description, you had better check as the following ways:
1.Please ensure you could access your web by using 127.0.0.1:8080 on your VM.
2.Check your service listening.
netstat -ant|grep 8080
Please ensure 8080 is listening on tcp not tcp6.
3.Open firewall port on RHEL.
sudo firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8080/tcp --permanent

4.Open port on Azure NSG.
NSG could be associated with NIC and subnet, you should check all of them.

It looks like there is an input firewall inside of RHEL7.3 that is preventing connections. I just stopped it using
service firewalld stop
I am able to get the home page.

Configuring WL to listen for my IP address

I know how to configure WL to listen for a my IP address instead of localhost. I had done it in past and it worked as well. Today suddenly things are broken, as usual I started my server configured for listening to my IP address and I was not even able to open the WL console.
I thought it could be some proxy issue so I removed all my proxies and then tried but no help. Then just to be double sure I used curl and tried to GET the admin page but still no help.
Then I thought that it could related to some recent firewall blocking rules my company might have pushed so this link and added my port to unblock list for both inbound and unbound rules, but still not help.
Does anyone has any idea whether there is something I can do to debug or rectify this issue. Please note that I have already tried changing my WL listen address to "no address", specific address etc. but it doesn't help, and I have tried netstat -a -n command and I can see there is a connection listening for my IP:port, but in the end I cannot access that connection/socket or in other words I cannot access my WL admin console or my application
I am assuming that your servers and applications are running. But you are not able to access them.
In this case, You can start from here.
1. Verify whether you are able to ping the admin host. If so, see whether telnet is allowed on admin port.
2. Try accessing the console with both FQDN and ip address.
3. If vnc server is configured on your server which is hosting weblogic, try launching chrome from VNC to access weblogic admin console.

Multipart PUT/POST timeout

I configured my gitlab instance with an external nginx server according this documentation and following nginx configuration.
All is working fine, but when i try to change some profile settings in the UI I get an connection reset.
The problem only occurs on multipart form POST/PUT operations.
The funny thing is, that there are no log entries in any gitlab log files, so i think there is a problem in the nginx configuration somewhere.
Please when someone has any idea on how to further analyse the problem.

The problem was the MTU setting for the TCP-IP Stack on my windows machine. I switched from 1500 to 1300 and now all is working fine again.

I cannot access my IIS7 site on the network

I have an IIS7 site that works fine while on the server, however refuses to work from anywhere on the network.
When logged onto the IIS Server itself (with remote desktop) then the website shows fine, as per this link (I used port 801 for this site):
http://localhost:801/
However when attempting to access this site from the network, it refuses to work, giving the generic 'cannot display the webpage' message, while using the following link:
http://<<my IIS server>>:801/
Another thing I have noticed however is that on the network the default page (port 80) of the IIS server DOES work. I.E this following link shows the standard IIS7 page:
http://<<my IIS server>>:80/
Most of the help topics I've read point to it being a firewall issue, however as a test I disabled all firewall settings on the IIS Server, yet it still refused to show.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Did you tried with computer name and / or IP Address
e.g: http://192.168.1.105:80/
http://DELL_PC:80/
Run the following tests:
Check connectivity from both computers.
Firewall settings, temporary disable the firewall from all profiles (private, domain, public) if this works, try adding a Port Rule to your firewall allowing incoming connections to port 80.
Also, it'd be important to check the bindings configuration of your website, bindings specify the address the server should listen to for incoming connections, make sure you have 'All Unassigned'.
