My google + Sign in button is throwing this error. What should I do.
I have already changed my app name, redirect url and scope.
Thank you!
I have solved it by changing the client id and the origin url..

Firebase tells me to do this:
So I did
But I'm still getting this error "The provided value for the input parameter 'redirect_uri' is not valid"
I feel like I've followed instructions exactly but it's still not working. I have no idea how to debug this further. Any suggestions?
Here is my frontend code where I call signIn
let provider = new firebase.auth.OAuthProvider("microsoft.com");
provider.addScope("Calendars.Read");
firebase.auth().signInWithPopup(provider).then(handleResponse);
Edit
I changed the url to my custom domain and it seemed to be working but now I'm getting Error getting verification code from microsoft.com response: proof key for code exchange is required for cross-origin
For some reason Firebase decided to change the url where it handled auth. Instead of using the .firebaseapp.com/__/auth/handler url, it is using my actual custom domain. Though I don't really understand why this would happen...?
The Error getting verification code from microsoft.com response: proof key for code exchange is required for cross-origin was happening because I had configured an SPA on Azure instead of a Web platform.
I am using Auth0 NextJs SDK for authentication in my NextJS App. I am following this tutorial https://auth0.com/blog/introducing-the-auth0-next-js-sdk/. In my local machine, everything works fine.
The configuration for Auth0 in my local server:
AUTH0_SECRET=XXXXX
AUTH0_BASE_URL=http://localhost:3000
AUTH0_ISSUER_BASE_URL=https://myappfakename.us.auth0.com
AUTH0_CLIENT_ID=XXXX
AUTH0_CLIENT_SECRET=XXXX
In the Auth0 Dashboard, I added the following URLs :
Allowed Callback URLs: http://localhost:3000/api/auth/callback
Allowed Logout URLs: http://localhost:3000/
My local app works locally fine.
I uploaded the app on Vercel. And changed the
AUTH0_BASE_URL=https://mysitefakename.vercel.app/
In Auth0 Dashboard, updated the following information:
Allowed Callback URLs: https://mysitefakename.vercel.app/api/auth/callback
Allowed Logout URLs: https://mysitefakename.vercel.app
I am getting the following error:
Oops!, something went wrong
Callback URL mismatch.
The provided redirect_uri is not in the list of allowed callback URLs.
Please go to the Application Settings page and make sure you are sending a valid callback url from your application
What changes I should make it works from Vercel as well?
You can try to check if vercel isn't changing the url when redirecting to auth0. Your configurations seems good to me. The error is very explicit though. I think a good option should be to verify that the redirect (if handled by vercel) is doing with the same url as auth0 expects.
And don't forget to add the url you're currently on when performing the callback. Are you in https://mysitefakename.vercel.app/api/auth/callback when the callback is executed? (call auth0).
you have to change your base url in the env.local file
AUTH0_BASE_URL=https://mysitefakename.vercel.app/
you can also make two more env files namely env.development and env.production and set different base urls for different cases so that the correct base url is automatically loaded depending on how ur web app is running.
You need to add handleLogin under api/auth/[...auth0].js and that will solve it:
import { handleAuth, handleLogin } from '#auth0/nextjs-auth0';
export default handleAuth({
async login(request, response) {
await handleLogin(request, response, {
returnTo: '/profile',
});
},
});
Don't forget to also add allowed callback url in [Auth0 Dashboard]: https://manage.auth0.com/dashboard for your hosted app for both local and hosted instance:
http://localhost:3000/api/auth/callback, https://*.vercel.app/api/auth/callback
I write a code to access Firebase.
I use HTTPRequest to login, register, delete account etc.
All work well but one method - logout = SignOutUser - always returns with 404 Error, unknown URL.
Links that work with HTTPRequest:
https://www.googleapis.com/identitytoolkit/v3/relyingparty/verifyPassword?key=%s
https://www.googleapis.com/identitytoolkit/v3/relyingparty/signupNewUser?key=%s
https://www.googleapis.com/identitytoolkit/v3/relyingparty/deleteAccount?key=%s
(with proper API key added to the string, of course)
And the one that doesn't work:
https://www.googleapis.com/identitytoolkit/v3/relyingparty/signOutUser?key=%s
What can be the problem? Can it be fixed?
Is there any other way to logout a user?
I write the code in gdscript, but I tried it via web code too, same result.
Thank you in advance!
I have been trying to use the firebase fire chat, it works using the default demo url (http://firechat.firebaseapp.com). However, as soon as I change it to my URL it does not work, even though I have enabled twitter login, and I have twitter authentication working on another firebase app. The error message I get is the following:
{"error":{"code":"ROUTE_NOT_FOUND","message":"Route not found."}}
Any idea?
source: https://github.com/firebase/firechat
The twitter callback url for your app should be:
https://auth.firebase.com/v2/your-firebase-app-name/auth/twitter/callback
I found the answer, in the Twitter app settings, the following option was ticked. So, I untucked it and it is now working
Enable Callback Locking (It is recommended to enable callback locking to ensure apps cannot overwrite the callback url)
you need to set Callback URL in https://apps.twitter.com/app/xxxxxx/settingsfor example, https://auth.firebase.com/v2/xxxxxxx/auth/twitter/callback
for HERE REST api I have registered app_id and app_key and appended them in url but it is giving me this "error"Unauthorized","error_description":"Unauthorized. The request is not from an authorized source "
Also, the FAQs page mentions the following:
How do I generate an app_id and app_code for my application?
To generate an app_id and app_code for an application, you need to
sign in then go to https://developer.here.com/plans to select and
register for the appropriate plan.
At the final step in the registration process, an app_id and app_code
is automatically generated for your application.
Please note, it can take up to an hour for a new app_id to be whitelisted against all services.
So if you had just created your credentials when you got this error, you may want to try again.
Looking back at the error I received when I attempted to access the API, however, I got the following response:
{"details":"invalid credentials for I5zJljd5cZyOx5SyROKT","additionalData":[],"type":"PermissionError","subtype":"InvalidCredentials"}
So it may be that Jason's comment above is more appropriate but I'll leave this answer for other users who may come searching after creating new credentials.
A good way to check your credentials would be to make a valid URL call to any of the REST APIs - e.g. the Geocoder API: https://geocoder.cit.api.here.com/6.2/geocode.json?searchtext=London&app_id={YOUR_APP_ID}&app_code={YOUR_APP_CODE} - it gives an error response for an invalid pair.
As mentioned in the answer : Need separate credentials for WSE API? - you may need to request additional access for the HERE Platform extensions
