Lock and Edit Button is Weblogic 12C admin console is not responding , - console

Lock and Edit Button is Weblogic 12C admin console is not responding , when I click it it just keeps loading and nothing happens , I have tried Different Browsers with different cache settings nothing works. I want to make changes to the console . Is there any resolution?
This is a strange issue I could not find answers for this anywhere

Take a thread dump at the AdminServer JVM at the time it "hangs". To see what hangs exactly. If you are running inside an virtual Linux VM adding Java Option -Djava.security.egd=file:/dev/./urandom might be worth to try.

Windows Explorer not refreshing after CreateFolder (new folder)

We have built a WebDav Service with your Engine and have a one problem when we create a new Folder or File:
The new folder / file is created successfully, but not showing in the Windows Explorer. Only if you press F5, the new folder / file is showing (and the name is already selected to be edited).
This behavior is reproducible even with a blank WebDav Solution.
We can reproduce this on Windows 7 and Windows 8 (8.1) using WebDav .NET Server 3.8 and the latest 3.9.
Is there a way to get around this “refresh-problem”?
I solved this issue but clicking in the folder explorer at view > options > then i restored to default and everything is back to normal.
I assume this issue is in Windows Explorer on a single computer. Most likely the WebDAV server-side code is failing with with some exception. Here are some ideas how to detect what is wrong:
Unmount network connections executing 'net use * /DELETE' in a command prompt, this will unmount WebDAV connections too and simulate 'clean' environment.
Retry reproducing the issue and examine your WebDAV logfile. By default it is located in /App_Data/WebDAV/Logs/ folder. Are there any exceptions in it?
Use Fiddler tool or any other debugging proxy to capture and examine HTTP requests. Are there any failed requests?
In case you are creating a folder/file on one computer using Windows Explorer (Microsoft Mini-redirector driver) or IT Hit Ajax File Browser and expect the files list to refresh automatically on another computer this would not work. Mini-redirector does not support any notifications from server and WebDAV does not submit any notifications, you need to refresh the files list manually to see the new items created.
I found this video on Youtube that explains in very much detail how to fix this problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUiCPsQquqc
It is a bit lengthy, so I'll just quickly sum it up here:
The reason for these problems are one or more (broken) Shell Extensions that prevent the refresh of the Windows Explorer
To fix it, open up regedit.exe (requires admin privileges), do a search for the Registry Key "DontRefresh". If it is "1", set it to "0". There might be multiple matches for that Key, so repeat until all Keys have the value "0".
This might not work immediately, you may have to kill and restart your explorer.exe process (easiest to do with the Task Manager). Or you can simply reboot your computer. In my case, it worked immediately.
According to the video, the Keys should only be located under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID, but in my case I could only find such Keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Classes/Wow6432Node/CLSID.
I figured it makes most sense to simply search the complete Registry, it does not take very long.
I tred a lot of hacks, from scanning the system, to recreating the profile to hacking Registry keys and hives.
Finally what worked for me -
Right click on desktop
Select Personalize
Click Themes
Click Change desktop icons
Click Restore default & OK
And instantly it began to auto refresh with a new folder, rename, delete, copy, etc.

Booting up Teradata express VM using VirtualBox

I downloaded the Teradata express VM today. But I don't use vmware... i use virtual box instead. I created a new VM and added all the vmdk disk files to virtual box.
but it is throwing error could not find /dev/disk/by-label/ROOT-BE1. Want me to fall back to /dev/disk/by-path/pci-0000:00
does anyone know how to boot the vm image with virtual box?
I have the same problem, with the same message. The same mistake.
The solution is simple. Just change the Storage Controler to SCSI. After this, restart the VM and it will start normally, but in command line.
I try, but i can't run the startx command...
Try adding IDE controller and then add the disk as existing hard disk device. This should let you boot into the OS.
I saw this exact error when trying to load the VM in KVM. What seemed to fix it was selecting 'single user mode' in the grub menu. After booting like this once, selecting the default grub option subsequently allowed the VM to boot further than this error.
Note that I haven't been able to successfully bring up the actual database yet - the service doesn't start automatically, and when I start it manually, it reboots the VM, bringing me back to the same state as before. Maybe you'll have more luck with VirtualBox?

Glassfish admin console slow loading

Today I stopped/started my GlassfishV3 instance and now I cannot access the addmin console located at http://servername:4848/. The screen says: "The admin console is loading..." This is going on forever now.
I have tried as follows:
I have tried adding the following entry to my domain.xml located at /glassfishv3/glassfish/domains/domain1/config as suggested in another Stack Overflow Q&A but after restarting the server still no luck.
<java-options>-Dcom.sun.enterprise.tools.admingui.NO_NETWORK=true</java-options>
I have also installed glassfishv3 on my local machine and cannot recreate the problem.I can go to http://localhost:4848 without any problem.
I have also looked at the server.log and jvm.log files located under the /glassfishv3/glassfish/domains/domain1/logs and nothing there that shed some light.
Any help would be very much appreciated
I had similar symptoms, and I tried some of what Dario had suggested as well, but it didn't work. It could be that I had a unique configuration for my dev env: I'm running Glassfish 3.1 on a VirtualBox Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit guest on a Windows 7 64-bit host. Quite by accident, I discovered an additional symptom: if I turned off the network on the Ubuntu guest, the console would load successfully on a localhost browser instance. That is, on the Ubuntu guest with the network off, I could successfully navigate to http://localhost:4848 and show the Glassfish admin console as expected. However, if the Ubuntu guest's network was on, I had the exact behavior suggested by the original poster: http://localhost:4848 would just sit forever on the inial loading page.
To make a long story short, I found that adding the following argument to the JVM options for server-config fixed the problem:
-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
When I made that change and restarted the Glassfish server, everything worked.
(Note that I also had in place some of the other settings recommended above, i.e., NO_NETWORK=true, and I'd adjusted the JVM memory footprint and set it to -server instead of -client. It could be that these settings are required as well, though they weren't sufficient on their own in my case.)
I was having this exact same problem. I could deploy in run mode, but it would hang forever in Debug mode. IntelliJ was hanging on the breakpoints. I muted the breakpoints, and glassfish3 worked good as new. I didn't have to change any domain.xml settings. Check your breakpoints!
I found a solution to my problem. Setting the java-option to NO_NETWORK to true did not work so I upgraded from 3.0.1 to 3.1 and it got fixed. Not immediately though, I had to stop/start the Glassfish server a couple of times before I got into the admin console without any really long delays.
Solution
The solution was to upgrade from the command line using the pkg utility.
You can find the steps in this link:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E18930_01/html/821-2437/gkthu.html#gktjf
Or do as follows:
Go to as-install-parent/bin
./pkg image-update
as-install-parent/glassfish/bin/asadmin start-domain --upgrade domain-name
as-install-parent/glassfish/bin/asadmin start-domain domain-name
UPDATE
I had peformance issues again and I found this other solution in Joshi's tech blog:
http://joshitech.blogspot.com/2009/09/glassfish-application-server.html
Basically add the following jvm options in the domain.xml. It should increase Glassfish boot up and deployment performance:
<jvm-options>-server</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-Xms3000m</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-Xmx3000m</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-XX:MaxPermSize=192m</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-XX:NewRatio=2</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-XX:+AggressiveHeap</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-XX:+AggressiveOpts</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-XX:+UseParallelGC</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-XX:+UseParallelOldGC</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-XX:ParallelGCThreads=5</jvm-options>
I don't know if you are referencing this answer, but there is a second step described (disabling update module).
Two more ideas:
Check if the NO_NETWORK=true option really works (there should be no ads in GF admin console)
Watch the server.log (glassfish-install-dir/glassfis/domains/domain1/logs) during startup and look for the last log entry before the delay occurs. This could be a hint for the source of the delay.
Beware of blindly following Dario's example unless you've lots more RAM than most do.
-Xms3000m gives 3gb to Glassfish. Do YOU have that much spare RAM?
I tried this on my 4gb Mac with 1gb for Glassfish. Made no discernable difference at all...performance still sux.

Adobe AIR NativeProcess - UAC problems when trying to run update installers

I'm trying to use Adobe AIR 2's NativeProcess API to emulate the ApplicationUpdater but I'm encountering problems when I try to run the downloaded AppUpdater.exe file on computers with UAC (User Account Control) enabled.
When run without UAC enabled, the AppUpdater opens as usual and displays the standard Adobe replace dialog box. With UAC enabled, nothing happens at all.
Having run a few traces, it seems the problem arises when I call NativeProcess.start() - the code seems to stop running at this point, and does not run the following lines which exit the application in preparation for the AppUpdater to run.
I have added listeners for all of the possible events and error events that can be thrown, and added logging in each of them, but none of these are producing any output.
This issue only seems to affect installation executables (ones which windows warns will change settings on your computer). Calling java.exe -jar .... on the same computers in the same application works correctly.
I'm at a loss, so any help would be amazing!
After speaking to Adobe directly, I discovered that NativeProcess uses a windows API which is unable to elevate privileges which is why the installers wouldn't work. The workaround was to use File.openWithDefaultApplication which uses a different API that can elevate privileges, but this only works in a native-packaged AIR app (which was just fine for our app since it was already packaged in a native installer :))
adobe answer was http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404888.html
but for real steps you should determine the application user privileges and determine UAC enabled, if yes - then warn end-user about it.
I'm expecting that you could do nothing with windows-thing from Adobe Air.

EQATEC Profiler - The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found

I'm trying to use EQATEC Profiler to profile my ASP.Net app. I followed the instructions listed here. It worked the first time, but every since then, when I run my app, I don't get a "Profiled app started" message. Then when I click on the "Take snapshot" button, I get the following:
"Taking snapshot ...failed: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found."
Why can't it find my app?
If a profiled app encounters errors it will log these to the profiler.log file. By default you will find this in C:\Windows\Temp\EQATECProfilerLogs. Try to see if it holds some clues. You can also try to enable "Full logging" in the app options, which will at least output something to the log.
A profiled app is actually the "server" when talking to the profiler; it is the profiler that connects to the app, not the other way around. In your case it seems that the old app has stopped listening (otherwise the profiler's attempt to connect would simply be served by the old app), but the new app has not (could not?) started listening.
It seems strange, though, so my best suggestion is to examine the log-file. It will e.g. show if the app could not start its control-server and if so, why not.
1) Try rebuilding (in Equatec) your application. Make sure "enable runtime control" is enabled in the application options when you build.
1a) Try changing the port being used for runtime control.
2) Run your application through Equatec
3) Check if you have anything funny for firewall settings or similar. Some firewalls treat Equatec communication as traffic to be blocked.
4. If all else fails, just close your application normally. Even if taking snapshots fails, you can still see the profile once your application is closed.
Guess I should provide an update on this. The error was resolved once I downloaded the latest version.
