I have tried vs.net 2013 and 2015
when building a cordova app for windows phone I get the following error.
Severity Description Project File Line
Error 'System.Environment' does not contain a definition for 'OsvCommonersion' [F:\SDKMobile\MobileConsole2\bld\Debug\platforms\wp8\MobileConsole.csproj] MobileConsole2 Device.cs 72
I can't find any docs on this

I moved the node_modules out of the project directory and no longer get this error

ALINK : error AL1019: Metadata failure while creating assembly -- The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable

I have an asp.net webform project that build on system1 but not on system2 (they both are windows 10 and visual studio 2022 Version 17.4.3) and when I build visual studio show an error in error list window :
"Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State
Error Metadata failure while creating assembly -- The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Modabber D:\BehsamanCode\Modabber\Modabber.Web\ALINK"
Also it shows this error in the output window :
"ALINK : error AL1019: Metadata failure while creating assembly -- The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"
I searched these errors and I enabled long path on windows10 and uncheck Sign the assembly but not work.
What should we do?
I don't know how but it resolved. I think system2 hard drive has a problem and after win10 repair it itself then restart windows the problem gone and project builded.

Could not load file or assembly 'CefSharp.Core.Runtime.DLL' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found

We have installed CerfSharp using the NuGet Pakage Manager and created a class library which loads a ChromiumWebBrowser, it works fine on VisualStudio-2019,
When we deployed the class library(DLL) into target location along with required cefsharp supported files as mentioned the readme.txt, which throws following exception
Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'CefSharp.Core.Runtime.DLL' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.
Stack Trace: at CefSharp.Cef.get_IsInitialized()
could anyone help us on this issue?
Added following cefsharp supported files in the target deployment location:
CEF core library.
libcef.dll
Crash reporting library.
chrome_elf.dll
Unicode support data.
icudtl.dat
V8 snapshot data.
snapshot_blob.bin
v8_context_snapshot.bin

IOException in Rhapsody FMI

I'm trying to generate an FMU of a block in IBM Rational Rhapsody using it's FMI profile, but everytime I generate de FMU I get the following error:

Any ideas of what is going on?
Thanks in advance.
I got this problem many times and at the end solved it according to many resources.
First, go to
C:\ProgramData\IBM\Rational\Rhapsody\8.1.1x64\Share\etc\msvcmake.bat
Then open the file and change
if "%4"=="VC10" set VS_PATH=%VS_2010_PATH%
to
if "%4"=="VC10" set VS_PATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0
The path is where you installed the Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0.
The last step (many answers missed this): go to IBM Rational Rhapsody and open your project, then click "Build Framework" at the bottom of "Code" menu.
Then you're free to go!

Build.json Error: Package application for Android

Using Visual Studio RTM 2015 Blank Cordova (5.1.1) TypeScript project to test packaging applications for Android.
Following these instructions: https://github.com/Microsoft/cordova-docs/tree/master/tutorial-package-publish#android
Created the build.json and keystore.
When I publish (Release > Android > Device), I get the following error:
Reading build config file: D:\erase\BlankCordovaApp9\build.json
Command finished with error code 1: cmd /s /c "D:\erase\BlankCordovaApp9\platforms\android\cordova\build.bat --debug --buildConfig=D:\erase\BlankCordovaApp9\build.json"
ERROR building one of the platforms : error : cmd: Command failed with exit code 1
Are the instructions still accurate for 2015 RTM? Using the instructions I get Misssing a comma after an object member when using the suggested format in build.json.

Windows Azure and GitHub: build error on web.config

I've created a new ASP.NET MVC 4 project using the HotTowel SPA template. I haven't changed very much as you can see in my GitHub repository. I've set up Windows Azure to take in the changes and deploy to hourlee.azurewebsites.net, but nothing happened.
When I check my dashboard, it seems something went wrong. Windows Azure is complaining about an error in my Web.Release.config file.
More specifically, this is the error message:
D:\home\site\repository\Hourly\Web.Release.config(1,1): error : Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1. [D:\home\site\repository\Hourly\Hourly.csproj]
Failed exitCode=1, command="D:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\MSBuild.exe" "D:\home\site\repository\Hourly\Hourly.csproj" /nologo /verbosity:m /t:Build /t:pipelinePreDeployCopyAllFilesToOneFolder /p:_PackageTempDir="C:\DWASFiles\Sites\hourlee\Temp\208c4975-46bc-4f4f-89d8-6ae54a5289d8";AutoParameterizationWebConfigConnectionStrings=false;Configuration=Release /p:SolutionDir="D:\home\site\repository\.\\"
An error has occurred during web site deployment.
It's repeated again (the entire message is longer).
I haven't changed anything in the web.config files and the whole thing builds and runs locally too.
I've noticed that it works when I remove the transform file (web.Debug.config and web.Release.config).
