unable to resolve host hp cloud - openstack

With the help of open stack commands I have made instance in HP cloud. After creating instance and associating with floating IP when I try to run lamp commands on instance means try to install mysql, apache etc on instance then I am getting error
unable to resolve host "instance_name"
I have implemented commands from following link.
http://docs.openstack.org/cli-reference/content/novaclient_commands.html
and Link of HP account https://horizon.hpcloud.com/
what can be the error and possible solutions?

edit
/etc/hosts
append:
127.0.0.1 <instance name>

Unable to access GCP service after gke upgrade

Automatic upgrade in mid-May.
1.14.10-gke.27 → 1.14.10-gke.36
https://cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/docs/release-notes?_ga=2.196679278.-315187236.1572486593#may_13_2020
After that, I got Memorystore(Redis)connection error and crul6 error.
crul error
cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: www.googleapis.com (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)
This problem happens occasionally, not always.
It worked fine before the upgrade.
Role-based access control not use
Workload Identity not use
Please advise.
Close it once.
Probably not a gke version issue.
The reason is that the node was a preemptible node.
That is likely.
When I ran the reboot test of the Pretentive Node, I was able to reproduce the error.
gcloud compute instances simulate-maintenance-event <instance name> --zone <zone>

Hiveserver2: could not start ThriftHttpCliService

I'm attempting to enable SSL on hiveserver2.
I can run in the default binary mode fine. http mode works no problem. As soon as I enable SSL through hive-site.xml, i'm faced with the following error.
ERROR [Thread-28] thrift.ThriftCLIService: Error starting HiveServer2: could not start ThriftHttpCLIService
java.net.BindException: Address already in use
There is nothing using any of the ports, prior to starting hiveserver2. Checked with netstat -tupln
Ports i've configured in hive-site.xml are
hive.server2.webui.port 11002
hive.server2.thrift.http.port 11001
hive.server2.thrift.port 11000
and invoking hiveserver2 via the service /opt/hive/bin/hive --service hiveserver2 &
O/S ubuntu (on kubernetes)
Hive version 3.0.0
Any help greatly appreciate. Google search for problems with ThriftHTTPCliService came up short.
For anyone that come across this post.
I upgraded to Hive 3.1.0, along with the metastore schema.
This fixed the issue, although unsure as to the underlying cause.

Issue in oozie installation: Error: IO_ERROR : java.net.UnknownHostException: master

I tried to install oozie on my pc and looks like successfully installed
oozie admin -oozie http://localhost:11000/oozie -status
System mode: NORMAL
But when running an oozie job it is showing below error
Error: IO_ERROR : java.net.UnknownHostException: master
Can you please suggest what could be the reason?
The reason for this failure could be further examined in oozie.log, which usually located in /var/log/oozie folder for CDH distribution. Or the log location could be examined with command:
ps -ef | grep oozie
and look for "-Doozie.log.dir=..."
And the oozie host needs to be reachable from the host where the command line is invoked. Try telnet to oozie port to make sure connection is good. An example session is like this:
[cloudera#localhost hadoop-yarn]$ telnet master 11000
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to master.
Escape character is '^]'.

How can I access a VM console from the command line of another machine

I have a VMWare vSphere 5.5 Hypervisor with a RHEL VM running on it.
From my understanding of the documentation at http://libvirt.org/drvesx.html, I believe I should be able to interact fully with the VM using libvirt, via virsh.
However, after connecting to the hypervisor, when I attempt to start a console via:
virsh -c esx://$USER#$HOST?no_verify=1 console VMNAME
I receive the following:
Connected to domain VMNAME
Escape character is ^]
error: this function is not supported by the connection driver: virDomainOpenConsole
Am I doing something wrong or does libvirt not allow access to the VM console via an ESX Hypervisor?
By the error message, it looks like the ESX driver doesn't allow the user to open a VM console. There's not much to do then...

opensuse network management undefined

I did an update on my opensuse box and networking stopped working. The system is trying to use networkmanager, even though it isn't installed. I am using yast to try and get it to use ifup, but it complains about no network connection. I tried running:
ifup eth0
and I get back:
Network is managed by '' -> skipping
Does anyone out there know why it is coming back empty and if there is a config file that I can manually tweak to fix this?
I'm assuming you are running 12.3 or 13.1 with systemd.
Disable network manager if it exists:
systemctl disable networkmanager.service
Enable network.service:
systemctl enable network.service
Make sure ifcfg-eth0 exists with a configuration in /etc/sysconfig/network/
Run ifup eth0
Hope this will help someone.
1. Disable NetworkManager, Stop is and then enable it and restart it respectively.
2. All this happens in console. Check the status for NetworkManager and in the status messages it should show that the interface(wierless) is disconnected. Confirm this by typing command "sudo nmcli c"
3. Type command "sudo iwlist (wireless-interface) scan" to show you the available wireless networks
4. If you see the network that you want to connect to listed, type command "nmcli a" and enter the corresponding connect phrase/password to connect
