I am trying to get my head round the Hosted Fields framework of Braintree. It has been released just a few days ago and is still in beta.
I looked at the docs. I'm getting the overall idea but it would be nice to have some sort of small working example to start with. I found a github repo but the code does not seem to be working.
Google search did not deliver anything of value (just articles commenting on the idea). Can you point me to a working example (preferably one using rails) ?
I work at Braintree and was one of the developers on the Hosted Fields team. Glad to see so many people using it!
I made a GitHub repo that should answer your question. Basically, you have to set up Braintree on the server, create a client token, and then pass that client token to braintree.setup in the JavaScript.
The bulk of the Hosted Fields work happens in the "new transaction" view.

I work at a small high school and we use WordPress to run our school's website. We here at the school have little to no coding experience so we like to use plug-ins where ever possible to stream line creation. We use EventOn for Google Calendar Integration and what seems like a very simple process of enabling the correct API, creating an API key associated with Google Calendar and triple checking that my calendar ID is correct and in the right format we are still having issues with EventOn plug in fetching our Public Events Calendar. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. It should be noted that this system was working flawlessly up until a week ago and far as we can tell all requisite items are fully updated. I've even tried creating a new calendar as a test and used Google's publicly available Holiday calendar and we're still getting no fetching. Google has been no help. Please help.
I'm really keen to use the 2sxc environment on my website for a number of applications.
I'm currently looking at the Mobius forms.
What I'm wanting to do is create a ticket in ConnectWise rather than send an email, using the ConnectWise REST API.
Some of these questions might have obvious answers to someone who has been taught in these technologies, but I'm self-taught. When I went to school I learnt COBOL!
There is c# code in the application, but I can't see how you build and incorporate into the application. I forked the code and it seems to just code with no build.
There are live and staging folders with the same cshtml files. However, it seems a bit random when the live or staging is actually used. For example, I did a quick fix to the _Contact Form.cshtml so to fix the type that meant it always displayed the ReCaptcha warning, and I changed the live version, which didn't do anything, so I had to change the staging version.
I need to update the settings so that configure the ConnectWise API settings, I haven't been able to find where I can do this? I am still looking though.
I also need to store a private key in the settings. Is there a secure way I can do this?

I'll try to give you some guidance to help you figure it out
Live and staging are folders meant to let you make changes while the users see the unmodified output. So a host-user sees the files from staging, others see what's in live. When you're done and all is tested, you copy from staging to live. This we call Polymorphism.
Polymorphism applies to both the cshtml as well as the api. So as a host-user, you'll be using staging/api/FormController to save/send.
There is no build process, everything is hot-compiled. That's one of the things that makes 2sxc so amazing. No Visual Studio, DLL or restarting the application ;) You'll love it.
Secure keys: there is no special secure key storage. We usually put it in the App-Settings, just like the MailChimp key you'll see there. We split it into two fields for very technical reasons, because we publish our code on github and that causes trouble when our code has API keys. But you can just use one field, assuming you don't plan on publishing the code on github.
I am using firebase functions and I am trying to find out if my users are subscribed to my app by using a firebase function. I wonder how the authentication should be done since I am trying to interface between two google services.

I'm using Hosted Graphite and trying to add deploy events to my grafana dashboard. I first attempted to use the method described here.
The metric is added to graphite with a simple line at the end of the deploy script:

I can show those data points in a simple graph, but using the annotations feature with the "regular metric query" doesn't seem to be adding anything to the graphs.
I'm more interested in using real events, based on: http://obfuscurity.com/2014/01/Graphite-Tip-A-Better-Way-to-Store-Events. This should allow us to tag the event with, for example, the commit hash or git tag. Unfortunately, I can't find anything in the Hosted Graphite documentation about how to get these data into graphite. I also can't find anything about it in the graphite docs.
Despite the lack of docs, I tried posting to a few endpoints, just hoping to get lucky. All of these returned 404:

We don't currently support events, but it is in development.
This is the reason there is no mention of this functionality in our documentation.
We do support annotations based on metrics.

Yes, they have API at http://developer.linkedin.com/index.jspa, allowing access to the profile, connections, messaging and more.
While LinkedIn has promised a public API for a very long time now, they have yet to deliver.
No, there is no public LinkedIn API yet.
IMO, their widgets (which there are only two of at the moment, which are very limited) don't count.
They say that they are open to being contacted with specific uses for their API and they may give access to parts as needed - but that is if they accept your ideas for integration. They have been very picky with this - and have not accepted my attempts to integrate with LinkedIn yet, they tell me I have to wait with everyone else, apparently my applications are not "high-profile" enough.
Sure, you'll find many Google results talking about their "promised" API, but they are empty promises and won't be of much help.

Since there are published Mashups using LinkedIn I would assume that means you can use the API even if the documentation isn't readily available.
As a tip, in the future include links to what you found that didn't work, so we know not to give it to you again.
I poked around a bit more and I found some more on their widgets which appears to be the main focus of their API.
